  • the synth sounds amazing. your song at the intro was not too shabby either. do you have any of your music up on soundcloud or anything?

  • @windowlicker1 Hey, thanks! I do: soundcloud(dot)com(slash)recondite

  • @AutomaticGainsay awesome man. keep on rockin!

  • Did this synthesizer come out in 1977?

  • Does this sound like music from the Turbo Grafx-16 or not?

  • @KodyBoy555 Not.

  • Do you still have this big sucker?

  • 5:07 is freakin' genius!!!!!!!

  • I but it barbeques shrimp nicely.

  • *want* o:

  • "Sounds like something in "Star Wars Galaxies,..." "Ewoks, or so what..."

  • what scale/melody are you playing? i was just wondering, because oh you know

    ITS FUCKING AMAZING :D

  • I love the low-fi yet really full sounds!! This thing is sick. I'm also digging the retro vibe that its exterior gives off

  • 1:02 Whip It!

  • @littleempirefilms Well, the production version was released in Europe, but never really made it to the U.S.. This version is a kit version, and is (from what I'm to understand) extremely rare.

  • @AutomaticGainsay How much do these sell for u think

  • 3:03 - What's that, Hawaiian noises?

  • cool synth. what is the song in the start? :)

  • @DerrickBouchard It's a song of mine called "Introduction." : )

  • Effective. Cool demo. Brings back EL&P concert where the "Lucky Man" spot shot right thru you. You could feel your molars vibrate! Vangelis hit the pops with it and got alot of people interested, including me. Thanks.

  • @bindinglines Thank you!

  • the best bass synth I ever heard!

  • 1:00 - good Dubstep wobble!

  • sounds like TRON

  • is that introduction tune you my man? if so (or if not), i would so much love to have that mp3.

  • @tajto92 Message me with your email address and I'll gladly send it to you. Yes, that's me!

  • @AutomaticGainsay can you do the same with me?

  • For a good organ Hawaiian pitch bend: Mr. Fantastic and the Wonderful World of Wurlitzer , last song on video.

How about a Wah pedal on an organ? The Thomas Organ Co. did it on their Californians- 262 and up:

Thomas OrganHarry Wach 'Californian Here I Come' side A

  • Opening tune was be-ah-yootiful. Can I has?

  • @zerosvc2 You can has. Send me a message with your e-mail address, and I'll send it to you. : )

  • why that bitch called jordan rudess dont use this type of machine?Only those korg with fake synth, what a waste of talent

  • that sound is so terrible killer

  • awesome song at the beginning man.

  • Comment removed

  • How much does this thing cost?

  • Basically the opening song rocked my soul.

  • @pinksynth I am very glad that it did. : )

  • @AutomaticGainsay What is the opening song ?

  • @aeroeau It's a song I wrote for a film intro. It has the amazingly creative name of "Introduction." : )

  • @AutomaticGainsay Nice work, like the song ! Haha, could work on the title I guess ?

  • Awesome vid, anyway of getting these sounds on a budget?

  • @7endertelecaster Spectrasonics Trilogy or the newer Trillian might be worth a look.

  • Hey man, you got some cool licks! Do you have a band or something? I play a "bass synthesizer" but it's not really a bass synthesizer, it's...my little secret! LOL Thanks! :)

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The wah-wah is kinda-cool. But over all I'd say it's a mixture between PAIA and Sanford & Son. LOL!! ;)

  • @soundandcircuit Ha ha, I agree!

  • excellent

  • Badass.

  • EVERYONE loves the intro tune! Now, what's the video about............

  • @Zeshly Oh, that... well, it's apparently about some really cool looking kit version of a pretty mediocre stab at synthesis by an organ company. : )

  • when did u aquire this? long time ago and also how much u think its work????

  • @DrumNBum I acquired it in about 2006 or so. I sold it for about $400 in 2007, or so.

  • did you make the music in the begging with the wersi?

  • @thunderheart530 Ha ha, no. The music at the beginning was done with a Minimoog.

  • watch?v=r5OK0MFD70o this is actually a good synth bass..

  • how much that costs?

  • that little thing is nifty!!!

  • Dubstep potential :)

  • nice. bass dude... make me a bassline for reggae music..

  • I love the sounds xD... it could be a super originally sound for a band... well... it IS xD

  • how much one of these go for?

  • The "Hawaii Button" or whatever is called Portamento

  • @ChrisGuerre Actually, technically, it isn't! It merely introduces a half-step gradual pitch change when pressed. Portamento is a function which introduces a delay in voltage changes, specifically between the voltage changes between notes being played. This button merely bends the pitch.

  • the sound waves sound like packman

  • The background music at the beginning sounds reminds me of Eluvium.

  • the stuff from the beginning sounds like something from Icky Thump

  • PLAY A SONG WITH THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want one. for curiosity's sake, what does one of these usually go for?

  • @YnsMbk01 Now when you say "we," who exactly are you talking about? I suspect the amount of my viewers which share your view might be in the minority. Also, I believe you were trying to say "Shut the fuck up."

  • @AutomaticGainsay Shut up. I'm done with you

  • @YnsMbk01 Aww, don't be done with me before you've started! I really had my hopes up for another lambasting. Anyway. YouTube is full of people wanking away on synths. If that's what you want, you simply blundered into the wrong channel. I'm here to teach. (although I do have some videos which feature wankery, just not any for this particular synth)

  • @AutomaticGainsay Lol. Owned. "Shut the fuck?" YnsMbk01 is a twat.

  • @taconip Thank you for your support. : )

  • @AutomaticGainsay

Thanks again for this great video. If i had not seen it, i wouldn't have noticed this great Wersi monster for sale in Holland. I was on the right place @ the right time.

Although my version looks very different. Maybe it's the not-so-special version.

I'm not a real synthesist, just a musician that gets bored of playing guitar only..

But this beast knows how to ROCK!

BTW, that intro song is genius! Keep it up!

  • @skapoosh That means you got the version which was undoubtedly assembled by a professional instead of an amateur! Despite the fact that the aesthetic of this version is VERY cool, yours probably fully works! Thanks about the intro song!

  • you got the mp3 in the begining in the video i want to know if i can do it for my skate video and th end credits?

  • how much do this costs?

  • Not fully functional my ass! That is the phattest synth I've ever heard!

  • Dear god I love this intro. I would bake you cookies forever if you'd post an mp3 of it.

  • @Xsynth e-mail me at analogcompendium (at) gmail (dot) com, and I'll send it to you. Also: my favorite is chocolate chip. : )

  • @AutomaticGainsay hahaha can ya get some ginger biscuits made for me too XD LOL ROFL

  • Hey... Wait a minute.. Arn't you that MOOG® Maniac?!! Yeh.. You really are a good example of todays Synthasist!

  • @therealKINDLE My synthesizer tastes know no brand limitation. Although Wersi isn't my favorite brand. ha ha ha

  • @AutomaticGainsay Why Of course it isn't! I know that you love that Minimoog® for it's classic character, wooden Charm & Drifty 2nd Oscillator!

It's the world's best sounding synth a lot of people would say! Although if you haven't already got one(!), I'd try the Profet 5 or ARP Oddyssey Range. They are MY Favourite! And the Minimoog® whilst being a perfect sound; it also can't disguise how your sound was made which isn't always good. Just like EMS's stuff. But ARP? Oh my! I wish I had one. :(

  • where can i get one of these for under £200

  • @projectno5 2003?

  • @AutomaticGainsay is that what it came out as

im from the uk so i meen where can i get one for under 200 uk pounds

  • @projectno5 Sorry, projectno5, I was sort of jokingly saying that you weren't going to find one for that price unless you went back to that year. They're primarily a European synth, and I don't know how much they go for over there, to be honest. You might be able to get one for £200, but I'm going to guess that they would go for more than that these days. Good luck!

  • @AutomaticGainsay would it be at all possible to purchase your works anywhere?

The start of this video is beautiful really thats the kind of music i'd like to make someday.

  • @barret707 Thank you! E-mail me at analogcompendium at gmail (dot) com, and I'll send the song to you.

  • @AutomaticGainsay i've emailed you there at coburn.neil at gmail (dot) com.

thanks a million i cant wait to hear the full piece.

  • fricking awesome piece of kit

  • My god i can imagine Tobacco uses one of these

  • too much talking, not enough playing

didn't Smitty say, Let the music do the talkin

  • @rorshakks While music very effectively portrays the entire breadth of human emotion and sends us to dizzying heights, and sorrowful depths, it is wholly inadequate in demonstrating, categorizing, and labeling various issues of physical layout, structure, intent, and functionality of synthesizers. : )

  • @AutomaticGainsay I would posit that music (excluding muzak) fails to demonstrate said emotions, heights and depths.

  • Somebody really likes D minor...

  • @mantisman96 Wow... I don't know if I should give you a prize, or condemn you. It's my secret weakness, and no one has ever noticed it before! When I'm noodling, it's always D minor. Let's just keep it under our hats. ha ha ha. : ) Good job, though!

  • @AutomaticGainsay It's OK, for me its C minor.

  • Okaaaaaay...!! lol.

  • i would kill a man for that thing

  • and 16 and 2 foot!

  • Man, this is just fantastic. You have a good voice too. Okkaaaaaaay! ;-)

  • badass

  • What do you mean not fully functional? What is it missing?

  • @smackyjack I sold it a long time ago, I don't remember what was wrong with it! Some of the functionality didn't function correctly is all I remember!

  • That soundtrack in the beginning should be in my datsun stereo post haste.

  • @ewepubes I was thinking the same thing. E-mail me at analogcompendium (at) gmail (dot) com, and I'll send it to you.

  • @AutomaticGainsay I sent you a message. What synth are you using for the soundtrack?

  • @ewepubes can i get it too?

  • holy cow this thing is AMAZING

  • I probably will sell mine (normal AP-6, no Kit version)... hmm should I?

  • Lol isn't there no way to mix sine waves?

  • i want that

  • whats the soundtrack ?

  • @zkagtrendy It's me. It's a song I wrote for film.

  • @AutomaticGainsay fricking amazing.

  • whats the soundtrack? at the start?

  • That 16' sawtooth is probably the deepest one I've ever heard. So good.

  • Do you think it would be possible for you to send me an email with all your intro songs?

  • @GibsonRocks12 send an e-mail naming which videos have intro songs you like to analogcompendium (at) gmail (dot) com, and I'll see what I can do. Thanks for watching, and especially listening!

  • @AutomaticGainsay Um, I am not sure which ones I like because I haven't been interested in some of the other synths so I don't know what ones to get so would it be to much to ask if you sent me all of your intro songs?

  • WANT!

  • not fully functional? can you get it fixed?

  • @MrJTMagnum23 That would be a question for the owner... I sold it a number of years ago!

  • He sounds a bit like Frank Zappa... Hm.

  • @Mandibela I have a nose like Frank Zappa, too.

  • @AutomaticGainsay Awesome! =D

  • That piece at the beginning is truly fantastic. Great Job.

  • @Panthersfan2 Thank you!!

  • greg?

  • does any body knows the song name of the beginning?

  • I do. It was a piece I wrote for a film. It's very sadly entitled "Introduction," by Automatic Gainsay.

  • @AutomaticGainsay

so can we buy the track somewhere? i tried google, no luck though.

  • @missingsayoko send me an email at analogcompendium (at) gmail (dot) com, and I'll just send it to you!

  • That's one of the fattest synths I've ever heard! I WANT IT

  • this video is what got me into synthesizers

  • truly an amazing piece. also if there's anyway you can post that introduction song, i guarantee it would get a ton of listens. excellent retro vibe.

  • Must....have......the......Hawai-effect !

  • You can mix so many waves!!!

    thats so AMAZING!

  • i think this sorta synth would make sum nice ambient music or a radiohead sorta thing.

  • i would of thought you attach the keyboard and the control section the other way round hehe

  • Yep the music at the start is fantastic

  • Great Music @ the beginning, I would love to do a remix !!!

  • Was that a song up until 30 seconds?

whatever it was it was amazing

  • Thank you. It doesn't have an official name, but it's unofficial name is "introduction." I wrote it for a film project.

  • You're a funny guy. I also enjoy your genuine apathy.

  • where can you get one of these?

  • @sugafatha, order one from long and mcquade.

  • Rock

  • Cual es el precio de esta maravilla

  • the vaine in you hand is bugg'n me out

    it's BIG

  • You just can't beat those fat old analog synths, awesome

  • Wow that thing sounds pretty fat. Can i ask for a ballpark price range?

  • I like the song in the intro

  • Okaaay!!!

  • this thing is amazing. is this custom made or was this professionally manufactured at some point?

  • This synthesizer was manufactured in Europe, but this version of the synthesizer was a kit version purportedly to be assembled by the buyer.

  • Can i still get it today, i would love to build one of these. I live in Europe, but i doubt the still sell the kits right?

  • 1:01 nice

  • hey man greetings from México how can I get your music? I've sent you an email two weeks ago but there has been no response I'd really like to hear more of your awesome music heres my email: uematsuff7-at-hotmail-dot-com

  • Wow, what a lovely jingly sound in the beginning.

  • want it.

  • Has anyone found out what that music is at the start of the video? I will add my name to list of people trying to find out... any suggestions please.

  • I know what the music is. : )

If you'd like a copy of the track, e-mail me at museslave1-at-comcast-dot-net.

    Thanks for enjoying it!

  • which the name of the song at the beginning of video?

  • @aldso I would also like to know

  • How much are these? This is awesome :D

  • sounds like those 2d computer games from the 80's

  • Chris from muse uses a roland version of this for hysteria and time is running out
