Why not put the tent on the ground?

If it's in the truck, you cant just go for a drive you have to pack up.
AND...
If it's in the truck, all your stuff is on the ground.
BETTER...
Tent on the ground and lockable storage on the truck.

@AMilitantAgnostic Some people have back issues but still can't dream of a life without camping. sleeping on an even, some-what level surface allows that. i have one and its perfect. anything needing to be locked up can be stored in the cab or in the tent with us.
