  • Thanks a ton, lots of help to an aspiring new pc gamer.

  • Hello i got the AW X51 and it works great but i had a problem where for the game shogun 2 it was using the intel HD graphics and not the gtx 555 but it was using the gtx 555 for my other games. So i disable the intel hd graphics (witch i found out was not good to do) because my screen couldnt connect to my pc. But i fixed it and enabled the intel graphics and now all my games are using the gtx 555 card. Was there somthing i had to do in order to use the GTX 555? also i play arma 2 oa and have e

  • Can the cheapest one play gta iv?

  • Is it possible to put a gtx ti on the alienware i3 or i5

  • can this computer base model but upgraded to 6gb ram handle max settings on cod4 or left 4 dead 2? and what exactly does RAM help with because i used to think it makes games more capable to play but now im torn between whether graphics card does that instead. thanks :P

  • Can u upgrade or replace your CPU if it's dead like other normal pc?

  • Thank you so much for answering all my questions about this PC! I am a total computer noob and you helped a lot. My only criticism is that you speak a bit slower....

BTW could this play skyrim on high or medium settings?

  • @labellavienna I've seen people run skyrim on ultra, no problem. And thanks for the feedback I'll work on that in my future videos. Cheers

  • why was stealing from apple inc to intel core i7 2600 this mac?

  • @trustmacintosh you should see if it can run the gta 4 I enhancer mod.

  • For the cheapest Alienware computer this is boss why waste money on the Aroura when you can get this desktop for about half the price (not dissin any other model, just making a point :). )

  • some people say you can upgrade only until the gtx 560.. not the 560 ti.. cause it uses too much power.. can anyone confirm??

  • Comment removed

  • @Swimmy412 The basic version will play almost everything on at least medium setting which is still better then console counterparts

  • I ordered this today and A sales rep wanted me to buy it using her to place the order. Seriously if your going to do it for me then at least use the right address. I got an email telling me where it is being sent to. Thats not even my address. So much easier to buy it using the site. Gah fu lady

  • And the other 2 versions of the Alienware X51 ? How many FPS can get these versions in BF3? Thanks.

  • If I am looking to get a good PC, with a fast processor, good enough to sustain a good framerate on most games like Skyrim or Battlefield 3, with good graphics, but not to the point of being a graphic god (Battlefield 3 Ultra), does the basic version of the x51 get the job done, or should I look into the i5 versions or i7?

    Any help would be great

    Nice video by the way

  • @Swimmy412 I'm not sure about the basic version but the i5 and i7 versions can

  • To play with to upgrade the video card. Supposedly up to a gtx 570 should work, and even if it didn't, im sure Alienware can release higher watt external power supply (no reason they couldn't) or get nvidia to release great new powerful cards at lower watt consumption. So don't worry guys, this system should be legit for upgrades

  • According to toms hardware, under full load this PC only takes up around 250 watts, so you have about 40-50 watts to p

  • SWTOR on the base model, anyone know if it's possible?

  • This was MUCH more helpful than the like ten other reviews I watched and read lol THANK YOU

  • human eye sees 60 fps :D

  • @xxAL297xx lol it sees waaaaay more than 60

  • Awesome review,, almost all of the stuff you mentioned was correct,, Just the Power supply is external,, AKA there is a power brick,, a massive brick indeed lol. I actually love this idea as the PC isnt really going to overheat or anything like that due to extensive gaming and what not,, the Brick is taking that all in. Once again nice vid man, VERYYY imformative.

  • @Giganatoranator thank you! means alot! Hope the vid was helpful.

  • if i would want to play games like mw3 on med settings with no lag what desktop should i get?

  • Could you please do a screen capture of skyrim or battlefield (or whatever demanding games you have one hand.?) :)

  • Thanks for this really informative video you're great. I will be playing my games on my 720p 50" plasma. So whats the cons of doing this rather than a smaller hd moniter? :-)

  • Can world of warcraft ultra settings be played in the $949.99 model

  • @WrestlingAwesome yes at bearable fps

  • Can you check if world of warcraft in ultra settings can be played

  • @TrustMacintosh great vid dude, when you upgrade to the gtx 560, do you have to order the 330w power brick for the alienware x51? or will the standard 240w be enough to power it?

  • If anyone is interested in some x51 gameplay on max settings for starcraft 2 then check this out (watch?v=6RAmqLmS-iA&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL)

    ps: not my video

  • Thanks so much!!

  • @Swagsta0 You are very welcomed.

  • @TrustMacintosh this may sound stupid, but at what quality will the i3 play minecraft and skyrim......will it play minecraft at full quality?

  • I'd like to know about temperature of the CPU and GPU in both while gaming and idle.

I really like the idea of a gaming PC like that but, I am concerned about whether the temperature of the hardware components maybe too high during gaming. Another thing is the harddrive is too close to the GPU and that can be bad in the long term and may reduce the life span of the Harddrive.

  • This is interesting, but its still not worth buying at that price, but what am I saying this is Alienware. LOL! My gaming rig that I recently build for BF3 has way more power for a cheaper price. I your only really buying it for the form factor, but even then..if you where to upgrade your PC you'd be out of luck. So no...

  • Xbox 360 has a processor after the GPU to scale for the system. The PS3 does not and can not be upscaled for that reason. Also the Cell can not upscale for the GPU. Just wanted to clear that up.

  • Do you think this pc will be able to handle GuildWars 2 on good settings? I know you can't give me a definite answer but i just wanted to get your 2 cents. I plan on buying this comp maxed out with all the best options.

  • Thanks for the info. I've been eyeing this PC for a while cause my brother bought a bad one when I told him not to, I have been stuck with it for a while. Anyways, I've been unsure of some things alienware said about the X51. Do you have anything on the 3D? And does the AlienFusion help or hurt at all? Also I know the title says "Let's talk specs", but do you have another video regarding my questions or other things about the computer in general? Like the built in Wi-Fi? Like yrvidssubscribing

  • Can you triple screen on it? If not, would the other card be able to triple screen?

  • I would like to buy an aleinware x51 but I am unsure what one to buy, All I play is WoW, I want to play on ultra graphics and get 30FPs plus what one should I buy?

  • Wow i was thinking for getting an aurora , but aurora is so expensive , But this alienware looks so magnificent! I think it's worth it!

  • thank you for the insightful review and sharing your full knowledge. this has been really helpful. i ordered the high end one myself. cant wait to receive it.

  • Do you know if their is such thing as an external power supply. If I want to install a 580 of 590 in the future, could I disable the internal supply and add an external power supply?

  • You say "it's possible to upgrade an gtx 560 ti" ; but Dell says it isn't possible.

    Whats true?

  • If anyone is interested I received mine the other day and I am uploading videos of what it can do, don't expect newer games though because I just got into PC gaming. Although if you are interested in how Skyrim runs on it then check us out.

  • will this run skyrim on high pls answer

  • @oohnoscope Yes it will I recieved mine today and it runs skyrim on max besides anti aliasing

  • Thanks you answered a lot of questions. I ordered the x51 with gtx555. Its a great deal for a performing computer. Who cares about 80fps. 30 plus at real HD is awesome.

  • @redmar79 You are very welcome. I'm glad i could help

  • @TrustMacintosh u r a badass. ive been looking for a video like this for like two weeks now. I FUCKING LOVE U. no homo

  • @TheNotAmusedGuys Thank you ! :D

  • can the i5 run world in conflict high settings??? please some one answer me!!

  • Please post ur review of this I plan on buying one but I don't know whether I should yet

  • you can get the upgraded version of this i7,gtx 555,8gb which can run bf3 at 50-60 fps at maximum 1080p

  • @Xedus661 Herp. No. A game like BF3 doesn't utilize a CPU nearly as much as a good GPU, and the GTX 555 is a system retailer only card. It won't do 50-60 FPS at 1920x1080. It will be running maybe 30-40 at ULTRA detail (8xAA, 16xAF) at 1080p.

  • A 580 wont fit

  • can you upgrade the Graphic card to a gtx 580?

  • consoles games are mostly 720p now

  • great vid! i just order mine today and this video helped alot! thanks

  • so the cheap model is more than enough to play games like bad company 2 darksiders arkham city call of duty skyrim etc..... right? oh and how will crysis 2 will play on it on each setting (high very high and extreme)?

  • @ronvnkl232 btw i forgot to ask how big is the hardrive? please answer and thanx

  • @ronvnkl232 I would say medium to high settings if resolution is set at 1080P. Ultra settings are out of the question for each game.

  • @TrustMacintosh ok thanx btw how big is the hardrive?

  • 30 fps is more than enough?

apparently someone smoked a little bit of crack

  • Could the 699 version run cod on medium settings

  • @OhQwizL Yes. It can run bf3 at 1080p at 30fps, it can run MW3 on high I think...

  • can both run skyrim or arma 2 on high please answer!!!!

  • @gorelover199 Yes it can. bf3 is the most demanding game out now. So its safe to assume that skyrim and arma 2 will play smooth on the high end model and even on the 699 model.

  • @TrustMacintosh Would you say these specs which are from the third model of the x51 on the alienware website without any upgrades could run perhaps Shogun 2 TW in Ultra?

    Intel® Core™ i5-2320 (3.00GHz, 6MB L3 Cache, 4C)

English Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)

    1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 555

    8GB 1333MHz (2x4GB) Dual Channel Memory

    Reply please. Thanks

  • @TrustMacintosh Boo. I'm back. The maxed out X51 will run Skyrim at high fine. Skyrim is a VERY CPU-limited game. BF3 is limited by the graphics card, and BF3 is not the most demanding game out right now. That title still goes to Metro 2033. You have to much a good CPU with a good GPU otherwise one will limit or bottleneck the other. However, Skyrim benefits more from a fast CPU, one with a higher clock speed. And BF3 benefits from a more powerful GPU, with high clocks, memory size, and others.

  • @MrBones2525 Did you get the x51? have you been able to test it out?

  • @TrustMacintosh Sadly, no. I've got a massive rig right now. I wanna get this and the Everki Beacon Ultimate backpack for the ultimate LAN party setup. I can detail how this thing will perform based on it's specs benchmarks in other instances.

  • @MrBones2525 ohh okay.

  • @TrustMacintosh would it run bf3 tho?

  • gr8 gj and thank you :)

  • please.

    get a pop filter.

  • @xKhemical1 That will definitely be a later upgrade. Not yet though.

  • Any model can have a blu-ray. So you still stand in the wrong. It's optional for all models.

  • I'm not sure what i need as far as video cards go but will this PC run fable 3 cause im pissed i bought the game and can't play it on my laptop. I know laptops bad Desktop good lol

  • @gorignak64850 It will run fable without any problem.

  • can you change the graphics card or is the power supply too small

  • would the base model be able to play an mmo like wow or swtor on high settings?

  • hey dude, would you recommend the 699?

  • @leanggg I would, it will still eat you ps3/360 alive. lol!!

  • yes it does have a optional blu-ray, you need to know what your talking about before you try to make a video.

  • @alienwareobsessed ONLY the highend model has blu-ray. You need to know what your talking about before you post anything on any video. :)

  • @TrustMacintosh When I go on the uk version of the website there is no option for blu-ray :(

  • @TrustMacintosh Just out of curiosity, how old are you?

  • @anonymsomsjutton I'm 23.

  • @alienwareobsessed go check their website and you will see that the lowest model does not have the option for blu-ray. If you mean by OPTION as in install later then yes. But not through alienware. :)

  • Hey! That was a really nice video. I wanted to ask if you're planning on doing a review when you get your hands on your system? Would be really nice to see what this machine can do. Thnx

  • @Q8Marauder

    Dude stop talking shit.

  • XIXownageXIX yes it has a HDMI but you shouldn't need it as its card is good.

  • Man I'm tired of all you broke asses saying this is terrible and overpriced, bitch this knocks the living crap out of your pitiful cardboard box computer.

  • @Q8Marauder Well, it is pretty overpriced... for $700 you could build a PC that's roughly 3x as powerful as the X51.

Regardless, I love Alienware... even if Dell turned them to shit. I still want one.

  • Comment removed

  • can it run battlefield 3

  • @thriller415 nvm gotta stop commeting before watching

  • @thriller415 Yes! all setting's on high with 50+fps.

  • Does it have a HDMI?

  • @XIXownageXIX Absolutely does.

  • good job man

  • can't wait for your review.

  • Can this baby play the sims 3 With full settings

  • @AllensDesigns I tried, it's running at 10 fps.

  • Do an unboxing.

  • How sure are u this thing can run BF3 at 50 plus frames per second, I heard the 555 will only do 30FPS at 1080p

  • Can i add nvidia geforce gtx 580 on this please answer

  • @zombieapocalypse561

NO! Power supply is way to small

  • Will A GTX 590 installation be possible?

  • @sHAd0W11591 lol

  • 30 frames is fine but when it drops down to fucking 22, that's when it gets laggy, my GTX 560M will play gta 4 on high-very high on 1080P, around 50 frames but 30 is just barely playable to me,

  • Honestly, I don't think games look like shit on the consoles. Sure they look wayyy better on a PC, but that doesn't automatically make it shit on consoles. Especially since they are six years old

  • dude your on alienware's facebook page.

  • @Pieishman Thats awesome ! Thanks for the heads up.

  • @TrustMacintosh Hey man I would really appreciate if you made a video of the i5 version, i would defo susbscibe if you did

  • Maybe the human eye can only see 30 fps but you gotta keep in mind that explosions and smoke will reduce the FPS,so the higher the FPS the better so when you experience explosions/smoke yo ur FPS wont go down to 20.

  • @K0zAkk you could look into getting a vidock...basically a device that allows you to use a desktop videocard on your laptop...it's a bit pricey ($180 for the vidock 3) but it seems like a pretty good alternative if you dont NEED to run metro 2033 at "omgwtfbbqgigadrillbreaker" graphics >.<

  • i7 2600- 300$

    GTX560- 200$

    Gskill 8gb- 42$

    MB - 90$

    1TB HD- 125$

    Dvd RW- 20$

    Case with PS - 40$

    Total = 817$

and it would blow the Alienware away. I couldn't even find a graphics card that shitty.

  • @lost1403 true, but if you break something, your done for.

  • @MrPom1554 What do you mean? You'd be in the same boat if you bought this alienware. Unless you buy the outrageous warranties they sell at dell.

  • thats a shitty computer

  • it's not totally terrible....buuuuut....I'd still rather build my own.....hell, I have my next rig saved on my wishlist on newegg....it's running these same processor as the x51...except I'm going with a gtx 560 ti...my rig is pricing out around $680 if I remember correctly...just sayin

  • It's kind of ironic that he makes the video but his name is "TrustMacintosh" but other than that. Great vid, I have an aurora and I love it!

  • @termsoffuse haha true. But like both operating systems, both have unique advantages. However windows will always be better at gaming. I use a mac as my main computer and the new alienware will be my brothers. I might get one for my self too for my own games. And the mac for work. So as you can see both operating system are very useful in their own way.

  • @termsoffuse whats ironic about not hating and just loving every other choice out there

  • Megahertz=MHz ;)

  • I duno about that price...that's pushing it.

  • You should be able to put an HD 5770 in there and it tuns BF3 maxed out on 1920 X 1080

  • @TheCrypTiicGaming and get 15fps.

  • @PaGoNdA no more then that watch a video on it

  • a gtx555 can't play bf3 at that res with those settings and get 50 fps...trust me. i have a gtx 560 and it can't even do it solidly at fifty

  • So easy! DONT BUY THIS ALIENWARE OVERPRICED SHIT

  • @v0ldemort1 okay, so you would rather build your own pc with crap materials? It's okay if you don't have 200 - 400$ more for the brand and great quality.

  • For the same price you got an i7 2600k and a GTX 580 ... Don't buy that, it's good but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced u_u

  • I'm getting the best model it has a gtx 555 and runs bf3 at 50 pluss. Is it good? Should I get a better desktop for skyrim?

  • Great review, really makes me want to get one. But the problem is, i bought a $400 laptop not to long ago and i don't want to turn around and spend another $700 for a desktop. But we'll see.

  • can you switch out the processor?

  • Comment removed

  • Im planing to purchase a gaming PC. Is this a good starter PC to play games like Skyrim?

  • @GraysoGaming Yes it is, it should be enough to run skyrim with veryhigh detail if not ultra.

  • i meant to say i3

  • thx alot i was wondering how many cores the 13 had i want the $699 one

  • Comment removed

  • Can you if you want put 2 GT 545 if you want ?

  • @Scrovey No only one card can be installed

  • @TrustMacintosh aren't allo f these gpu's really the same as the laptop gpu's ? Like when you buy a Imac your getting a laptop based gpu, and there is no Gpu called a gtx 555 that isn't a mobile version. So basically these are lower power pc's with desktop parts and a mobile gpu?

  • @bobsparob Everything in the alienware x51 are off the shelf desktop parts they are Not mobile parts.

  • @xxtrustxx a gtx 545 and a 555 or not desktop parts, a gtx 555 is not an actual video card you could buy from a vendor. How ever the gtx 555m is a laptop based gpu and recently a lot of computers have been using desktop parts and a laptop based gpu such as in a imac. To me it looks like alienware joined that bandwagon

  • @bobsparob

You don't know what your talking about. look at any pictures where they open up the case. It shows a full desktop card inside. Mobile GPUs are square and flat and have no shrouds. The GTX 555 is an OEM only card that they're producing just for this system as partners with alienware, thats why you can't buy it through vendors.

  • @abusedbunny Oh I didn't watch the video thanks for the information.

  • @bobsparob You really should have done your research first, the cards in the x51 are not mobile at all, they are full size desktop cards. Darn man, have'nt you seen any of the cnet or alienware video reviews and interviews on here?

  • @bobsparob Everything in the alienware x51 are desktop parts. To my knowledge there are no mobile parts.

  • @Scrovey YES, it comes with two stock!!

  • Can you run dual 23" Optx monitors off the highest highest upgraded x51

  • @ChriiisAllen its too early to tell but i know that theres a company that will allow you to split one video card into two different monitors at the cost of resolution. But again that would depend on the performance of the card and the highest alienware might be strong but we dont know for sure how "strong" it actually is.

  • @TrustMacintosh Yeah i don't know to much on the whole dual monitor setup. i know on the mac mini you can run two apple 27" cinema displays and im expect the x51 to be more powerful that the mm and i also didnt know if you have to have two graphics cards or if you can have just one to do double screens. Im just trying to figure out the best thing to spend my money on i have 3k and i was expect to buy the x51 plus three screens and use one for my xbox what would u do if you had 3k? thanks btw

  • How would one of these maxed out (the i7 one) with a plausible 560 Ti run Skyrim or Gta 4?

  • @MrSonatafragger My brother has skyrim and we should be getting our alienware delivered on feb 9. And when i do my review I'll make sure and max out skyrim so you can see the performance for yourself.

  • @MrSonatafragger you can max out both skyrim and gta 4 with the 560ti quite easily, you can expect 50-60 fps on ultra and with a resolution of 1080p

  • Subscribed !!!, is this computer out for everyone ????
