@MilleniumFDH It has a whole bunch of settings you can tinker with to get it to work properly. Though most people just use a color that isn't in the picture they're keying out.

The one thing i CANNOT stand abotu these greenscreen maps is that occasionally when i'm moving let's say a ragdoll's arm, it will freeze in mid air until i touch it again. This poses a massive problem against greenscreeners because there are scenes where i need FULL movement but the ragdoll will completely freeze over mid air. It really is a piss off.

Pointing out: You can colour the white room in construct green. As long as you get a good tone of green/blue. Also, you can probably use vegas pro trial to do this stuff. Hate to bump an old video.

Oh I will agree, Fraps is as good as it gets for some games, not many of the latest game, but some. Also, I would like to draw your attention to the title of your video:

"Garrys Mod GreenScreen Tutorial"

This is what confuses me, you're selling garrys mod tips, but telling them to download and use Fraps... Hmm... Not sure there, if you'd said, here is fraps, you can use this, but don't for gods sake use it with Garry's mod. Use Source Recorder instead. :)

Video was made when I had a computer with a small hard drive, so using source recorder was out of the question. I provided the easy tips for the production. I think I also mentioned the source recorder in my video, not sure, its been awhile. Just because you don't like fraps doesn't mean that I can't suggest it as a method.

Oh no, it was meant like that, anyone that tries to enforce the use of Fraps should be shot, the program itself is a pile of crap, aswell as its ability to control camera work, or non-existant control. Look up SMDB, all information anyone would ever need is there, along with a nice contribution from me :)

I agree that fraps isn't good when you have an alternative like what the source engine provides, some games don't have anything like that, and fraps is as good as it gets. So saying the program is a pile of crap is just stupid, since it does what is meant for quite well. Ok, i extracted a map called gm_greenscreens to garrysmod/garrysmod/maps and when i go into the map list its not in there. What am i doing wrong? this is always how i do it and it worked before. Please reply

Try looking harder, it is probably there and you don't see it. Was it a bsp file that you put in the maps folder or a rar/zip? Was the map in addon format? etc etc

I think i fixed it, i went into the file and copy/pasted the bsp into maps. Only problem is, everything is a checkerboard instead of green,white,blue,red etc

Alright, its all good now i found a new map. I managed to greenscreen gmod characters into a video of me on my porch but they are hard to see. i put chroma keyer in the RL and gmod recording. But what i don't get is why they are so hard to see.
