Nice chops BUT a little too busy. The bass and drums are suppose to keep the pocket. It's like he soloing while the choir is singing. But man you've got GREAT skills.... Find the pocket and stay there!

thats so funny when bass players say that. cuz nobody hears you, untill you do a chop. you never hear anybody in gospel say " man his pocket was hot" at least for a bass player.... i know how to stay in the pocket and groove my butt off, but i didnt start getting gigs till i start chopping and becoming more aggressive in my playing. you do you bruh! cuz when it all come down to it. as long as God hear you you good!

i agree cuz when i first started i stayed in the pocket and no one noticed me unless i messed up. now i play more flashy stuff and people notice me. i guess i have a balance formed...stay in the pocket, but stick an arm or leg out of it every once in a while lol
