Hey, every great movie has a parody as a back handed compliment, a reference point, or else it wouldn't work as parody. No doubt the real Touching the Void is a sacred record. Of course some in the audience will be shallow and say climbing is a wank and pointless ... as a projection of their own life, defensively. To be pitied. TTV was beautifully honest. No doubt. A gift.

Look. They are not laughing at Simon and Joe. The (albeit limited) humour of the film lies in the fact that the characters are so weak and pathetic in comparison with Simon and Joe. In this sense it is a compliment to the brave mountaineers.

Well I enjoyed this and think you made a good job of it. I don't see that it is any reflection one way or another on Simon and Joe other than a testament to the strong reaction to their story. I do think it is a compliment to the producer/direcctor of Touching the Void as it takes off the distinctive style of that film but in a light hearted way.

Lighten up everyone....the previous few people are taking this rather too seriously. This wee movie is a spoof...having fun with the film Touching the Void and not the incident that happened to the climbers. Check out other films made in 24 or 48 Hour Film Challenge competitions....this is a decent and funny effort given a short time to make a film.

I don't know guys. I try to accept and respect all art, and you obviously put quite a bit of work into the making of this film. I am ashamed however, at the seeming heartlessness of those who would make a joke out of such a terrible and incredible event as Joe and Simons ordeal on siula grande.

If you feel like explaining to me the inspiration and thinking behind the production of your film i would truly be interested to hear it.

I thought this was a really amazing achievement, especially because of the limits in time. I saw it at the festival screening and at the shoot first screening, and I think that this is a really excellent film. (I entered 2.4.6.8 myself, and I can honestly say that this film beats mine hands down!) Well done guys.
