This song reminds me of one thing: Kindergarden. I was 5 or 6 when I first played this game at my uncle's house (he was a teenager at the time) and I remember when he beat it, it was so cool. I could say that it was this game that introduced me to the Nintendo universe.

This song brings me back to my innocent merry summer of 1996. Whenever I would not be playing this game, especially if I'm at hardware stores (because around the time I got this game in '96, my dad had a huge home improvement project going on) I would pretend areas of the hardware store were Yoshi Island levels, the garden centers would definitely be the Jungle levels.

I feel like Yoshi's island gets a bum rap alot of times from people who complain that "its not a Mario game" or "Baby Mario is annoying".

This game has an AMAZING soundtrack, particularily the opening cutscene and the end theme, the gameplay is fun, tricky, but fair (except for the special levels) I honestly think its one of the best Mario games out there. Out of all the games I played as a child, NONE of them take me back like this one does, it really brings out the kid in you.

Honestly a lot of the older soundtracks I find to be better...the latest game I love the OST for is Arc the Lad Twilight of Spirits. Things before that were better, Yoshi Island, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Star Ocean 2nd Story, Wild Arms. Most games just don't have great OSTs anymore to me

I remember getting this game for my 4th birthday. I love it so freaking much. I finally managed to score 100 on every level (including the extra stages!) just a year or two ago. It's fun and cutesy at times, but damn does it take a lotta skill and/or patience to beat it 100%.

I remember going to an electronics store when I was about 8. I was originally trying to get Killer Instinct, but the guy wouldn't sell it to me. Then I tried to get Beavis and Butthead, but it was sold out. I eventually ended up getting this game, and I enjoyed it ever since. This song always a place within my most pleasant memories. ^_^

I remember renting this game when i was 6 or 7 years old. It was an overnight rental and my brother and I were busy with a TMNT 4 rental. I played for less than an hour that night.

I heard this track on the first stage and loved it. I remembered the exact melody, timing, volume, etc,, from that short play time. It was another 7 years before i played that game again and remembered that night and that great experience exactly.

I'm 20 now, and that memory stands strong anytime i hear the music.
