  • @mrwarmth100 Well, I'm happy you are pleased. Thanks for the kind note...Lanny (Nocaro)

  • the saddest song ever.

  • During that time I was in the high school in Taichung, I was dreaming to date with a young girl, who did not really know. It was more than 45 years ago, yet this song was still touching to my heart and reminding the young teenager's days. How sweet the song and the memory which the song might bring to me! Thanks for uploading. Altough the time goes like a wind, I have a clear memory in my mind.

  • Happy New Year, Norcaro! You always have the best recordings and corresponding photos with your video posts. Looking forward to this year and seeing more from your channel!

  • @jsbach15 Thanks for the note and Happy New Year to you as well.

  • Summer of '63, this was #1 in Denver, KIMN, 950 AM in Big D. Wolfsky9

  • Thanks from Spain! A M A Z I N G!!!!

  • Great job NOCARO, You the man when it comes to these great uploads. 5,000 stars for the video & you. = )

  • My friend Nocaro, I love this music. Thanks for posting.

    Paulo from Brazil.

  • Just when I think you can't top yourself you do, thanks again.

  • Smooth. I can't imagine anyone else singing this song. And, since I can't find either the Tony Bennett or The Clovers version on YouTube, I can't even make a comparison.

    Thanks, Nocaro, as always.

  • @YY4Me133 I think I tried to post The Clovers' version (which is absolutely beautiful) a few years ago, but I think YouTube nixed it for copyright reasons (but I may try again soon). I did post Brenda Lee's version (which is also nice), but she copied the arrangement that was done for Bobby on this recording. Thanks for the note...Lanny (Nocaro)

  • @Nocaro I just checked out Brenda Lee's version. A woman singing it doesn't work, and it's not really her style. That said, I do enjoy hearing different versions of songs I like. I have a few in my collection, e.g. "All I Really Want To Do" by The Byrds and by Cher, "Barbara Ann" by The Regents and by The Beach Boys, and "Stay" by Maurice Williams and by The Four Seasons. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Anyway, you've got an incredible collection. Much more extensive than mine.

  • @YY4Me133 If you want to hear a great version of Maurice Williams on "Stay" find my post of it on YouTube remastered for stereo. Thanks for the note.

  • @Nocaro I'm on my way>>>>>>>>>>

  • @Nocaro I just saw this when I came here to check out worldwidewandering's post. It seems YouTube hasn't been notifying me of responses to my comments. Sorry about that. I didn't ignore you.

I'm listening to Brenda Lee's version right now. I see what you mean by "she copied the arrangement." I like Brenda Lee, but prefer Bobby Vinton's version. Perhaps it's because Bobby Vinton's evokes memories, whereas, Brenda Lee's doesn't. I'm at that age, I guess. :o)

  • @YY4Me133 The Clovers:

  • @worldwidewandering I just found "Blue Velvet" by "The Clovers," as well as by "The Paragons." It's interesting to hear how different individuals/groups perform the same song.

  • Great job with Blue Velvet Nocaro. Keep up the fine work. Your friend Ricky!
