  • OMG every time i see Cooper and Mike, I get tears in my eyes.

  • Our dog just was diagnosed with Blastomycosis. He lost his right eye and has a partial retina in his left. He started meds this week, but fear it will not save the eye! YOU INSPIRED ME and my husband. Probert is only 2 and has so much life to live

  • Thank goodness this video is still on here!.. I still watch it a few times during a month. And my GSP buddies watch it too... Thank you!

  • I have a lab that went blind this year before duck season. This video inspired me to continue hunting with him. It was the best decision I ever made. I posted a video on youtube with all of Gators retrieves this year. Its pretty amazing. Search "Gator the blind retriever"

  • I have to say this is an amazing story. Just really no words for it. Gives a new definition to man's best friend.

  • amazing :o

  • This is my favorite video on YT.

  • I love this dog it remind me of my black lab

    That just passed

  • Your story was great!! My best friend is suddenly going blind. Its been 6 days since first signs have shown up and she is deteriorating quickly. You give us a positive to look forward to. Right now we are sad, in shock, and our best friend is depressed.

Thank you for sharing. Anyone who wants to see can look at Maddie4-22.

  • As the General would have said " Thats as good as a dog can be as good as a dog can be" Great story!!!!! Go gettum Cooper!

  • This is amazing! Thank you for not giving up on him.

  • Pleasee dont ever take this off of youtube!!!.. I think I watch it at least once a week and have told countless people about it as well as the GSP Rescue Group that I belong to. No doubt in my mind that Mike and Cooper will have long and happy lives!!! Thank you so very much!

  • What a great story, what a great team. This is what it is all about. You Rock, Coop!

  • Fair play to you! My dad had a gsp when i was young (badger) he lost an eye too but his sight was grand in his other eye but he used to crash into the odd thing on his left side. Fair play again needless to say ive caught the pointer bug my self ive two of them now great fun.

  • Love this story. Wish everyone would treat their dogs as good. Hope he has a long and happy life!!

  • Great story.....a lesson for us all. He's lucky he has a "seeing eye human" that will let him do what he was meant to do!

  • What amazing love and loyalty! Thank you so much for saving that beautiful best friend of yours! My husband and I are hunters...not birds, but we take our babies with us and blind, sighted, wheeled..whatever...we'd take them too! Great story...wonderful spirit lifting story!

  • Great owner, great dog, great story!

  • Great story, very inspirational.

  • rely on his nose more...good looking dog...

  • Cooper is awesome and so are you for saving him. We know what you went through trying to save him as we too had a battle with blasto in our Gauge GSP. Long hard battle, thanks for sharing and making blasto awareness. Hunt em up Cooper and do what you love! Best regards.

  • truly inspirational :)

  • this dog is truley amazing when i went to pheasnts forever the mentors dog we were using was the same way but the reason she was blind was because she gaot a weed seed caught in her but she still hunts just as well

  • good on ya man..what a good spirited team.

  • He reminds me of my Gps... :(( :((

  • how sweet. I love GSPs, their such good dogs.

  • Great story. Best to both

  • Good story.

  • This is a very good man.

  • I'm speechless and teary-eyed! Great story! Kisses to a very lucky Cooper. The devotion of Cooper's guardian is remarkable - but so are GSPs :)

  • What a beautiful tale of commitment. As a GSP Rescue volunteer, I have seen countless GSPs in shelters, abandoned in the woods, or tossed away because they are gun shy, or just "don't hunt right" If only all owners were as dedicated and committed as this one.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion." -Anonymous-
