  • I like this version better as a guy who has a tough time with the loading action of a regular side kick. I also stand straight forward, too.

  • dropped ur leg without a withdrawal when u kicked the bag. not trying to be a jerk, i would want ppl to point out my mistakes too so i can improve on them.

  • I love the specifics of your videos man.I am definitely subbing you

  • Holy crap! ouch!!

  • hmm... this is'nt a variation.

its the correct way of doing a side kick.

the turning of the hips makes it extremely powerful.

  • i want to thank you for this tutorial kyryllo.

my side kicks weren't powerfull at all,

last week i kicked someone on a competition and broke his rib.

  • This is a great kick. I think it's a more advanced kick than the regular side kick. Once you're good with the regular side kick and all the steps involved, you'll have a feeling for the power generation. Then you can take out the loading phase and do the screwdriver side kick for more speed and less telegraphing.

  • oh! man thanks!!!!! you help me a lot

  • great tutorial

  • lol this is how i learned my sidekick i find it more fast and efficient

  • Thx for all your videos, you really helped me :-)

  • The 1st kick is the variant. It is the original side push kick variant b4 the cut kick which doesn't rotate the hip. The second is the traditional version that is just a powerful if not more. I the 1st version has more pushing power, but the second give more penetration into the target and was originally called a side piercing kick. I does require more distance to deliver properly vs the side push kick, but it is much better for breaking ribs or boards and internal trauma. .

  • Thanks I needed more kicks like this added into my arsenal...

  • Your tutorials are very helpful. Thanks for making some very useful videos!

  • Thank you for your valuable work. It helps me a lot.

  • You can tell this is a kick you do and not the other side kick because this one is polished and isn't telegraphed like the other one.

  • Cheers...

  • man this is great, just what I needed to know. Keep it up man!

  • very good

    5*

  • Dude I must say you give the best kicking tutorials, and it's all for free :). Thank You

  • YEAH!! Really good

  • Great kick!

  • cool 5 stars one question though with this version do you kick with the heel or side of the foot?

  • heel

  • Best case would be heel.

  • i always use my heel for side kicks

  • @AskHandsomeThomas funny i just asked my instructor this question today side/blade of the foot is like when your holding your leg out or for forms cause it looks better and the flat part/(heel) is for contact
