Im somewhat related to sylvia "meg". Her mother married my uncle. Its a sad subject and isnt brought up very often. Suprisingly, one of my exgirlfriends grandmother was one of the girls who beat her and burnt her with cigerettes.

I researched the story.. Sylvia Likens was tortured by her babysitter.. Gertrude's children brought their friends over to burn, hit and beat Sylvia. But they never raped her but they did everything a monster would. I was really upset when I read the story but then I watched "An American Crime" with ellen Paige which is more accurate to what really happened.

Halfway through this I thought to my self "should I be watching this?" I was so sad and depressed after watching this. It's a good film but I dont think I'm going to watch this again... good review. 5/5
