Very nice video. This is one of the best. I really like the 5 different screens in one at 2mins:50secs. That must be very difficult to get right. Also you make the point very good. I have been doing some thinking on this intersection and I think that if they made the right lane strait and right turn and the left lane left turn only that it might help this a lot. They don't need a separate right turn lane there. At least it would keep the passing on the left like its should be.
How many times have you seen someone in the right lane go strait through the light. Then speed up around everybody on the shoulder. I've seen it more than once. One time with the school light flashing. (I called that guy's tag # into MCSO. But there's not much they can do with out seeing the crime.) Same with the 484 and 475a intersection when it bottlenecks.
The right lane ends. Local drivers KNOW THIS. Drivers that care about the speed limit merge left to avoid the right turn only just ahead. OTHER drivers ignore the speed limit like it is only a suggestion for beginners or something. The locals do this over and over all day long with very little law inforcement ever coming around. People need a babysitter like a bunch of small children that can't be trusted to be left alone.... sad.
