I'm guessing the head unit is stock in the car? I was thinking of getting a different head unit for my srt8, would I have to take out everything in between the two air vents at 1:43? If so, would the proceeding head unit have to be of exact size or could it be smaller?

I have GPS, so replacing the unit is not a viable option. For music I bypass the head unit completely with my iPod wired directly to JL Cleansweep and then to amps.

@Beastlee69 My iPod jack runs under the center console to RCA cables that plug into a JL Audio cleansweep next to the amps. Volume control and ability to switch back to input from the stereo head unit is a knob under the steering column.
