He was sexy without being crude and/or vulgar, and he kept his clothes on (good god, what was sexier than those shorts??? Look at those thighs! ). Mayer wanted it destroyed, so there's little reason to believe it actually still exists. I'd like to believe someone went behind his back and made a copy, but I won't hold my breath. How I'd love to see it, though!

@kellyakabilly I've heard the same story that Mayer wanted it destroyed because it was deemed too erotic of a scene and the censorship board would have likely rejected it. Strangely, the film was not preserved even by Minnelli. I doubt it exists at this point; its been about 64 years!

The moustache (and the dance sequence) is a homage to Douglas Fairbanks Sr. If you get a chance, look him up and his fantastic silent film "The Thief Of Bagdhad" released in 1924.
