Why is Monckton wasting time challenging a non-scientist to a debate on a scientific issue? If he really has a case against global warming, he should publish it in a peer-reviewed journal. Except for the fact that he never could make it through peer-review, because anyone who takes time to learn a bit about Monckton's claims realizes that he deals in misinformation, mis-quotes and flashy phrasing--not honest inquiry.

@tootoo012 I'm not saying Al Gore is perfect, but it is fair to bear in mind that he won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on environmentalism. Nobel prizes are not given to liers or frauds.

Many responses to Monckton's mixture of misrepresentation and bare faced lies have been published. I could give links to various places where his claims are shown to be unreliable and at times seriously false if you wish to see. Guys like this are worth investigating, because this is a v important issue.

Some say 3 Dgr. in a hundred years some 5 Dgr, some even more, but they all agree: it is getting warmer.

The growing season has not been prolonged, polar bears, manatees, eagles & penguins are increasing their numbers. The climate IS IN flux within expected perimeters, as is normal.

Some scientific facts to consider.

1.Average global temperature always proceeds a rise in CO2 NOT the other way round.

2. CO2 is a NON TOXIC trace gas in the atmosphere making up 0.8% of the 1% of trace gases. Thats 0.08% of the atmosphere. Its ridiculous to say such a small gas can upset the other 99.2%.
