Does everyone know about "Boney - Following The Footprints Of A Lost TV Series"? It's not a book, it's a disk with a brilliantly researched and illustrated PDF file to read on PCs or Macs. It tells the whole Making Of story with interviews with the producer, crew and controversial star James Laurenson, and lots more.

Blimey, that's a very young David Gulpillil and a very tame looking Sydney! Be nice if we could go back to those simpler times. Really enjoyed watching Boney as a kid. Thanks for uploading this.
Great glimpses of early 70s Sydney streetscapes and the architectural simplicity of the airport departure terminal - where not only could Boney park and not get hassled by security Nazis but the hostie is willing to return the rental car for him!
If the rest of the series has similar outdoor photography of 70s Sydney, I'll grab the DVD boxset!
Thanks FD .. loved Boney as a kid .. have the entire TV soundtrack on LP .. I recently converted to MP3 .. let me know if you'd like a copy.. thanks for the brilliant uploads !!
Yes, initially transmitted in B/W in 1972-73 because virtually no one had colour TV sets in Australia at that time. Boney was filmed in colour because of the audience potential in overseas markets that already employed colour TV systems.
