I would like to see an athletic guy doing some sprinting in that trike (just to compare) I think the difference shouldn't be as dramatic? in this video this guy is obviously just touring while the other guys are sprinting (compare the rpms)

I wouldn't say pasted, since the Expedition is not meant to be a high performance trike. If anything it shows the roadies as dorks passing a touring trike. It's like passing a Mini-Van on the highway by a person on a sports car and the person in the sports car showing off about it.

Yea, they passed him alright but nine times out of ten they have have given it their all and you will catch up and pass them.
Recently I was passed on a slight up hill by two carbon fiber riding road bikers while riding my pannier laden, 60 lb tandem solo.
We got onto the flats and I drafted off of them for a mile or so before I left them in the distance.
An Expedition is in my future.
