  • This is REAL Korean music.

  • is there a place i can download this song?

  • @marerodz go to yahoo.kr and search 수룡음 ← copy

  • Very cool! I remember my grandpa telling me stories about Korea when it was spring there and how beautiful it was with the trees bosoming. Peace from Canada!!

  • korean is the best type of Asian cause they have a a bit of Chinese culture in them.

  • Is this a folk song or a royal suite? I hear some of the same instruments played in Sujecheon, but this one has more flute playing. Is it the t'aegeum or seogeum playing?

  • @hananokuni2580 chamber music for nobles maybe.

  • @hananokuni2580 It's court music that was played when officials bowed to the king. Originally it was played by the regular royal ensemble, but nowadays it's more often played as a duet of one danso and one saenghwang. The main flute that interests you is called the danso. It's a small vertically-played flute.

  • very good folk music.. fav

  • @rodrigorojo1 sorry for the vary late reply, but it's actually not folk music. 'Folk music' is usually used to denote traditional 'village' type of music. This is actually music played in ceremonies, and/or, for nobles (Sujecheon is a more appropriate example, though); it's a type of formal music, music that is art, rather than entertainment. Obviously, many folk traditions are now artforms too, but I think it's important to distinguish between something like this music or classical wester music

  • @rodrigorojo1 (continued), and folk music. This was a very organized type of music, one played in a manner that was later to be found in western classical music. It's something rather special. It's a lot more than just music, it's actually an art form and an 'institution', do to speak. there was specific music composed for it, much like in classical music etc. 'Korean folk music' can be used to describe other types of korean traditional music, but this is a chamber orchestra, so not really folk
