The cat walks away from you every time you approach it, so I just tried to chase it back around to the shop on foot (Epona won't go over the bridge), but it would never cross the bridge or the stream that way. That's why I was getting so frustrated; I couldn't progress without the slingshot. That's also why I looked up this video in the first place; since herding didn't work, I had to figure out what DOES work.

@JapaneseAnya As soon as your float starts to sink, pull up sharply so the wii mote makes a whoosh noise, eventually you will get fish on. Then just keep pulling up or holding wii mote up and you will land the fish

I had the same problem, however if you just shake both controllers about you usually get a bite right away.

1,cast the line into the water,2 wait for the lure to bob up and down,3 as you see it bob you raise the rod above your head until you get the fish : )

J'ai eu le jeu aujourd'hui et j'ai bien gaspillé entre 30 minutes et 1h a essayé de faire mordre ces choses... xD Je ne comprend pas comment on fait. J'ai eu une prise mais je ne sais pas comment j'ai fait et je m'y attendais pas alors j'ai remonté le Wiimote brusquement et la prise à lachée.

i hate hate hate this puzzle.

the gameplay involved - such as when the cat will follow you if youve got your pole out but not when you dont, leading you to think you can guide him to his home- is completely counter intuitive. what SHOULD work does NOT work. and tehn what you actually ahcve to do seems arbitrary, and the trigger of it acctually WORKING and the fish flopping on land and the cat grabbing it is totally random!!! then link gets a stupid look on his face just like yours. priceless.

Simple really. Just wait for the bobber to go down, and immediatly bring it up. When the color part of the bobber goes down, bring it up. It's extremely easy once you get the hang of it.

youtube search how to fish. there's a video on here that really fucking helps. what you do is right after you cast your rod in and the bobble thing is floating, as SOON--as very soon--as it's pulled down at all, you pull the rod up and you'll get a fish. it helped me so much.

If I remember correctly you get the fishing you must climb the vines right near the shop and jump across to the last platform to your right. There will be special grass where you can call for an hawk. Point the hawk at the cradle at the other end of the town downstream. Take the cradle to the pregnant woman who will give you the fishing rod.

you have to pull up on the fishing rod when the green line hits the water. That's why those colored lines are on the fishing rod.

It's a sort of guideline. But sometimes you might have to pull up when it's a bit passed the green line cuz the fish may be a bit deeper then you think. Anywho.. hope that helped you xboxfosho. =0]

The mother is the pregnant lady standing near a river, wanting her basket. To get the basket, call the hawk w/ the grass, and hit the monkey that is jumping up and down on a rock, holding the basket. Bring the basket to the pregnant lady, and she'll give you the fishing pole.
