  • Didn't know the 700 was still running! I was about to say I hope that was a pretty long train having 700 and 4449, plus the extra Amtrak unit lol

  • @WorldOfNothin

The Amtrak unit is required anyways.

  • this is an excellent vid!

  • Glad you and others like it. I REALLY had to beg my boss to come into work late that day to get this unique show of power and rolling stock. As you probably know, sometime train schedules (here in the US) can vary widely and this was no exception. The departure may have been on time, but the time it took to reach me from the station was a little longer than I thought. So I was on the phone a few times with my supervisor begging for just another 15 minutes....about 4 times :)

  • Power(SP&S 700) and strength(SP 4449) at the same time? It just gets better and better!!!

  • Gotta love that K5LA horn on the Amtrak Empire Builder Units.

  • very nice smooth panning & zooming in & out..BRAVO!!

  • I don't know if they have more than 1 train like that, but I saw cars like that on the San Diego to Los Angeles route years ago once.

  • No baggage car on the Empire Builder?????????

  • It's the Portland section of the Builder, don't think I've ever seen a baggage car on it. They normally have a baggage section thing on the superliner coach though.

  • The bags for PDX go in the coach baggage, and SEA go in the baggage car where they split in Spokane.

  • Nice video!

  • Cool vid. I got a shots of the 700+4449 double-header at Union Station, Vancouver, and Washougal. What a sight!

  • Nice
