  • Once and for all... is Chris Cornell a fucking atheist or not?? I mean hell, does anyone know the fucking truth or not????? damn...........

  • @TheKeetkeet66 hes not....for sure. this song is about policians and people and general using jesus to make themselves look better when theyre actually evil. ive seen an interview where he talks about jesus and how he tries to live by jesus' message

  • Chris is the second Angus Young\m/

  • I wonder if any vocalist could cover this?

  • with guitar belt longer than his hands bass guy hardly has got a chance to play all the notes he wants

  • out of all the years pinkpop has been going. i would choose this one to go back in time to. RHCP, SOUNDGARDEN, PJ, CYPRESS HILL, STP, RAGE, and ICE CUBE in his prime. What a lineup!

  • kim thayil is the coolest browm guy since ghandi

  • Saw them in SF last week. This was definately my favorite song of the night!

  • I meant give them a shot.

  • Hey brothers, I'm just getting into Soundgarden and i really like this track along with Black Hole Sun and Slaves & Bulldozers. I'm a big Slayer/Alice in Chains fan so I was wondering if i should give this band a sho, and if so, which album should i start out with?

  • @big20fish buy superunknown killer album

  • @big20fish Start with Superunkown AND Badmotorfinger around the same time, both are absolute classics.

  • @big20fish Bottom upwards mate, find what you like. Superunknown is my personal favourite however.

  • music will always look back to its roots for inspiration but infuse that with originality and individuality and personal expression.

  • well the bassist sure took advantage of the fact that they stayed in the netherlands for at least a day

  • hey guys, we´re a new Rock Band from germany

  • god i want him!!!

  • Isn't that slash on the back of Chris' shirt at 0:37 ?

  • @mihsathe yeah they opened for guns n roses on the UYI tour

  • We must seek reality instead of fantasy, truth instead of myth and deception. Search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says. Show it to everyone you can reach.

  • god<chuck norris<matt cameron

  • Amazing!

  • Jesus..

  • Chris Cornell simple has the best genetics to exist... You can think about it... He knows that... But as he said before, he also fucked up as we all...

  • @KobySGSRV his voice is impossible. i would love to hear someone scream like this now, and mean it. I mean, he gives the gd electric guitar some serious competition and there aren't many people who can do that.

  • @llel11

It's not all about the screaming... He is one of the most talented songwriters/Musicians ever... When I saw him about 3 years ago it was one of the happiest days in my life! Hope to see him again in Amsterdam!!! with a fuckin huge sativa blunt in my hand hahaha

    peace :)

  • @KobySGSRV Fuck yea man, take me with you.

  • Comment removed

  • love it, love soundgarden, love Kim's dancing at 3.30..

  • fuck...lip syncing to this song right now..

  • Biased nostalgia is a sign of old age

  • havent these guys ever heard of fashion?

  • @mediattackrecords Haven't you ever heard of the 90s?

  • @mediattackrecords fashion? this is not queer dick for the gay fuck whatever you call that show u watch you cum swallowing piece of shit, who cares about looks? it's about the music you fucking anal secretion cock crippled poser!!

  • @mediattackrecords The whole grunge movement was about being yourself and giving a flying fuck about what the mainstream is doing or what it wants you to do.

  • wow they had horrible a anf r for clothing the bassist is the only one who looks entertaining

  • time travel, time travel to go to this concert, my god!!!

  • Awesome Matt cameron.

  • I think Ben Shepard is wearing platforms

  • Its cool and all, but I wish the bass player could hang it a little lower...

  • ben shepard should patten his base extentions

  • Awesome! So much energy onstage, incredible!

  • is a Silverburst the guitar of cornell?

  • Excellent musicians . Matt is a genious.

  • I think out of all the Grunge Drummers, Matt Camerons the Best!

his fills have so much more finess and exuberance! I think thats where his

jazz playing influence comes in. you know the whole "hard bop playing thing".

    and hes very underrated.

  • @GrungeMetalRocker

he seems to be so good here, but when you hear him in pearl jam its just dissapointment, he actually plays like the same beat for every song, it just sounds dead square. dont know what happened.

  • @JHo4God What are you talking about? Of course its simple in Pearl Jam, their a simple 4/4 beat band. He plays what appropriate for their songs.

  • @TheDukeljk im talking about him not playing well in pearl jam.

dave A didnt have any problem playing with a load of groove on any of their 'simple 4/4 beat songs'.

  • @GrungeMetalRocker I like him in Soundgarden. But I don't like him in Pearl Jam. Dave A. fits my taste a lot more. Just look up "Pearl jam Rearviewmirror Seattle 1993" to see what I mean. It's stunning.

    !

Nonetheless, this is a top notch performance!

  • @GrungeMetalRocker I couldn't agree more!!!

  • @GrungeMetalRocker someone with sense, ty for the fresh air...........Grunge Metal

  • @GrungeMetalRocker I'm not even a huge Soundgarden fan, but Matt Cameron is one of the best rock drummers of the modern era. Such a distinct voice, unrelenting power, but also full of subtlety and nuance that isn't immediately obvious from such hard-edged numbers like this one. Incredible talent.

  • @GrungeMetalRocker sg are rock band / heavy metal band..to call them grunge is lame ....

  • @GrungeMetalRocker I agree he's one of the best, but really hard one. Kotche for Wilco's my fav going now. Then I really liked the Tree's Barrett Martin. tough 1

  • what guitar is ben using

  • jesus ballz to the wall!!!

  • awesome performance.....

  • punch me in the face music

  • What a voice.

  • the riff just gets ya goin every time

  • For years I thought he was saying "It wouldn't pain me more to bury you in bits, than to bury you whole." I love the actual lyrics, but I think mine are better. XD

  • i luv grunge nd stoner rock... duz this mean ima be a stoner wen im older?? :)

  • IS this bashig on Jesus

  • @dynasticmatt95 no its not lol. but if you listen closely, you can hear Jesus singing.

  • @dynasticmatt95 it could be. but the lyrics are actually disparaging somebody who is acting like a savior - he/she is trying to act high and mighty by putting others down.

  • @dynasticmatt95 No, I think it's bashing on the holier-than-thou martyr types.

  • too bad Pinkpop's turned to shit now...

  • @nibo1980y

    WHAT! Shit? NoOOoo!

So Foo Fighters is shit? and Kaiser Chiefs? and Wolfmother? and Coldplay?

and in 2010 they had Rammstein, Motörhead, Triggerfinger etc.

2009 was shitty, that's true but 2008 was a great year with QOTSA, Rage against the Machine..

remember that pinkpop is also for the pop-fans...

  • Wow. Great performance.

  • punk rock meets stoner rock in the best example of the 90s

  • Matt Cameron is an excellent drummer.

  • out of all the drummers that came from Seattle!

Matt Cameron was by far the best! hes more of a Jazz Drummer!

    then a rock drummer.

  • @GrungeMetalRocker than* sorry i had to it's a habbit

  • @pdrums777

    lol !

  • "fluttergirl1" haha I see what u did thar.

  • this was probably their worst live preformance, and it was still great :L

  • Chris is very high here. We need to get drugs back into the hands of musicians again. I'm getting sick of this pop rock, emo, Bieber fever, Ke$ha, culture that we've allowed the music industry to lay on us. It's really our fault as consumers for not demanding more inspired music and listening to any stupid shit at clubs and bars. I was a teen in the 90's and I thank god every day for it. Younger people got screwed.

  • That, my friends, is how you wear the bass like black guys wear their pants..... just sayin

  • 52 justin beiber fans

  • No actually that's not how you play bass. As a bass player it;'s just easier to have the bas closer to your body. Dude's an okay bass player, but analyze real badasses like claypool, bootsy, larry graham, etc. and you'll se they dont play like that.

  • The 90's was the last great decade of music. Music today nothing but trash.

  • @davidlm6974 there is still plenty of great music now too...just none of it is on MTV anymore. It's all underground again.

  • @davidlm6974 : dig a bit in the underdog and you'll found some pearl but i agree, there's no original international artists (or almost not) in the 00's

  • @davidlm6974 i guess that Tool,Opeth, Mastodon,Meshuggah and many others would someway disagree... ;)

  • @davidlm6974 listen to nine inch nails or blood red shoes, saying music today is trash makes you sound like an idiot

  • @SmilinShadow No he's right. There may be some exceptions, but those bands you said are none of them. They are missing a certain vibe. I mean, if you listen to them, you can really tell they're a band of the 21th century. They don't have the attitude and the raw power I'm looking for.

  • Comment removed

  • @davidlm6974 well if youre looking at the mainstream and radio to play good music it will never happen. there are so many incredible bands that will never get any attention they truly deserve. dig deep and check out the internet or whatever else resources you have. you will be glad you did!!

  • @davidlm6974 So why bitch about it when instead, Grab some of your friends and make a band?

  • @davidlm6974 - blah blah blah. Do you know many people say that about the 70's, the 90's, the 60's. In 20 years time they'll be saying it about this decade.

Music is forever expanding and changing. It's all there - just look harder

  • @davidlm6974 The music sucks today because the people are stupider today than they were in the '90s.

  • @1776bricks --- Because 'stupider' is a word...

  • @davidlm6974 Well I did just here a song from Alter Bridge and that was not too bad. Tremonti is talented and the singer is good, too. But, yeah, overall... there is not much out there that competes with this. I still have my Badmotorfinger cassette. :D At least I've upgraded to the CD now. Peace and rock on Soundgarden!

  • @davidlm6974 No, there's plenty of great rock music out today. It's just harder to find now because instead of finding and supporting new bands people just listen to old music and complain about how music today sucks.

  • @TehGeekShow Amen to that. The 90s had just as much garbage as today. Same with every decade. You could even argue theres more great music today, what with the internet and such.

  • @davidlm6974 taste is subjective. Only ONE decade has passed since the 90s, so your statement is quite empty. The past decade had some great artists, but none quite as great as the 90s I agree with you on that, but today's music is quite great. Keep researching, you'll find gems.

  • só barulho! mas barulho bom!!

  • how fucking low can he play the bass?

  • Chris cornell has a fucking good voice.

  • Pinkpop 1992 the best fucking festival ever Pearl jam and Soundgarden two epic shows

  • Now this is music

  • Yeah, This is " kinda KIck ass!"

  • Pearl Jam and Soundgarden raped the shit outta Pinkpop

  • Now THIS IS MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!

  • evrytime i see chris cornell before 93 he's wearing those shirts that say 90, where the hell can I get one and what is the brand?

  • @AdrianMutu87 - holy shit you're a moron...

  • @bunnyhead71 you judge quickly. i own newbs like you

  • @AdrianMutu87 wow if i had a dollar for every time someone made a dumbass comment like yours...

  • @mlbmlsnfl listen to yourself speak, chiching, chiching

  • I'm disappointed this song isn't on the Telephantasm single-cd version. I LOVE Chris's voice... he is the voice of rock music. How can anyone be this talented?

  • best soudgarden song and there is a lot of good soundgarden songs :D

  • Yea HELL VOICE

  • Awesome!

  • i feel bad for the bass you guys

  • how come u never see kim do much ?

  • And God so loved Soundgarden He gave them His only song.

  • Great one. Excellent.

  • Imagine everman saying back in home to neighbour kids...Hey dudes, I was in both Nirvana and Soundgaren and they say "yeah, right"

  • 3:27 - 3:31

Lol xD The way he moves his head on the music is epic :p

  • Check out Cornell giving the cameraman the finger at 4:03. Righteous.

  • But you're staring at me like I, LIKE I NEED TO BE SAVED!

  • After you watch this on, go to the Lola 2010 version. They haven't missed a beat-unbelievable..
