@Gman992 yea, Mondale won only just Washington DC and his home state(just barely though). Ronald Reagan has been the closest to ever winning a 50 state sweep.

I believe this was the election in wich Reagan and his VP, Bush Sr., won the most votes of any candidates in American history.
