  • We interviewed Peter for our movie it is in the video response section. Thanks go to Peter.

  • You're becoming that much of a professional Peter that you'll adjust camera mid-flow for best presentation! Very good!

A Porsche ...wheels? .. ooo ... that'll brighten up some peeps. I think you're following this adapted Animal Farm philosophy:

"Two wheels good, and Four wheels bad"

    Hahaha!

    alla prossima!

    The Dr

(not a Dr of divinity mind)

  • Take advantage of gaps in the traffic...clever little one liner. I might need to use it sometime! :-)

But officer....I was just 'taking advantage of gaps in the traffic you see... :-)

Could be a real space saver. I like it! But, not to worry, as I won't get that kind of get up and go out of my little car.

I just noticed our neighbors little tree has blossoms on it! Spring is a tad early this year! Enjoy yours spring Peter. Great video by the way.

  • this might sound strange but i kind of want to give you a cuddle, you remind me of my grandad.

  • Sometimes you look like Noam Chomsky. :-)

  • Afternoon, hope your week's been going well. :)

  • You bring peace in many lifes! thanks!

    HI BACK!! :D

  • Hey there Peter, hope you have a great week.

  • Have a good week, Peter!

  • Greetings from Japan, Peter!

(Not as far as one might think--my wife is from Southgate!)

  • Hi Peter! Good to see you.

  • You teach me a lot. Thank You, sir!

  • Hi Peter, you can get screen capture software from many places and I often use them for making tutorials on various things from windows basics to advanced sound/graphic editing. They are very handy and would be interested to see what you make if you get a capture program.

  • Hi Peter

    I really like your videos.

    Wishes from sweden

  • i really admire him!

    :-)

  • I enjoy these posts. He is a true gentleman.

  • how disrespectful when an 80 year old man takes time sharing his life on youtube. Think twice before writing such a bad comment.

  • Absolutely right, Akfilm92.

  • I just saw you on VH1's top 40 internet superstars. Cool.

  • Hi :)

I never drove a Porsche but it sounds really cool!

Once I drove a Jaguar - you would love it!

  • Hi Peter! Regarding screen capture. If you have a Mac, you can press the apple symbol key (next to the space bar) along with number 3 key. Again, using the same Apple key and number 4, produces a crosshair with which you can select a portion of the screen you wish to capture. Just my tuppenceworth, but maybe you knew this already! lol. Great video anyway. :)

  • Hi Peter, two of my sons climbed Mt. Kili. Talk about tough! So pleased you went to London. It's great fun and your ride back sounded great. Porche is a beautiful machine, though not the same experience as a bike.

  • Peter, that was a delightful hello. Many thanks.

  • It's great that you take the time to do these videos and what a lovely man you are, what an inspiration you must be to many people out there. I found you looking at a another video, but will be looking forward to more from you. Cheers, Colin.

  • Love your videos, Peter. Been watching them for a while and no matter what day I have, it's always nice to watch one of your videos, if I'm having a bad day, you always manage to cheer me up with your good relaxing voice =) Thank you for making these videos and I hope you manage to get those Kilimanjaro pictures up =D

  • Great to see you still posting videos for us :D I've subscribed since your debut video and still follow your work :)

  • Please don't take this as patronizing as truly mean this as an compliment, but I think you're truly a sweet and charming man. I like nothing better after a long day to come home sit down at my computer and find you've posted new video.

I added you to my subcriptions during that fracas in reaction to your 1st video, and have never regretted it lol

  • I once dated a guy because he had that kind of Porsche. Fun!

    Loved hearing from you, Peter.

  • I love listening to you Peter! Thats quite an accomplishment for your son! Congrats to him! Best Wishes

  • hey can't wait for your next vid take care peter :)

  • Good screen capture software to use would include QuickCam. Google it to find a download link. You should be able to film your screen with it. Let me know what you think.

    Cheers from California

    -911

  • this guy is so awsome

  • Have a great week, Peter.

  • Great video! Surprised me that you are, or at least seem to be, an avid photoshop user. Very nice!

Screen capture software is definitely the way to go, then you can annotate your videos. If you are on a PC, the I suggest trying Camtasia made by Techsmith if I am not mistaken.

  • brill that your doing vids, older people should do it more!! ....not saying ur old....:D

  • Hello there!

I remember you saying that you liked horses, so I thought I'd share with you an old video of the horse that I rescued, Solomon. He's a sweetheart and now he is very healthy and happy. Anyway thought it might be a cheerful thing to see- A horse eating a watermelon, hehe. :)

  • Hello, found you through another link and feel an affinity since you mentioned the long winter indoors.!I'm a married lady with three children

(Now Adults) became physically disabled almost fifteen years ago with two types of Arthritis and Fibromyalgia...a muscle condition.prior to that my life was a busy one.Nice to see that you are getting out and about and enjoying it.Will be on here from time to time...regards Rose

  • I like that you do your videos in one take, you're a very fluent natural speaker not many people can manage it

  • hmm porsh. yeah I do like the power and the handling of that cind of car.

and it great that you got out and got some fresh air,

  • It's good to see you, too, Peter. London is stimulating and exhausting, all at the same time, isn't it?

  • hi :) It's good to see you are well.

  • You shouldn't make excuses for not being interesting, cause you always are ;-).

  • On the Mac download Snapz Pro X by Ambrosia Software. Its FREE for 15 days.

    Well done with the Photoshop.

The Porche may have been a 928 - if it was an old one.

  • could've been a 944 or 968 also.

  • The professional screen capture software, Camtasia, costs upwards of £500, but I discovered an open source basic FREE version made by the developers of Camtasia. It is at camstudio(dot)org

  • agreed. camstudio is really good if you want to go freeware.

  • Much, much better peter in your usual style.

  • always nice to see ya....

  • always a pleasure 2 see you! im glad to hear u get some use from photoshop!! im sure it is wonderful ,,if i could only figure out how to work ANYTHING on it!! i was thinking of taking a course as i seem to be unable to work it out!! hope u get the tutorial right,id love to know how to use anything on it!! keepn well xx

  • Hello Peter!

  • Try the free Auto ScreeRecorder from WisdomSoft, works like a charm :)

  • Hi right back at you...

    God Bless...

    Randall M. Rueff

  • I think the screen capture idea is your best bed peter. I tried it once and it came out quite well.

Not sure how you'd integrate it with your main video but I'm sure with all your knowledge you'll get there. Probably just intro then voiceover the screengrab then back to yourself for a final comment.

Wish I could remember which one I used but as I yet again had to re-install windows the other day I lost it, lol

    Take Care Peter

    Regards

    Paul, Caroline & Family

  • i like it better your way! :)

Your really interesting. i would love to meet you!

  • You are always interesting! Loved it.

  • Have you looked into trying Camtasia for your computer instructional videos?

  • HI! I do like you sitting back - suits you! PLEASE do a vid on curves! That would help so.

  • That was interesting, but then you always are! My husband's friends usually had Porsches, but mostly for racing. My husband preferred Triumph, although his motorcycle was a 1937 Indian. Mary

  • LOL love it.... i dont put myself in the center thats not good composition

  • Thanks, not enough Youtubers care about the composition of their videos :D. Hope to make it out to Kilimanjaro someday myself.

  • hi! :D

sounds really exciting! i'd love to drive in a porsche one day, i bet it's different than in a normal car. although i wouldn't know, haha ^^

  • Tanzania is great!

  • glad you're doin well peter, lookin foward to hearing from u soo.

  • Love it i love hearing and seeing Pete! nice holiday u had. In your last vid u said youll be playing with The Zimmers, you want to know what would be interesting? if you show us pictures of yourself in your salad days, past decades, that'll be neat ;) good vid and good luck with photoshop!

  • Hi!

Glad to know you had a good time in London and were driven home in a Porsche!

    Best wishes

  • hi :)

  • Thoroughly enjoyed the chat Peter! I have a little BMW roadster that's' a joy to drive, lots of power and nimble steering. Here in the USA you can find stretches of highway to open up on occasion-just keep an eye on your radar detector!

  • A program call Fraps can be very useful for screen capture.

  • Thank you so much for your videos, Peter. I enjoy watching every one of them. You remind me to keep things simple and slow, that life doesn't have to be a constant rush. It's very refreshing. :)

  • "I'm not much into cars.

They're just wheels as far as I'm concerned.

    I'm a biker. That's my scene."

I laughed out at this Peter. hilarious. I love hearing from you.

  • Hi, Peter. I hope you're doing well. Sorry I've not been around much for a while. I've been busy, and more recently, ill (had pneumonia).

I look forward to seeing your picture. It sounds kewl! I like photoshop. It's a great application. I'll have to check out your picture when it's ready. You might check out some of the plug-ins for Photoshop. You might find something there that you can use.

Hehe, a Porsche? Sounds fun! For someone not into cars, you sound like you enjoyed it.

  • Petey! You gotta come to Austin, Texas! We can hang and go riding thru the hill country.. you'll freak. Lemme know when?

  • kilomanjaro?? Damn!! well done! color me impressed..

  • Awesome Cool Dude that You Be.

  • great video, Peter!!

  • Good to see you Peter! Tell me, do keep your ties tied when you take them off so you don't have to re-tie it when you put it on again. that's the way I did it during the years I had to wear one. But not since I retired 12 years ago!

  • You should try the Fraps screencapture software. It's quite handy, actually.

  • Peter, hang with your own camera-position preference--much more pleasant to the eye than the usual in-your-face composition.

Had to laugh when you said one of my favorite mottos: "Cars, they're nothing but a set of wheels. I'm a biker." I wish I had a dollar (or a Euro) for every time I've said exactly the same thing--I'd retire in the Bahamas. Cars are cages; bikes are our own personal slingshots, as you know full well.

Loved seeing you again, as usual. You do my heart good, as we say.

  • Good to hear from you :)

The warmer weather lately is great

  • sir, you always have something interesting and profound to share; even when you just say 'hi.'

for example, i never really paid attention to the level or angle of the camera that youtubers use until you mentioned it. i much prefer the angle you use. i feel like i'm sitting across from you, listening and learning. thanks again

  • Good to hear from you again! keep them coming

  • You took a fancy to that nice car, huh? Almost as nice as a motor bike.(smile...........

  • Hello to you, Peter! Hope all is well across the Pond!

For gosh sakes, don't change the camera. It looks and works fine the way it is.

    Jim

  • what camera r u using

  • I love your videos! Great to hear from you :)

  • Thanks for popping in to say hi :)

  • Great!

  • Always great to hear from you Peter, never feel sorry for putting up a video! They're always great and a good listen.

    From a faithful listener,

    Matty from Belgium

  • Did the lamb hot pot turn out well?

  • you can use a scrren capture software - ScreenFlow for Macs, and CamStudio for PCs!

  • Hi back to you!! Subject? Who needs a subject, when ALL you want to say is HI!?

  • I love your videos - you could read the phone book and I would love it too...

  • Great video Peter.

I love Porsches even though I dont drive.

  • Good to see you as always Peter :)

  • Great video Peter, the sound quality is far better also.

  • If you get old once you will also loose your teeth. Show some respect to older people!

  • I got to drive a Mazda Miatta once. That was surprisingly fun.

  • I enjoy your videos you should always do them how you feel best

  • Peter, I always enjoy your videos... they are always very calm, and uplifiting... keep it up.

    ,Perry

  • always like to hear your voice and Hi to you as well !

  • Hi Peter, Glad you enjoyed your porche ride :) it would be great to see some painting instruction (I see you have a fine art degree!). I personally need some instruction on painting still ocean water but cant find any anywhere!. All the best x.

  • Great to hear you had a good holiday :) And nice to see a video from you again:-) Hope you will have a good week. M.

  • Love hearing from you, Peter! Always interesting, and fun.

...wishing you the very best for a good week.

  • You can download a screen capture software called Fraps for free.

  • I have to agree with you about the composition, but one advantage of the straight-on headshots is that they give a bit more facial detail in these little windows we watch. That should become less of an issue as people's access to bandwidth grows and video resolutions get bigger.

  • Hi Peter!

  • I do prefer your composition the way you chose. It's very nice. How lovely to get out and about again and such a ride home! Have a great week!

  • Yes your videos are really peaceful. It's nice to have a break from crazy world.

    Thanks Peter

  • Hi, CamtStudio is a wonderful free screen capture program, you can even find instructions here on YouTube on how to use it!

  • CamStudio without the t in the middle*

  • hey! im always watching your videos. I love your messages, as its so humanistic, so peaceful, and so darn friendly!

i am praying for you, and wishing you all the best.

God Bless you, always, my friend. :))

    Best,

    Lorenz

  • Try Camtasia studio, its great quality and zooms in on certain parts you click on automatically at the end of the video.

  • Great video Peter and I can't wait to see the picture you did on photoshop.

  • Apple Mac has a screen capture software built into it Peter. I use Mac.

  • Hi Peter, Wow mount kilamanjaro, that is an achievement! I bet your son is happy with that! Good luck with the photoshop, you know it better than i do, i find it hard to work with. Not bad going for someone in their 80's compared to a 29 year old, lol. I'm really glad to hear that you got out of the house and enjoyed London. Tiring maybe, but nice all the same, especially with the porsche car! Always a pleasure to watch and listen to you and looking foward to the next video. Take care, Claire x

  • Another pleasantly nice, relaxed video from you.

    Thank You.

  • ...

  • About doing a video tutorial for Photoshop... you said about using a camera on your screen and not being able to see the buttons/menus etc properly and stuff... then you mentioned screen capture software and i was thinking the same thing, I was going to suggest Camtasia or something like that, as you can have it follow your mouse and it do certain things when you click so people know when you click etc =) or have the whole screen visible and a yellow highlight around the mouse.Maybe try that :D

  • Quite remarkable how far your computing skills have come since you started here on YouTube. I seem to recall you once asking for help on how to use Windows Movie Maker. Photoshop is a league apart in difficulty. Good work.

  • heh, what were you sat on at first? a different chair? thats ... yeh i like the composition stuff that you were talking about at the start :D!

    Hi:D!

  • coolest old dude ever.

  • Picture sounds interesting, I would like to see it when it's done - though might be easier when you have printed it.

    Have a good week Peter.

  • Love hearin' you shoot the breeze, Peter :D

I'm not much of a car person, but I wouldn't mind a nice car (eg; Porsche) to ride in, ha.

  • I always enjoy your updates, Peter! Have a great week!

  • Thanks 4 another great vid :)

  • hi

  • would have loved to drive in the porsche too. haha

  • I enjoyed listening to you. Thanks.

  • Thanks

  • Great video!

  • Hello Peter!

    Great to see you!

  • hello x)

  • It's so good to see you Peter.

Wow! Your son climbed that mountain!
