The third mistake is "ushq kia hain nalay kai hay ". The word is ashk or tears and not "ushq" whatever that means. Strictly speaking it is not a mistake of translation. The rest of the translation seems ok to me, in fact it is proverbial rather than literal which shows the good quality of the Guru's translation efforts .

Once again jaltay does not translate into "grows". It refers to the ancient medical practice of curing scars "dagh" by burning them. The act of burning therefore is the cure and not the disease itself.

One of my favorite songs . Regarding the Guru's translation of the lyrics the only mistakes I could find were :

how do the wounds spread.

"Spread" is the wrong translation of the word phaltay. By phaltay ( and not "phailtay" ) the poet is referring to the healing of wounds. The correct translation therefore is "how wounds heal".
