It as a real pain when I (living in Australia) discovered Dark Cloud would never hit Australian retailers. I ended up having to hire it; best 3 days I'd spent on PS2 until Kingdom Hearts came along. I was... maybe 11 or 12. It upsets me that Australia misses out on so many VG titles.

Is it sad that if I just listen to the music (not seeing the actual opening), I can picture what's happening? I mean in the beginning, I can picture the camera zooming in on Dark Heaven Castle and right here at 0:11 I can see Toan riding on Dran and hear the flapping of his [Dran's] wings as they near their destination.

Your other clue is that he uses fully upgraded version of blade his dad left for main character in sand village. I didnt say the name of the village because it changes depending on how u enter village. Wierdest damn typo ever.

When i was playing this game, I wasn't seeking for the most powerful game, I was always with my favorites one: Toan: the sword that was needed to kill the white snake, Xiao: The talking slingshot, Goro: The fish, Ruby: the first ring, Ungaga: the frist weapon (I never liked this character) and osmond: well nothing...

Am I the only one that have always kept his old favorite weapon and still have pass the game?

Quite honestly, the dungeoncrawling was a bit samey and grindy and the switching of characters started feeling a bit tedious as the game progressed (that is to say that it could have been more fluent), but otherwise it was a pretty solid title.

appearently you never played .hack before. its very cool, i think its kind of better than this, however i think the fact you can play more than one person in this is an invaluable feature so this is just better by a little :D
