I heard about this archaeologist who was digging a tomb that they put Pharaohs in with their treasure and slaves and chariots and luxury but he wasn't supposed to take their stuff because well they need it lol! But he did for science and the Pharaohs didn't give two hoots about science but they wanted theri stuff back in heaven so they made the diggers very sick and they died but their stuff is still in museums! That backfired lol! I wonder if Pharaohs in heaven listen to this and sigh. I bet!
This is an interesting cover because whilst i usually love wild nothing for their dreamy, hazy atmospheric nostalgia that attitude doesn't do justice to the vitality and freshness that is so endearing in the original bush version. I definitely agree with @nataliemb89's call that this is "lazy". it just loses all it's verve. I can understand why wild nothing would have covered this however; kate bush and wild nothing are musical cousins.
Wow, what's with all the positive comments? I mean, if I just heard this and didn't know it was a cover, I'd think it owned. But the vocals are so lazy. It's well produced, but I just don't see any need for this at all, it really doesn't even compare to the original. Finally, I'll have to reiterate - very lazy vocals, and a very lazy feel to it in general in my opinion. Sorry to be harsh.
@nataliemb89 Wow, did you just challenge me to a youtube battle? I am the finest keyboard warrior in these lands and I suggest you just wave the white flag before I unleash my wrath all over you.
@nataliemb89 Yeah? You're the authority on this shit? Lol, come on, I was just putting down what I thought, and I think I'm right. Compared to the original, I think this is nothing and I find it lazy, and I don't find that the laziness fits the song.
@madtom1337 Criticism with a negative intent is in no way constructive. You're not even benefiting yourself with this attitude-- the chemicals in your brain are altered merely by your way of thinking and someone who has "vomitable" thoughts is much more likely to be depressed. So why not change the way you treat others? You'll change yourself in the process.
@nataliemb89 I gave my critique on this piece of music, and was basically just giving the original a massive big up and saying that this doesn't hit the spot. I don't really see what's so negative about that, just because it's not all happy clappy. Especially now compared to your criticism of my character as a whole, saying I should change myself and the way I treat others! :P Hmmm...!
im a kate biggie and im all for original cover versions. also i think 'lazy' can be glorious. but i hear no love for the song in this vocal. he sounds like a factory worker with a monday morning hangover, keeping his head down, trying to make it to dinner break. --- @nataliemb89 i hope i don't sound of negative intent. should we avoid depression by liking everything? i prefer to give this dead thing a swift burial and so protect the chemicals in my brain by never hearing it again.

I was outside and it was about 30 degrees or so and this song was on my ipod and I swear it was this song that was giving me chills. It's just something about that part where he says "everytime it rains"
