  • Thank you for your very nice comment.

  • absolutely wonderful, you should be proud.

  • Really good. I like the standard, especially Steve Young's version, but in order to get this many views with a famous name the song has to be good. Seen people consciously try to get hits with famous named originals and get stuff all. Your's was obviously not a planned effort and is all the better for it. I like your influences too. Heard you first on Ron's channel.

  • @CurtisMateer

Thank you for your kind words.

No, not planned at all. After reading Caldwell's book, I didn't know what else to call it.

Ron, aside from being very talented, has always been a good friend.

  • Very nice Tom enjoyed it , geweldig.

  • Good song! Certainly it would be well received in nashville!

  • @Upritebass

Thanks for your kind words. Yea, there's a little of that Nashville feel to most of my stuff, but this one is pure. LOL

  • nice, i like it

  • @casiosdio Thanks, man.

  • hi ! (scuse my language i'm french)

could you please publish the lyrics? I can't stop myself to hear this song in my head... and play it with my guitar!!

Please stay as cool as you're here! have fun ;)

  • @panoptikon58

I've always wantesd to see France.

Thank you very much for your kind comments.

Sure, I'll stick the lyrics up there.

    Take care.

  • i must say, i'm not a huge fan of this type of music....but i'll have to make an exception, great playing an singing.

    keep it up!

  • Thanks, man. Coming from someone whose tastes lie elsewhere really means quite a bit to me.

  • Reminds me of Neil Young if his voice was deeper. Very nice. Im a young hipster myself. ha. Peace,

  • Thanks. I'm a big Neil Young fan.

But you're right...whenever I play a Neil tune I've got to play it in a different key. I'm just not gettin' up there in this lifetime. lol

  • @TomMeirose Well, better luck next life, then. We need more real music like this.

  • @shadowheart52 Yea, ain't it the truth about that next life?

    Thanks for stopping by.

  • it's great, and so are you. I must say, you look like Gary Busey.

  • Thanks so much for your kind words.

  • Ah, how easy it is to criticize . I am convinced all these negative, offensive comments come from very sad, angry people. Spread love, not insults. Peace.

  • Thanks for your kind words.

May peace and love follow you through all your days.

  • merry x-mas tom and happy new year

  • Merry Christmas, Wally.

  • To all the naysayers, I will say this fellow has done a good and creditable job. That there is so much rudeness and flaming on the Internet shows how rude public discourse has gotten. Tobacco Road has solidly intersected with the flaming sector of the Internet. If this man can't sing like Pavarotti or Mick Jagger, he needn't feel bad. He stepped up to the plate and gave it a sincere effort. The tune and words are actually pretty good. His guitar work is better than most current junk music.

  • GOOD

  • Thank you very much.

  • thanks, nice song π

  • Thanks for taking the time.

  • Bad, Very Bad

  • nice job dad

  • Thanks, Tom.

You know, I know a good number of talented writers out here, and when they feel I've done a good job on something it means a great deal to me.

But on some level that has nothing to do with one's peers, having you think I did a nice job means a great deal more.

  • good song man

  • Nice song but maybe you should alter the name so there isn't confusion with the very well known song from the 60's by the same name.

  • respect from scotland

  • tom-still waiting for the g.pinaha blues

  • I'm getting closer. I found the lyric for a tune called "The Victory Swing". Now I just have to remember how that chord pattern went. Soon, Wally...soon.

  • ok tom good luck in the future plans

  • nice job i like it

  • Thanks for taking the time to give it a listen.

  • I like this song. It's really cool how you spice up the chord sequence with those little picked interludes...deedle deedle dum...that's bound to stick in my head for the rest of the day. Which is nice :-)

  • Thanks so much. Anytime a bit of tune sticks in someone's head, that has to be a good thing.

I just stopped by your channel. You've got some really good stuff going. Keep it up.

  • i really enjoyed that song! could you send me the words and lyrics as well?

    thanks.

And thanks for giving it a second chance, Danny. You had me re-thinking the whole tune there for a minute or two. :-)
