The CSX is actually a horrible copy of the Honda Civic Type-R FD2! I thought the Civic Type-R was comin to the USA. Instead, I see a bullcrappy version of what was supposed to be the Civic Type R. Stupid Acura.
@rvdthps So your telling me that the CSX is better than the Type R? How horrible to think that. The CSX Type-S is a bunch of crap. How can anyone except this!? It's not the same. So what that the Type R copied CSX Type S, it's NOT the same. Acura should never had made that bad copy of a Civic. They should've just let Honda make the Civic's instead. It's still a shame that Acura made a bad civic. -_-
dude the type r is a classic car no doubt, but give the CSX a chance as well. The CSX is IIHS's (International Institute of Highway Safety) top safety pick from 06-2011 you can find all the information on there website from head on crashes to side impact accidents and roll overs. All of there tests show that the csx even though its small can take a beating. The CSX is a good car hands down and Honda/Acura are going with the new look of having safe cars. Give it a chance!
@aomarkhail I don't i'll give the Acura CSX. I don't like how the IIHS thinks. They always criticize the better cars (BMW 1 series hatchback, Audi A1, Honda Civic Type R FN2, etc.) and so does the EPA (mostly the retarded EPA). So ya, I'll never give the CSX another chance, since I don't want to be fooled by the North American Domestic Market (NADM) or the United States Domestic Market (USDM).
@AZLAN210396 The CSX here can NEVER compare with the piece of crap civic back in Malaysia. I know this for a fact, because I was in Malaysia just recently for a vacation. The exterior may be similar but the interior just screams quality. The civic in Malaysia, just looks cheap and plasticly. So there's no fucking way Honda would "rebadge" an Acura to become a civic. It would just cost way more in Malaysia. Btw, there's no touch screen navigation in the Civics in Malaysia. So get your facts right
@AZLAN210396 There are Honda Civics in North America, too. Civics are probably the most common car you see around. The Acura CSX is not a Civic, though they're definitely similar.
@quatlen In canada we have the "american civic" The CSX is the REAL civic all around the world. the civic we have here doesnt exist anywhere else except north america
Well, for starters, it's based on a car that's actually decent, and is a very well executed package. Being a "luxury" compact doesn't mean that the car is necessarily gonna suck.
@Ge0vone i hear that... i want to convert My Si into a CSX...weird i know but here in the states no one knows about the CSX.... i have the navigation already just need the fenders bumper headlights trunk and tail lights. and i am there. and leather interior lol.
@immortal4942 don't you need to do some paperwork to bring it back to the US? I'm thinking about doing that, but don't know how much hoops I gotta jump through.
@scarynoudlechubby i think its just some paper work. not like brining cars from us to canada. thats a pain and requires car mods. i prefer doing some paperwork than modding the whole car. by the way i left that comment a year ago lol.
Yes, the redline is at 8200 rpm, although you're probably getting a bit more horse power between 7 and 8 rather than going all the way up (if that's the last gear you're taking), if you're speeding up, bring to redline so next gear gets more HP as soon as you switch to it.
This looks suspiciously like a us
