  • @morpheusxnyc fyi homie Dre produced a lotta "the firm" stuff including tha classic Phone Tap. Dont ever talk down on a Giant of tha game

  • "Real shit, my Desert Eagle got a ill grip, I chill with, N****s that hit Dominican spots and steal bricks" - Megas untouchable on this one, best fucken line in the song!

But Foxy killed it. The way she broke down the whole operation and process was fucking legendary.

  • @morpheusxnyc That used to be my favourite line and I agree it's great, after listening to the song like 100 times Mega's verse has grown on me more. AZ could have been the best but he needed more time, oh well he killed this nonetheless and he killed Firm Fiasco aswell.

Fox was exceptional, thats probably the best verse I've ever heard from her.

  • Cormega's crazy nice

  • sshiit AZ is so underrated.

  • AZ needed 20 more sec.

  • Damn they blessed that bitch foxy with a verse .she ain't write a sentence of that shit

  • I wish the Firm did more. They could have been up there with NWA and Public Enemy if they did more.

  • cormega and az are sick, nas should put his bullshit aside and make a new album featuring the dudes he used to spit with. not chris brown and shit. " criminal thoughts in the blue porche , my destinys to be the new boss.. that nigga pauly gotta die he too soft, the nigga dead wrong, a key of heroin they found his head on, the couch with his dick in his mouth.. i put the hit out." Raw mafia style rap. if yall aint heard Azs verse on Firm fiasco.. take it in. mind blowing

  • Nas did deffo write that verse coz she says "with my lex gettin pushed by my brother jungle" well jungle is nas's brother so she maybe meanin brother in homie or literally brother which means nas wrote it :D story solved lets now enjoy Real hip hop :D

  • 32/2 = 16 x 2 x 3 = 48???

thats where the fuck up lies. it's 96. but the funny thing is after 48 the math is carried on as if she said 96. 96/4 = 24 - 8 = 16. i wonder if foxy just read nas' hand writing wrong. lol

  • nas is a legend ,foxy brown killed it .

  • "the smoothest killer since Bugsy, bitches love me" haha, thats my shit

    SICK!!!

  • @mrwalker107 cormega gave nas that line tho

  • @Sp33dyMik3 But how do you know that?

  • Heyo I really think it's Suprème NTM, a French hardcore rap group that produced it, Nas participated so he got rights on the song.

  • Heyo I really think it's Suprème NTM, a French hardcore rap group, that produced it, Nas participated so he got rights on the song.

  • foxy proved he needs to go to school... here's what the bitch was rappin

"Thirty-two grams raw, chop it in half, get sixteen, double it times three. We got forty-eight, which mean a whole lot of cream Divide the profit by four, subtract it by eight We back to sixteen..."

  • sick tune

  • did dre produce this ?

  • @dmxrulz I think TrackMasters had this one.

  • @BF33210 "Nas is Coming" began a brief collaboration between Nas and West Coast hip hop producer Dr. Dre. The alliance also resulted in the formation of The Firm, who make their debut on track number eight, "Affirmative Action".

  • @BF33210

No my friend, Trackmasters did much of the production on this album, but this one is Dre.

Check the little booklet that comes in the CD case of It Was Written, I checked that one out when I became old enough to realize the difference between a rapper and a producer.

/1st album I ever owned, walked into Target and bought the cassette when I was 10

  • @BF33210 I think it was Jimmy Henchmen... he shouted him out in teh begging and mentioned their Money Laundering sceme. lmao

  • @dmxrulz You must be retarded!

  • @TheUFOReport then who produced it then ? thats all i asked man

  • @dmxrulz its Dr. Dre..he produce this track.., also Firm Fiasco and Phone Tap..

  • @bigkckrva

Trackmasters produced this track u dum shit, nas didnt even fuck with dre(nor does he) wen this song came out.

  • @acidee100 Song is from It was written. Produced by trackmasters. That being said, dr.dre DID produce sum songs on that album

  • @videgny1

Yeah well Dr Dre is not all that, trackmasters are better producers than Dr Dre.

  • @acidee100 So instead of simply admitting you were wrong, you have to discredit Dre? Name me one bad album he made? Or better, name me on rapper who's album sales didn't blow out after Dre worked his magic on it (firm aside)? C'mon man, respect greatness. Trackmasters aren't bad, but there's being great, and there's being legendary. Dre is a Legend, an Icon.

  • @videgny1

Fine I was wrong, Dre has inmense talent not gonna lie, but I just dont like him as a person, he comes of as arrogant all the time. Plus hes only produced a couple of songs by himself, there is always other producers with him, Scott Storch, Mel Man, Yella.

  • @acidee100 ahh most artist are bastards once they make it big, sad but true. But don't mix your hate for the man and the work he does. I dislike jay-z but he makes great music. It's called collabos' you need them to have that exotic crazy sound. It's often a combination of various producers that produces the best beats. Just like i told my girl more heads could be better than one...for me at least!!!

  • @TheUFOReport This song was produced by Dave Atkinson & Trackmasters in NYC. Dr. Dre only produced one song on this album "Nas is coming"

  • @dmxrulz dre cant get make a new york classic like this

  • @dmxrulz _ Dr. fucking Dre? Are you kidding? Dis here beat be some grimy New York shit, son.. Ain't no whiny squeequing sound effects or country ass funk basslines.

This is that BOOM BAP 90s East Coast shit, playa.

  • sidneyatkins6969 naw dr dre produced that joint "phone tapp"

  • mega n az underated in the the game

  • MEGA > NATURE

  • this is lyrical shit!!

  • Classic......nothing left to say

  • Its The Base...

  • Lol @ EVERYBODY ILLEGALYL DOWNLOADING THIS SONG.

Because if you DIDNT! YOU WOULD KNOW WHERE FOXY'S VERSE ENDED AND IT BECAME WHAT NAS WROTE.

  • attentionnnnn all AZ & FOXY BROWN FANS .. AZ & FOXY BROWN WILL BE AT SOBS in New York City On December 10th, 2009 !!! y'all better be there.. real talk !

  • real shit my desert eagle got a ill grip

  • Az opens like a Lord, and Foxy eats this track up! damn great song.

  • dis song been hard since the 90s

  • Nas, Cormega, and Foxy all spit a ill verse on this track. But my man AZ has the coldest verse on this track. His intro into this track is captivating enough.

Tracks like this rite here is why I love HIP HOP.

  • yo son i love AZ but i think you gotta to listen to mega's verse agin , shit is dope

  • damn, i love this shit, it's just underrated! pure illness here, dope beat! 5!

  • i still find it wierd that nas was in the firm, i guess kuz i never listen to them and i always listen to him on his own

  • My Fav Firm song =D

  • Damnnn nas def killed this shit...

*~*~and now the projects /// is talkin about somebody gotta die shit /// its logic /// as long as its nobody thats in my click ~*~ !!!

    wow loving his verse

  • Comment removed

  • Yo Foxy shined on this shit!! bring back memories of Wingate high School NYC 1998. When tommy, Polo, Avirex, and Jansports was it. Now I gotta spend my rent money on shoes to compete with these lil motherfuccaz

  • Damm son..foxy killed it!! Big up

  • anyone know why nas aint messin wit AZ now?? i just dont understand...this shit is classic

  • I might be misinterpreting what Nas means, but I've heard it said that Escobar doesn't want to live in the past when it comes to his music.

  • if thas what he's sayin, hes trippin...he dont hafta remake old songs...move on, you know? where'd you hear that from?

  • It's always a rumor I've heard. I know it's unfounded, but I get what he's saying to an extent.

  • what is he sayin? they were always on some street intelectual shit..he aint gotta shoot em up bang- not that he ever really did...does that mean he wouldnt do any calab wit anyone from his past???? wus the point????

  • I think he meant that in terms of production and how his albums sound.

  • ?? i guess..

  • nas has always been a walking contradiction. lets not get worked up over it, imo az last couple of albums have been better than nas, this coming from a hardcore nas fan.

  • Is he still doing that album with Marley?

  • @BF33210 yeah he is

  • cold fucking spots man love u nas

  • need a comeback...

  • Nas was supposed to come back in after Foxy's verse which originally ended around "visions of ghandi" and close the song with a second verse. That second half of foxy's verse is actually Nases second verse but he gave it to Foxy to spit because they all thought it sounded better with Foxy spiting it. People mistake this for thinking nas wrote for foxy when he didn't. Foxy wrote her own verse then spat the last half of nas's second verse.

  • @Branded1978 I have never heard besides "Ain't No Nigga" lyricism at it's B-E-S-T! The Jamaican-Asian S-N-I-P-E-R goddess Foxy "Inga" Brown bleeds a S-O-S-A 's lineage! Nas's is the S-O-S-A 's son!

  • Nas did write foxys verse. Nas writes alot her shit. AZ, Nas and Mega on the same track should be illegal. to much talent.

  • No he didn't. If you had the 'It was Written' album you would know that. Its stated in the booklet. Foxy wrote her own verse just like mega and az. Give props where props are due

  • Mega rips a hole in this beats ass

  • foxy kills her verse. same with mega

  • never said foxy b was good at math

  • RIP E Money Bags

  • Cormega killed this song the hardest. he wrote to the beat so well and flowed amazing changeing his voice paterns and shit shit is crazy

  • foxy only out rapped nas cause she had more track time nas never gets out rapped on any track

  • nas wrote foxy verse and nas verse was way better than foxy.

  • no he didn't. you obviously don't have the album because if you did you would know

  • Comment removed

  • yea nas definetly wrote that for foxy, listen to it was written, the album he put this song on, u can tell easily that its just too similar, nas is the best either way

  • Damn, Foxy will you marry me, I just don't believe she outrapped AZ, NAS, and MEGA in one song. NAw no way in hell

  • I've always suspected that Foxy didn't write her verse by herself. Anyone else agree?

  • I'm with you. It sounds like Escobar wrote her verse.

  • agreed.

    nas deff did.

and if we're wrong damn shes good

  • youtube search "the firm - live in nokia theatre".. even nas said foxy wuz the queen of rap. if she didn't write her verse, he wouldn't have given her dat title/credit.. its all real

  • I agree...If she wrote her verse herself, 10 years ago, then why do her rhymes suck now? Now that Nas/Jay ain't working w/ her anymore?

Regardless, her rhymes back then are still tight.

  • not true. some of her best material was after she parted ways with jay/nas.. BROKEN SILENCE is foxy brown's best album and she wrote that album on her own. even "Ill nana 2: the fever" had better lyrics then her first 2 albums.. youtube search both those foxy albums and see for urself..

  • because she's deaf now.. she lost her hearing...

its hard to know how words link up and sound together..

and her flow is fucked because she can't hear herself talk..

  • foxy wrote it.. her name is in the credits.. Inga Marchand .. nas even said it on radio that foxy wrote her own verse.. he did help her wit sum songz but affirmative action was her from what nas said on radio.

  • It's totally Nas. At 3:37 she starts totaling quantities. That's a convention of Nas'. Check out One Mic: Jesus died at age 33, there's thirty-three shots

from twin glocks there's sixteen apiece, that's thirty-two

Which means, one of my guns was holdin 17

Twenty-seven hit your crew, six went into you

    Everybody gotta die sometime;

  • HAHA ive thought the same thing. nas definitely wrote for her she wasnt that talented

  • FOXY!!!

  • Classic AZ

  • 32 chop in half is 16 double it equals 32 times it by 3 = 96.. divide it by 4 = 24.. subtract it by 8.. = 16

  • Which means we got a whole lot of cream.

  • AZ where you at

  • Damn... The Firm: The Album was fuckin sick.

Why did they have to fuckin break up.

    They should get back together.

  • Criminal thoughts in the blue Porsche, my destiny's to be the new boss

That nigga Paulie gotta die - he too soft

That nigga's dead on, a key of her-oin, they found his head on

the couch with his dick in his mouth, I put the hit out

Yo, the smoothest killer since Bugsy, bitches love me

And Queens where my drugs be, I wear Guess jeans and rugbies

Yo my people from Medina they will see you

when you re-up on your heater all your cream go betweeen us

  • "Thirty-two grams raw, chop it in half, get sixteen, double it times three. We got forty-eight, which mean a whole lot of cream Divide the profit by four, subtract it by eight We back to sixteen..."

    huahuahuahuahuahuahuahuahuahuahuahuha²³
