Hercules is stronger than Thor - Blood Oath

So Royce Gracie in the original UFCs showed it is possible for a weaker man to defeat a stronger man through the use of superior technique. Hercules had superior technique than Thor. It doesn't mean he is stronger.

Back in 1993, when the UFC first started, a skinny Brazilian by the name of Royce Gracie was the original champion. He was very skinny. No muscle. No strength. He was physically SMALLER and WEAKER than all of his opponents. He defeated everyone because his Jiu-Jitsu techniques relied on LEVERAGE and BALANCE. Hercules defeated Thor with a REAR NAKED CHOKE. With proper technique, a smaller, weaker man can defeat a bigger man with joint locks and CHOKE HOLDS. Hercules definitely has better TECHNIQ

Brute strenght isn't the only thing to be considered. Intelligence, fighting and battling tactics, speed, agility, potential, abilities and capabilitie are at least as ignificant. Just because Hercules is better in hand to hand, doesn't necesarily mean that he is actually tronger than Thor. May be he is, but you get the point.

@HalflingShireFolk Thor wielding Mjolnir is way more powerful than without Mjolnir due to the powers Mjolnir allows Thor to tap into. Thor here is allowed to join the Warrior 3 without Mjolnir. Hercules goes in one on one with Thor and grips him in an unbreakable hold. Hercules does not cheat to perform his hold, while Thor cheats to break it by summoning lightning. What people tend to forget is that Hercules is not 100% sober here, he's a bit drunk yet manages to beat Thor.

What's funny is they both envy and respect eachother's strengths and weaknesses as warriors. While Thor's got him beat in terms of raw power and bull-headed determination, Herc is his better in combat, ESPECIALLY at adaptation

So Thor beat Herc with "HIS" powers over thunder without Mjolnir. Hercules may be physically stronger but none the less Thor beat him and also the hold that Herc did you dont really have to be stronger than the receiver for it to work, just enough for them to not be able to overpower you completely. but Herc is most likely a better hand to hand fighter due to the fact he fights with them most of the time.

No need to illustrate theories about how strong Thor is, what you we see as a comics based fact is what we deal with: Without Mjolnir, Thor only depends on his physical strength and fighting skills, which obviously are not on the same par with those of Hercules, whose grip would have wasted Thor, had not he resorted to his powers and summoned lightning to break free. Loser :P

@shurednichso Hercules has an adamantine mace - shown to be equal to Thor's Mjolnir: Journey Into Mystery Annual #1 and Avengers vol.3, #3. However, there is no detailed illustration of the potential powers this mace can perform compared to those of Mjolnir.

Hulk easily breaks the grip of Hercules and eventually beats the crap out of him on different occasions, you know why? Because Hulk has limitless strength that increases the angrier he gets and the longer the battles and no fighting technique can save Hercules butt. Thor's physical strength is not limitless, and this is why he is owned in this fight.

@Fordan78 Hercules was son of a Thunder God, he once took the titan Atlas place and held up the heavens for a while. Thor is a Thundergod and son of the Deathgod, he once held back time in an arm wrestle, and lifted the midgard serpent at a party in Utgard.Asatru is still a real religion, the real Thor is still worshiped. I dont know if anyone still worships Jupiter and Hercules.

In Thor #400 Thor arm wrestles Hercules to a standstill, and MARVEL states that this arm wrestling could last forever as both of them are equal to each other in raw strength, but Hercules owns Thor in arts of combat.
