  • This scene can make you be more upset and cry more in 2 minutes than most sad movies can in 90.. Truly brilliant !

  • God, Zach Braff is the best actor in the world, mabye even the best director.

  • This scene is one of the saddest Scrubs scenes besides the "Any Minute Now" and "How To Save A Life".

  • to lose my best friend is my worst nightmare <3

  • I love this episode...I still cry when I hear that song. How do I get the full version of that song???? I must know!!!

  • Tears, they never fail

  • His expression changing at 0:50 is probably the most true human feeling I've ever seen on TV or in movies. Confusion into realization into sadness, and then a cover-up smile. John C. McGinley is easily one of the best actors of our time.

  • this episode was done perfectly, were you have no idea what happend untill the very end and when you think about it you see it, I mean he cant be the first paind JD lost Dr Cox took a big offend to it and no one reacted to what Ben did only Cox THIS is good writing on TV

  • That episode has a reference to Tintin. Pause this video at 0:50, when JD asks Cox "Where do you think we are"? It's identical to a scene from a Tintin album, even the trees behind them. Type on google: tintin where do you think we are?

  • @hummerhousehere

It's the other way around, the TinTin album was made after this episdoe aired.

  • This show is an example of pure genius. Scrubs is one of the only tv shows that can portray real human emotion and life experiences that literally everyone can relate to. This tv show not only brings me much joy and entertainment to watch, but i can honestly say that because of this show i have become a better, more sincere person and i couldn't be more grateful.

  • Poor Pinkie....

  • gosh i cry every time i see this :'(

  • first time i cried watching scrubs. this show is amazing.

  • helluva nice scene

  • Dam you Ted and your miserable life!

  • Why the hell is Ted at Ben's funeral?

  • when did ben die? or was he dead for the entire episode?

  • @ForeversNever You know when Cox gets angry at J.D for letting a patient die? Ben was the patient

  • "But in the end the most important thing to accept is that no matter how alone you feel, how painful it may be, with the help of those around you...you'll get through this too."

  • Did you notice that everyone (Ben, Laverne) dies on/shortly after the birthdays of Cox' childrens? :P

  • @RafaelMarcF22 who else other than those 2?

  • This episode came on last night- when it started and I saw Ben reappear, I was like 'oh god, it's this episode again...'

    I cried :'(

  • I watch this scene again once every week at the least. It never fails....

  • @Kaleopolitus Same. It is a bloody brilliant scene.

  • @LAWG4 made me bawl my eyes out when i first watched it lol

  • @s1e5b9 Just the first time?

  • "Where do you think we are?"

  • Zach Braff fucking kills it in this scene. Great acting

  • this episode is so fantastic, it´s sad and sometimes funny, an the story, that dr. cox. imagine bens alive and thinks he is on the birthday party of his son is so... i have no words^^ sry for my bad english ;)

  • Brendon Frasier. Killed in action by mummies.

    Rest in peace, old friend.

  • 4 People don't know where they are...

  • For me, the saddest moment in the clip is at 0:42 when JD says "where do you think you are?"

Then Cox turns around and finally realises Ben is gone.

  • @Khorney you are so right men

  • Song: Winter by Joshua Radin

  • wat song is dis?

  • The soundtrack rips your fucking heart out.

  • this is the one episode of scubs that makes you want to cry because it tugs at your heartstring

  • I found this very emotional.

  • it makes you want to cry

  • so your saying if a family member of yours died you wouldn't be sad even one bit?

  • Why don´t you return the favor then? Go kill yourself, so i can piss on your grave! Fucktard...

  • the song, perfect, the timing, perfect, i not going to lie, first time i saw this, i cried

  • i just watched it. it made me cry

  • @lmaoirock i think all of us do

  • @lmaoirock that is what makes this sitcom unique..

  • @lmaoirock I still cry when I see it.

  • Whats the name of the song that is played ?

  • it's called winter, it's by joshua radin

  • if you have a heart, then you cried at this part.

  • i watched this on my DVD this mornin and i cried :'(

  • This one, and my personal favorite "Your going to be okay" from the musical episode.

  • In my opinion, Scrubs goes drastically downhill from season 5 onwards. Seasons 1 to 4 were pure gold, but it just gets stupid, and that episode with the baptism? Like what the fuck was that about... Plus J.D. turns from weird funny guy to just the biggest douche. Goes from good programme to spineless programme just trying to get cheap laughs.

This is my favourite scene from all scrubs, very moving, great episode (from a great season).

  • i disagree, i think that all the seasons are amazing and while the first 3 were indeed the best i would never say that the show got worse, just different. because the show focuses on the emotions and feelings of the characters it got more dramatic so there were fewer jokes. less funny maybe but still a powerful show

  • i agree about this season. except for the seasme street episode its not funny

  • it sucks they killed ben off he was one of the best guest star on scrubs

  • Who does the song in this? I've always wondered.

  • Joshua Radin, song called winter. I also made a video with another song from Joshua watch?v=iLctuzIIeN0. Btw. a very sad part of scrubs.

  • Joshua Radin - Winter

  • always gets me

  • "In the end, the most important thing to except is that no matter how alone you feel, how painful it may be, with the help of those around you, you'll could get through this, too."

That's my eighth grade quote dedicated to Ben... R.I.P

  • at my school they don't let us leave quotes like that...you rock

  • wow...you rule

  • I had never ever cried while watching TV up to this episode. Never cried again up until the second time I saw it.

Such an emotional moment that touches the viewers heart in an undescribable way.

Fantastic acting and writing, this is hands down my favorite TV show.

  • same here

  • greatest scrubs moment ever

  • true

  • when ever doctor cox is sad it makes everyone whos watching it sad like when he cries in this and the part where dr cox's organ transplant patients go horribly wrong plus the commentary by JD makes it even more sadder

  • Dr. Cox is my favorite character this part had me starting to cry.

  • and when dr. cox turns around you can see his mourning in his eyes :(

  • that part where JD says "Where do you think we are?" always gets to me.

  • ): sad..

  • whats the song? rply to me or msg me if u know :D 5/5

  • Joshua Radin - Winter

  • Thanks

  • scrubs always has the best songs...

  • who ever plays Dr. Cox is definitely the best actor on the show. Any scene where he shows contempt for others, which is quite a few, is hilarious. And any scene where he displays sadness always is a potential tear-jerker

  • It's spelled "leukemia."

  • Lucemia, if thats how it's pronounced.

  • how did ben die?

  • how did ben die?

  • DISNEY RULES IN ALL AREAS WHEN IS ABOUT MOVIES:)..they only have the best of the best in all areas

  • best ep of one of the best shows

  • Scrubs Rocks

    this episodes rock

love the song (JOSHUA RADIN WINTER)

  • Scrubs Rocks

    this episodes rock

love the song (JOSHUA RADIN WINTER)

  • the best scene ever!!!! no one expected that coming,i almost cry when i saw it first time...

  • same here, was totally lost for words at the end. when i watched it again i understood (bit like Fight Club lol). very, very sad episode.

  • Beautifully done. I didn't see it coming when it aired.

  • idk why I started crying during this but it's a great vid..

  • That was so freaking depressing X_X

  • Thanks chaos599

  • the person who sang that is by joshua radin

  • The songs called winter but i forgot who its by so cant find it

  • This hit me so hard. I cryed a lot. Btw what is this song called? Ty.

  • Awesome video!!!!!

  • this song is great

  • Winter - Joshua Radin

  • Does anyone know what song this is?

  • very sad episode man...any1 knows what d song is playing in the backgrounf???....dr.cox is d best character in d show

  • Joshua Radin - Winter

  • wow...just a trivial note, I just realized that on the show, bens funeral was on Jack's birthday. 3 seasons later, Cox's second child is born on the day Lavern dies...anyone else notice this????

  • it reminds me of the funeral when one of my best friends dies. He shot his friend in the head and after that he shot himself in the throat... they knew being gay would never be accepted by their parents and so they've chosen to be together forever that way. that happened in 1997 - Rest in Peace Bergo

  • that's so sad! I'm sorry!

  • thx, you know..time is healer and i focus on the happy things in life :-)

  • this makes me really upset tbh i remember watching it for the first time and it making me cry i will never forget this episode it was probably one of the best out of the series

    james

  • my screw up

  • wat is this episode called plz aww its well sad how dc cox didnt realise he was dead :'( lets all give him a hug

  • dude, if you ever want to see the sadest picture, hands down, it is a crying dr. cox

  • In addition,Perry told jd about not going to a party when the most concerned person doesn't know about it,and you might think he was talking about his son's bithday, but he talks about ben's funeral

  • For OMGAnime => at the begining of the épisode,Perry told jd about an old man "he is not gonna die in the next 20 minutes" and he left(in the french version,so it can be a bit different in us one). When he came back,jd told him "he died 20 minutes after you have left"he was actualy talking about ben and not about the old man

  • This is one of my favorite episdoes, but I have a question. When exactly did Ben die? I'm a bit confused. Ben was alive throughout the whole episode, then at the end you find out he's dead.

  • THAT one made my cry believe me!

  • you're not alone. it was one of my sadest TV moments... great episode!!

  • Jesus... Nothing makes me cry, NOTHING!

  • ...I'm still crying... this episode is so amazing. I love scrubs!

  • The Song is called "Winter" by Joshua Radin

  • what song is this?

  • The clip is good....but to get the full scale of the emotions..you gotta watch the whole thing...good ep.

  • Does ayone have the full episode?

  • I'm sorry!!! I really don't get this episode. I was watching it the other day.. so was he dead the whole time and dr. cox was just imagining him because he was in denial?

  • yup, he was the guy that died in teh hospital, not the old man...

i watch this everynight along wit my lunch...

need an outlet to cry, school is hard :(

  • he was dead pretty much the whole time. near the beggining cox says "you still gonna be an annoying.... that takes pictures of everthing" and that guy replies "till the day i die" you dont see him with a camera from there. i noticed that the 2nd time i watched it.

  • Wow.. Didnt notice that!

  • this was a great episode

  • I cried here. It's such a brilliant scene. Amazing x

  • this makes me cry so bad..i wanna see this episode..

  • i LOVE LOVE LOVE scrubs, i love JD and dr. cox, but this is by far one of my fave episodes of all timeee

  • I got a little misty eyed at this one, but I cried mostly at My Lunch, another amazing episode! :)

  • i saw this when i first started out watching scrubs . i think its the most amazing scene ive ever watched .

  • I cried to this episode....um...BANANA HAMMOCK! :(

  • the episode is called "MY SCREWUP"

  • I saw this episode for the 50th time last night and for the first time in ages of watching it i was nearly in tears it's one of the saddest episodes ever. The music really adds to the sadness as well. I LOVE SCRUBS

  • I can't believe I cried when I saw this episode

  • Cox has feelings?

  • every human being has feelings = Fact

  • aww man, this makes me cry every time i see it

  • In this episode Ben comes but dies whilst he is there and Dr Cox thinks that he is still alive and that he isn't going to die and that he will be able to take pictures at Jack's(Cox's son' birthday, He only finally accepts Ben has died when he was walking through the grave yard which he thinks is a park and when JD asks him 'Pictures of what' and 'Where do you think we are' Cox finally accepts that Ben has died.

  • if u wanted 2 make me and my pregnant girlfriend cry u suceeded i love this show n i ave missed loads of episodes damn it cox rules he is such a gr8 actor any1 seen him in platoon? thanx 4 posting sniff sniff

  • I dont get it. What happened? Sorry, i dont watch the show? Was he imagining the guy who just died was there with him?

  • This is a great clip. I had to let the comments on this remind that these guys are actors, otherwise I'd be sad for a week. I'm still sad, but now I'm also impressed by the performances of these guys.

  • when ever Bens around all these crazy halutionations (OMG HE SPELT IT RONG LOLOL) happen.

  • I didnt realize that Ben was dead until this part the first time, this is why I love this show, its so good at making you care about the characters lives.

  • Thank you... :-)

  • i know its comming but i still blub! So sad!! I love that episode!!! Scrubs is the best!

  • i cry i really cry at this end...

is one of the best and also one of the sadest Ends

    :'(

  • just watch dr coxs facial expressions as he realizes that ben is dead, and you will see that he is the most talented actor on the show.

  • true.hail Cox

  • I could not agree more with you.

  • One of the best ever scenes. I never get tired of watching or listening to it.

  • This is my Favorite Episode. Right up there with "My Lunch". It's absolutely Beautiful. I think these are one of those scenes that prove that Scrubs isn't just another sitcom.

  • Also I really like this song, "Winter" by Joshua Radin.

  • Johnny C.'s Acting is greatttt. I can go on and on about this scene.

  • one of the sadest epos. reli movin twist at the end but loveee it lol

  • This is such a superb scene. I loved this episode.
