I'm a psychologist, & I know the Jews were severely traumatized after WWII. They & their descendants are all suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder & other conditions. The world should be patient while they recover. It'll take a couple of generations more for them to heal. In the meantime, just cut them some slack. I already told you why peace initiatives from israel wont work, Israel could give west bank but hamas would keep fighting, israel could dissapear and hamas would keep fighting ( killing jews ), Any effort that israel does for peace is not transcendental. I'm not alone in this opinion: Israel can do much more for peace. Even professors at Israeli universities do share this view.
You know that I support Israel's right to self defence. And I condemn acts of terrorism and to these i would include Qassam attacks, sharply. But this does not conclude from active search for peaceful solutions!
One should never be wasted opportunities for peace!

About fatah: A leader that recongizes the "jewish state" of Israel, they recognize Israel but not its jewish quality and that is not enough.
There are also other things to recognized in the future: a not militarized future palestine and a

About hamas: A leader that renounces terrorism or surrender. Meanwhile they must be destroid.

In the "war against Israel" there could be peace next week if they stop attacking Israel today because what Israel does is always self - defence, self - defence is not negotiable.
Destruction, elimination or surrender of terrorist groups is a duty of all democratic states, that is not negotiable.
Israel is always willing to negotiate with non-terrorists groups.

I love Israel, has had two very nice years there and met good people from both sides, Israelis and Palestinians.
I know that the Palestinian victims are victims of the Hamas, abused as human shields.

If negotiations are made with hamas, they would gain international recognition, pubblic support and that could produce military support from foreign countries. Also, ideologicaly speaking, there can not be negotiation with terrorists organizations because those organizations must be forced to stop using terror as an exchange to be heard.

I'm a psychologist, & I know the Jews were severely traumatized after WWII. They & their descendants are all suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder & other conditions. The world should be patient while they recover. It'll take a couple of generations more for them to heal. In the meantime, just cut them some slack. If the IDF want to fire off some rounds at pesky Palestinians, or explode a few buildings to blow off steam, let them. It's a healthy way to release tension.

The Israeli killings of civilians are accidents. And the Israelis do apologize when they happen. The Palestinians never apologize when they hit Israeli civilians; in fact, the Palestinians are quite happy about it. You can say in hindsight from your armchair in whatever country you're in that there were no terrorists on the beach, but when things were going down at that moment, the Israelis weren't totally certain of that right away.
