私はポーランド人です. ウジ国際大学に日本語を勉強します I'm looking for a Japanese people who wants to learn some english or polish. I Would like to meet some penfirends too ;) Piszcie :)
I would say that "witaj" would be more appropriate than "cześć". For underage people addressing their peers, close friends or some family members that would be ok but you can't say that to strangers.
And "witaj" is far more easy to pronounce: veet-ai. And it sounds very natural when spoken by foreigners.
On the other hand it is just cruel to even try to make the non-slavic foreigner say "cześć". It is painful to hear someone addressing you "cieć" afterwards;)
More similar are Polish, Czech and Slovak. Russia had too many nations in their country, and had many contacts with Sweden (learn about viking rus) and fins. Slavs came to Russia in XI cent.
I CAN KURWA FLAJ

In Czech czesc means 'honour' and do widzenia means 'until seeing' - same like in Slovak
xgalba00 3 years ago
Slovak is a little different it's česť and slovak doesn't have the letter w
rhenne 3 years ago
Anytime you would use the letter "V" in Polish - use the letter "W". They sound exactly the same. ;)

what does dzien dobri mean then i was thinking it means hello..
zigodino 3 years ago
dzien dobry is the formal way of saying hello, you'd say that to someone you'd never met before.
Czssc is like "hey", you'd say this to your friends or family

English and Spanish have many similarities. That's why it's so easy for English speakers to learn Spanish and vice versa.
nephrenmalinari 3 years ago
Maybe some words, but actually, Polish and Russian share very few similarities - which is weird due to the history of both nations.

I'm ok with do widzenia, but when she said czesc, I was getting scared :S
The 'z' in it creeps me out.
deenotheman2 3 years ago
just think of it like the "cz" in "Czech republic". That's a "ch" sound and so is this.
TheZefMan 3 years ago
OH, Polish isn't that hard now ^^
deenotheman2 3 years ago
Polish "CZ" = English "CH" = German "TSCH" = Slavic (Czech, Slovak, Croatian, etc.) "Č". ;)
