I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

I am a hearing person learning ASL. Unfortunately, I have had hearing teachers that have been teaching more PSE than ASL. Your vlogs are helping me a lot. Thanks!
Hi moxeygirl430. "PSE" is an ugly word if you really understand it in English. "CASE" is a nice word. Your teacher can use CASE to make your brain ready for ASL. Don't criticize your teacher. Bill
I just now saw your reply. There is nothing ugly about PSE. It means Pidgin Signed English, which is a bridge between ASL and English. I wasn't criticizing my teacher, but when I'm trying to learn ASL structure, PSE is of little use to me. I can't advance or improve if I don't have exposure to ASL structure in the classroom. I hope that clarifies my comment. Mox
Thanks so much, I am taking ASL 2 and it helps a lot to watch you. Of course most of your videos are way beyond my understanding but I can get some things here and there. Cool vlog!
@hananfayad ha ha you are JUST now replying. Too funny! I have been learning ASL for over 3 years now. When I left that last comment, I was just starting out. :-) Time flies...

Thanks for the lesson! I'm taking an ASL class at my library. I'm good with the signs but the grammar is killing me. This helped a lot! :)

Thanks for the lesson! My brother is Deaf, and I grew up with Signed English, so I'm trying my best to learn ASL. =)
