FYI I have one with a 5" barreI had to take apart the hammer/trigger assembly - apparently the pawl plunger (attached to the pawl spring) was fowled inside its little hole...had gunk buildup etc and the spring couldn't push it out of its hole against the pawl so that the action wouldn't cycle the cylinder if pointed up in the air...gravity required it to be pointed down and it would then rotate the cylinder...its important to keep these things clean after firing.
@pacificcoast the rugar was passed down to me, the index trigger had a trig, job done and part of the finger gaurd trimed too, the thumb trig, is also trimed to allow for fast draw action. the cilinder and cilinder carrage are modifide for faster action too. i took the time to load it with "over load " 357mags and faned it quike draw .wont do it again...lol wow !!

cool idea for a vid. i like the commentary/instructional nature of it. is that the original trigger? or did you put an aftermarket one on it?

@scorpiotoyou sounds like a fun gun. i always liked the lines of these Ruger revolvers. even the .22 caliber "single six" is a good looking pistol.

@pacificcoast i agree, the hefty and well designed , but not over done. a sylish work horse pistol.
