  • THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS. I am working on an update. I shot it three times and went over the 10 min. mark each time. I will get it right one of these days. It will be very different -- in terms of gear -- from the last one. Stay tuned!

  • F5!!!

  • whatsinmycamerabag . com HEY PEOPLE CHECK THIS NEW WEBSITE ESPECIALLY FOR WHATS IN MY CAMERA BAG VIDEOS, START UPLOADING THEM SO EVERYONE KNOWS WHERE TO LOOK, SPREAD THE WORD

  • I have a Canon Rebel XS, with the standard 18-55mm kit lens. What kind of bag would you recommend?

  • i will got this bag too !!

  • I know. I am selling the 28, 85, 24-120 and 70-300 for the 80-200 2.8.

  • @feistybastard where are you selling them?

  • that's every prime lens in the line up from that generation, hahaha, my goodness

  • Don't know about everyone else, but I have my eye on the new Nikon 28-300 VR (non-DX). Got great reviews. Would likely get rid of my old 24-120, 28 and 35mm lenses. Keep my 50mm and 85mm. Also need to get a serious 70-200. Big bucks. Anyone have the 28-300 VR? What do you think?

  • You have all the gear I have and the gear I want to have D:

  • um .. um.. um .. lol XD

  • Yes it's a laptop compartment that I use to store lens filters!

  • Because they have several lenses and when not in use I take off my lenses until I decide which lens will be used based on the application.

  • is there a specific reason why a lot of people carry their cameras in their bag without a lens on it?

  • @crazykar3 Not too sure. If you change lenses then I suppose you keep your lenses stored away until you decide which one you're going to use depending on the application. I don't like to leave lenses attached to my camera body. Feel like the lenses are safer put away rather than being on the body when not in use or in transport. Can tell you how many times I've banged my lens on a door or wall or car door when attached.

  • this is the best "inside my camera bag ever," !!!!!!!

  • @24hyatt STOP IT!

  • Is that a laptop compartment?

  • can u update

  • amen to nikon! great gear i just got my first dslr camera nikon d5000 trying to learn photography any tips on a begginer like me boss any lenses upgreade for better photos thanks

  • I only shoot film for the reasons you stated.

  • are you in a bathroom it sounded like someone flushed a toilet???

  • hey man this is a reallly late comment but i think im getting a nikon d60 for my birthday in less than a month. what lenses would u recomend. i will mainly be doing sports photography. If u could PM me that would be GREEEEAT!! thanks

  • @Golfkid8895 If you need telephoto lens, buy Sigma 120-400 f4-5.6, I have that one my D60, and god thats nice piece of glass. I've used it in wildlife and it works very well

  • hello love your video, on the micro 105mm can you tell me the minimum focusing distance with this lens, thanks heaps.

  • can you do a review on the 105mm? thanks

  • great stuff you got there.

  • 904SF

    get a d90 or a canon

Canon EOS Rebel T1i these to are awesome trust me

  • i want that f5!!!!!!

  • Awesome to see other people still shooting film out there =)

  • what would camera for a begginer and what lenses. oh i like to take nature, wildlife, landscaping, bugs sports. so plaease help.

  • Nice video except for someone going to the bathroom in the background

  • I've got the Nikon D60 with a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 and I use my telescope adapter to act as an adapter for my old film camera lenses. Fujinon 55mm 2.2 and two Carl Zeiss ones and a Zenit E lens. What do you think about doing this? The images are really sharp and great in day light but I have to stay close to my subject.

  • I have a question for you or anyone else for that matter that uses primes on a regular basis. Do you find you carry all your primes everywhere so you are sure to have the right lens no matter what or do you just carry a couple and move around more? Also, do every wish you used a more all purpose zoom, or is the increase in image quality worth it to you?

  • Always nice to see another film fan. Also it warms my heart to know you're a prime fan as well. :) gotta love the IQ and aperture speed on those babies.

  • can u recommend few prime lens for d300s? ty

  • 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4 ("The Cream Machine"), 35mm 1.4.

  • hey, how was the bokeh performance of the older 105mm af-d macro. . . I was thinking of getting it. Would u recommend the newer VR version over the older?

  • @Stieglitzwouldloveit The old one was really great, but the newer one, I think, is MUCH better. Focusing can be a little slow at times in that it seems to get "confused", but I LOVE the lens. Great bokeh, bouquet, whatever...

    New one is larger, too.

  • great vid!!!!

  • Check out my camera bag video, and check out my flickr please! Im 15 and any advice or suggestions are are welcomed!

  • i'm like you i love wide aperture (old) primes! :D

  • F5? not F4?

  • Very very nice mate, ty for taking time to make this, wtg

  • hi, i got a sony alpha 200 on summer.. I am starting to work on a teen magazine at my town. I need some good and cheap lenses for sport photography and other party activity .. Please give me some info on what should i buy

  • why are you posting a comment about sony? this is a nikon guy, idk if he would even know

  • @pakuplue Yeah, I don't know much about Sony camera products. When I think of Sony I think of TVs and stereos, not cameras. But a couple of their digitals got decent reviews. I live and breath Nikon.

  • im a sony user and so i can try to help. if your doing sport i would suggest a sony 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 which retails around £500 and is the best amatuer telephoto on the market. alternatively you can get a minolta 70-210 "beercan" f4 lens which is 90mm shorter in FL but makes up for being a constant f4 aperture.

  • @graffsax one thing I would like to say is that Sport photography is expensive , if you decide to buy cheap len , you would NOT be albe to take decent picture due to slow of focus speed....

you should be looking for lens which focus quick! , ideally 70-200mm or 300mm or even 600 mm if you sit far away,

also big apparture would help for indoor sport (basketball , for example) 70-200mm F2.8 IS might be your choice.

    Google it !!!

P.S. buy a faster camera ! Sony 200 is not fast enought

  • ur awesome man... i recently switched to just using primes.. and boi ur philosophy is right on... these "limitations" i have force me and my assistants to zoom with our feet. u really learn more that way and improve better as a photographer...

kudos all the way. . .

  • @Stieglitzwouldloveit Seriously. Is it that hard to take a few steps in or out? Sometimes you even get a new perspective or ideas when you actually MOVE around. I think you really need to walk around and study a subject before you decide where you're going to shoot from. Light being the biggest factor.

  • wow... jealous

  • I have a Nikon d60. After I graduate high school and learn all the fundamentals of Photography, what would be the best camera to upgrade to?

  • You don't really need to upgrade. Just keep taking photos. Always invest in glass first. Lenses make the pictures, not so much the camera body. I went from an Olympus OM-1 for many, many years before I got a Nikon F5. Then I've had a D200, D300 and now a D700. Check out the D90 -- it's a fine camera.

  • I've got the D80 now, and been shooting with it for 2 years. I am considering stepping up to the D700. How was moving to FX? What is the biggest changes? Are you pleased with the D700? And what kind of pictures do you take?

  • @Injato Ugh! I liked my D200, but gosh did I hate the 1.5X compensation. It drove me insane. Every freaking lens was a tele until you put a 35mm or smaller on there. I LOVE the D700. And I love looking at 50mm again instead of 75mm! For the past 2 years I have been shooting my new twin boys...a lot.

  • @feistybastard I have the d90, sweet camera. And like you said, doesn't matter what camera it is, it's the lense that makes the picture.

  • @904SF i agree with feistybastard, but now that the d7000 is out, it is a much better camera than the d90.

  • Thanks for all the positive feedback!!!

  • sweet video man! I noticed that we almost have the same gear ! ha

  • what is the thing that his flash has on the side?

  • Terrific video and quite a nice bag of gear! Looks quite similar to mine. I've got a D300 and an F3 body in mine.

  • ive noticed that my sony a300 is just a big as canon and nikons pro models

  • O_O

    No it's not...

  • ok so its not as big but its bg enough

  • lololol xD

  • seeing the first thing being a film camera, :) made me smile

  • the d300 can jack up its ISO high enough that you dont need 1.4 unless you at going for out of focus backgrounds. the 18-200 really is the best lens for any DX format camera.

  • This is true. But with each lens (aside from the zoom) I wanted to be sure they would work well enough on my F5.

  • i could hardly agree more with the 105mm, I love mine. It is rarely away from the D300.

  • primes lenses are the best! i have a couple though :))

  • Comment removed

  • about $250-300 depending upon where you buy it.

  • @timmyguy13

Not sure, but it's not much money. It's also not the greatest prime 28mm. It don't use it much and will probably dump it soon.

  • great set of equipment

  • wow, i only use the D90 with MB-D80. i also have that zoom lens 18-200. uhm, me and my dad were wondering with the SB-800 speedlight. what`s the use of the extra battery on the side? i use the SB-600. anyway, great gear. love it.

  • if you go from 4 batterys to 5 batterys you get 25% more battery life.

  • The reason for the extra battery on the side, is for extra speed. The flash recharges much faster with the extra battery-pack.

  • @Rdel4 Extra battery = faster refresh time. Longer life.

  • this is VISH!!!!!!

  • OMG I want the F5 SOOOOO BAD!!! nice gear!

  • film SLR's for life!!

  • @kfs32193 Nooot

If you want to make movies buy a Film-Cam.

VSSLRS don't have something to do with real Photography !

    It sucks!!! :S

  • @YannickSkates

dude he meant film SLR's ya know old school film not video DSLR's ;)

  • @kfs32193 What the difference bewteen film and digital, i've read a lot of explanations but never really understood them.....ANyone, thx.

  • @MedicAlv1 film is like mymother in law and digital is like my girlfriend i love digital cuz it is a lot easy to carry out

i do not hate film but it is too old, film is take the picture with a film camera pull out the film (negative) take it to costo to get it develop and print....digital is to stick an SD card 1 mega etc take picture put it on your computer work a little with photoshop and have a nice virtual session on your computer (u can print out if you do)

    i keep my digital girlfriend

  • it was such a great pleasure listening to you, VERY good video, I am amazed how much gear can this bag hold, again as p3st1337 said, good philosophy. Keep on the good work! All the best in the upcoming new year

  • @m00nrage Bag weighs too much with all the gear inside. Thanks

  • I like your philosophy. And your lenses.

    But mainly, your philosophy.

  • @p3st1337 Word.

  • Awesome!!! Great to see Film again... i have an F5 too and theres just something about it that never can get old...

  • @Stieglitzwouldloveit Love the F5. Love film. It's hard to work with in terms of processing, but it's great. I was listening to a top Rolling Stone photographer speak the other day and said that he HATES digital, and LOVES film. Film hasn't died. Even the pros still use it.

  • great video.

  • very nice kit, just curious as why you chose the the 35mm f2 and the 28mm f2.8, instead of maybe the 24mm or 20mm

  • Could have been a combo of reviews on those lenses and the fact that 28 and 35 are sorta like "standard" focal lengths...

  • Excellent!

  • Thanks for the review. Helped me decide on this bag. I couldn't decide. needed something that would handle my canon 1D and notebook. A little bigger than I'd like but I guess you can't have everything.

  • @quackenheimer1 Love my bag, but would probably do better with one of those backpack jobbies. I think they can store more equipment more efficiently. This bag I have lenses stacked on top of each other, so it's a little cumbersome.
