Beautiful piece Rob! was tryin to see if you had a bit on harmony an this is as close as i got. not sure if i completely understand the theory but i made an attempt to play it : ) ... tricky little guy. wish the screen res. was better so your fingers were in focus.
Oh my god ¡it makes me cry! I'm a little dissapointed about my musical skills... Someday, i will be like you Rob! Blessings from Chile... (and yeah, truely make me cry)
that was flowing! thank you. as for something strange I listened to it while watching Massacre of the Innocents, the painting of Pieter Bruegel. the combination works.
Thought the title could be a Dylan reference as well. A la "Groom's Still Waiting at the Altar." (Though I know that definitely isn't your favourite Dylan era-not mine either for that matter). Either way very nice.
What a terrific punctuation to the lessons. After all, the purpose of music is to stimulate an emotional response. What good are scales and chords if the results don't move us.
very nice. tks. The slides and hammers are beautiful in this song. The notes played above the guitar body are very clear and strong. What kind of guitar is this ? I'm not familiar with the title. Is this your original composition ?
Is "Massacre of the Innocents" about the evil work of King Herod ?
I give this a 5 star - I'm new and messed up trying to rate it (my first rating ever) - please forgive the mistake - It ended up as a 1 instead of the intened 5.
That's alright Larry, I don't care about the stars.
Yes, it was Christmas time and it sounded sad, so I thought of the slaughter by Herod. It was just an exercise actually, and not inspired by the story. People always say, "what a nasty title". It is what it is.
I worked late last night too. I was going to put up this week's chords, but I didn't have the right guitar downstairs. I picked this one up and plucked out this tune and went to bed.

Very pretty, Rob. I love the way you make it look and sound so effortless.

It is effortless. I'm finger-syncing to a recording done by another guitarist. Don't tell anyone.

Beautiful song, Rob. So soothing. Too bad you never made a recording of it.
