To get a sound measurement of size wouldn't one need to know the distance from tether to object ? I mean what if the objects were 100 miles from the tether vs 20 miles from the tether . The 20 mile figure would give you a larger perception of objects size versus the 100 mile figure. The closer the objects are to the tether the bigger they would appear to be.

Ok let me play the negative position here. Couldn't the camera wells cause the reflective light to shape reflections of light with a hole in the middle for a doenut appearance looking spacecraft. The camera must receive light and also reflect it back for an image to be formulated! Couldn't this give the perception of UFO s with the hole in the middle? @stylezmusic Have you ever used a camera before? Bright lights against a dark background cause GLARE. Those are small objects that only look big because of their bright light shining into the camera lens. The "materialization and dematerialization" is because the objects are rotating in space, so the light is only reflected back to the camera some of the time. None of these dots maneuver, they all keep their same trajectory. They don't bump into each other because SPACE IS THREE DIMENSIONS.

It's just like the halo you see around street lights through your car windshield. Film it with a different camera lens, you'll get a slightly different shape but still identical from dot to dot. They "pulse" because they are rotating in space. some angles reflect more light. There is UFO evidence out there. This is not it.

I don't see any attraction toward the tether, do you? They just drift along straight lines, not circulating as the narrator claims. Look and you see. Some of the particles seem to home closer and others drift farther away, very natural when they go in all directions. Only when the image is zoomed, of course they seem all to come closer. If these were UFOs, which usually are round saucer-like objects, then why do we see every single of them from top?

There are good UFO cases, this is not 1.

I work with cameras and graphics and have been unable to replicate the effect of dust particles moving BEHIND a target object. Since you're clearly an expert, could you explain the optics involved so we may all be edified and move on?

This debris is small dust particles that come from inside the shuttle payload bay or other sources. These are actually seen in many Nasa footages. Even if they were the size of small rocks, they wouldn't do much harm to the shuttle, because they essentially move with the same speed as the shuttle.

Your "Tether experiment" reply explained nothing. NASA takes extreme measures to keep human contamination (i.e. hair, skin follicles) and DUST from any equipment used in a space mission. Contaminated equipment is no good to NASA, so sending up a dusty spaceship is HIGHLY UNLIKELY!

@uoldphuk There are thousands of satellites orbiting the earth. Sometimes satellites fail and no one goes up there to clean them up so they break up through impacts with other space debris. Almost all of the hundreds of missions different nations have sent into space use multi-stage irrecoverable parts, adding to the debris. The Earth's orbit naturally catches small (sometimes large) detritus from space. All of this falling around the earth collides and leads to thousands of bits of junk.

@uoldphuk Flying space missions in all this junk IS dangerous. It's a serious problem, and raises concerns for future missions. Look it up. The debris seems to be "pulsating" because they are likely rotating in space so that different angles reflect different amounts of light. The cameraman in constantly focusing the camera as well (watch the full footage, not just selected clips) causing more or less glare on the lens from the light the objects are reflecting.

"2-3 nautical miles" is ludicrous, they are much smaller than that, the glare from the light just makes the halos look that big relative to the tether in the lens. The "materialization and dematerialization" is a symptom of the same effect. As the object rotates in and out of the light source its glare appears or disappears. A "change in speed or direction" could be caused by the angle of the camera relative the the object's orbit.

These objects are captured on different film with different lenses on many occasions, not just NASA mission coverage. Look carefully, the pulsating is energy emmitting from the center, out. It's easy for the mundane to get overlooked. It's beyond our understanding. This piece of information has never been recreated by dubunkers.
