  • Early Chicago was so excellent.

  • If only they would manage to play and sing *in tune.* Ugh. Ruins it for me.

  • The best ever!

  • "Don't worry, it's not loaded."

  • Terry did sing the song originally. I think of him every time I hear it.

  • I LOVE CHICAGO!!!! VERY CLASSY GROUP!!!! THANK YOU CHICAGO!!!!

  • colour my world i remember listening to this song when i was young and thought what the perfect wedding song well im finally marring the man of my dreams what a perfect song for our first dance together as husband and wife ,

  • Portugal presente! CHICAGO! AMO e relembro este grupo da minha juventude, com grande nostalgia, saudade e respeito. :)

Portugal gift! CHICAGO! LOVE this group and reminisce of my youth with great nostalgia, longing and respect. :)

  • Très belle chanson qui me rappelle mon adolescence avec ses bellles rêreries!!!

  • i reallly like this song so much even when i was high school ..it is a fascination and an inspiration ..........its so lovely music especially when robert lamm is the one singing this song .................

  • colorea mi mundo uno de los mejores temas de chicago que me gustaba oir en aquellos tiempos cuandoera niño

  • Terry Kath, a great guitarist, originally sang this song!

  • Robert is the only one that could sing this other then Terry. But the song was made for Terry. I heard Terry sing this live, and it was one of the most beautiful songs. Sent chills down my spine. Terry was one of the best! He will be missed...

  • Big, big song. I think Robert and Walt had in their hearts and minds Terry's spirit. Amazing..................

  • it colours my world,,,love it!

  • Awsome, memories, oh those memories coming back to my soul. I love you!

  • I can play this song on the piano and I love it!

  • @savannahgirl1231 i'd love to learn to play this and Saturday In The Park on piano

  • Takes me back to a simpler most beautiful time. Classic. Pretty. Poignant.

  • I just saw these guys perform in Chicago like 5 hours ago and it was unlike any show I've ever seen in my life. You have to see these guys live to know what they're about. Man it was so sensational, played from the heart and so meaningful. It touched my heart. This has changed my life. They know what they're doing and my god its just beautiful

  • we need more song like this in our world.. :))

  • Who is this on the lead vocals? I'm confused.

  • Yeeeey My First Dance Nice Memories

  • Robert Lamb sings this soooo much better!!!!!!!!

  • I usually love the flute solo in this song but it just didn't sound nearly as good as usual this time (...)

  • what a classic!

  • so lame the people in the audience hugging was so lame =/

  • i love MAJOR 7 CHORDS!

  • 1970 song.........the time when everyday for me seemed it was Christmas day......( :

  • just a beautiful song lyrics and music!! brings back good memories, too!

  • Right on MrSmokeydog <3

  • Basically if you look at the 2 american bands named after cities Chicago and Boston and examine there body of work

and untimely deaths with members it is

almost a sad proclamation of what was

once greatness is now a bygone time even though various incarnations of the

bands try to carry on. It can never match

some of the greatest music ever created

in This Formerly Great Country of ours.

  • My favorite Chicago song ..

  • Amazing song. Pankow wrote it. Bobby sings it. I think it was written for Terry to sing. RIP Terry. It's a really short song but it made so much of an impression on generations of people. What a great gift. We will always enjoy it. It's a timeless song. Old or new Chicago, it doesn't matter.

  • That flute player was so sharp! I can't believe how many flute players I hear that don't know the head joint is NOT pushed all the way in!

  • Walt knows his shit. I guess if you play that song thousands of times over a 20 or 30 year period, eventually you'll play the lead flat or sharp. I'm not a flute player but I know flute players...It's not gonna be perfect every time. Hopefully you'll cut Walt a break this once. :)

  • Yeh, I can definitely agree with you. I am a flute player and I know if you can't hear yourself well, it is easy to play on the sharp side.

  • This was my aunt and uncles song at there wedding. My uncle just recently passed away and I want to learn this song for my aunt, she used to know this song on her flute--I play the flute/picclo---and I'm in love with song just as much as they loved it together. It makes me cry, everytime she thinks of him she cries.

    It was true love

  • I think everyone who was married in the 70's had this song in their wedding. Look at the audience reaction ...lol

  • Definitely the most beautiful song ever!

  • This is "our" song. My husband and I dated and fell in love in the early 70's and had this song in our wedding. We dance to it every single time that we hear it.

    Wonderful group, wonderful song.

  • Aww, that so sweet! *grins at you* ;-)

  • beautiful...

  • wonderful

  • the beginning of this song just strikes my heart, great song, ultimate love song which is short, but sweet!

  • I think Terry would want Robert to be the one to sing this song...and for the band to continue singing it. They were all best friends. Know it must tear at the heart for him to sing it but they also know Terry is smiling and holding a place for them in HIS heart, too.

  • I agree. Robert is able to sing the song very much like Terry. Bill is a great singer but always did too much. I´ve read that he never liked the song in the first place. Go Robert, you do this song in a perfect way!!

  • I Can't stop watching this video! It seriously feels like your there with him and he's singing this song.....to you...!!

    Classy!!!

  • Lamm is so cooooollll singing this song. Love his style, can't hear enough of this song and enjoy WATCHING him sing...

  • Tell me about it!!! I had to put it on my playlist...so I can come back for more when I want!!!...NOW THAT IS FUNNY!

  • I Like the way he's singing this. It feels as though your there with him.

I think I've developing a crush on Robert!!

  • I wonder where my high school boyfriend is now, this was OUR song. Fond memories!!! It was a beautiful time.....

  • Beautiful song..I danced to this at my High School prom many years ago.

  • Robert Lamm's voice is incredible..He is so very talented...Love him

  • Tris Imboden is a good drummer. I like what he brings to Chicago.

  • SWEET

  • Robert Lamm is incredible...hot,hot,hot..Love him...

  • As a 40 year fan, it's funny to me, but RL may be the least appreciated vocalist in their history. Great vocal.

  • Good Goddess I love Robert Lamm. What a great voice and even better (and that's saying a LOT) songwriter. Yes, I know he didn't write this one, I'm referring to his other songs...

  • Was 15 when I first heard this song. For my money, Chicago is THE most versatile band ever.

  • Also, notice around 1:04, Lamm looks upward as if to say, "this is for you old buddy."

  • Sounds like the way Kath would have sang it if he was still here. Lamm did it greatly.

  • Jimmy Pankow's brother John used to play Paul Reiser's cousin on Mad About You.

  • For the most part since the death of Terry Kath in 1978, Robert Lamm has done this song in dedication to his friend and bandmate.

  • the singer is Robert Lamm

  • chicago =O

  • Very good rendition! Who's the singer?

  • not a bad rendition at all .. almost seems like a tribute to Terry Kath in a way.. thanks practicevids for the entry.
