The whole reason Tenryu split from AJPW was he believed they couldn't continue to draw without incorporating more sports entertainment style angles, which NJPW had started to do, and without co-promoting, such as NJPW with UWF which drew massive houses. After leaving, Baba said Tenyru was banished from AJPW forever. SWS, his company, had a good working relationship with the WWF, and often traded talent for tours and so on.
