  • "Shooting in the rain, I'm shooting in the rain..." Great vid.

  • OMFG! HAHAHAH, I LOLED SOO HARD AT 1:12 LOL

  • 2:33 Was that a shell?

  • lawls i like how when u dropped it i was in my room and i just yelled NOOOO and my neighbor was like, shuttup!

  • 1:10 are you fingering that glocks caboose?!?!?

  • you should get used to shooting without hearing protection. if something does happen i doubt your going to have any just a suggestion or if you use and i pod a lot while at work or elsewhere shot with your headphones in

  • @Codekidd reading this comment tells me you dont shoot do you?

  • @cutlerylover no i shoot a lot shotguns and pistols when my brother and i went to a concealed carry class they told us it would be smart to practice shooting without hearing protection not all the just sometimes there example if someone breaks into your house how are you going to have time to grab ear protection and put it in before whoever it was harms you or your family

  • @Codekidd it stupid to practice without hearing protection and whoever told you that should not work with guns...I have done it before out of laziness, theres no way of "getting use to it" its just as loud the 1st time you hear it as the 100th so why chance losing your hearing permanently? in a real defense situation no one will have hearing protection on and it will be loud but the adrenaline will take over it wont bother you you may lose hearing for that moment but it wont effect what you do

  • @cutlerylover I fully agree with you. I shot without hearing protection once by necessity. That was over 20 yrs ago. I still have this annoying ringing in my right ear. I will keep it for the rest of my life. Those "instructors" that Codekidd went to need to find a new line of work.

  • @cutlerylover why not have hearing protection in sd espesially home defense with those electronic earmuffs i mean i keep a pair next to my gun that way if i have time boom i am fine

i have even talked to guys who ccw silencers so they wouldnt be def when the cops show up

  • @Codekidd Why not just tell him to get used to shooting without clothes?

  • @Codekidd

you've probably never shotten anything bigger than a .22. guns will damage your hearing if you practice with ear protection.

  • I like what you did at 1:12

  • Roflmao, with that kinda skill you can take out two people, one with the bullet, one with the casing, considering you nailed the camera with the casings a few times

  • dude please make a vid, where you shoot and catches the shells! :D

  • @Airsoftinsight it would feel like catching the ends of lit cigarettes

  • @RKftw68 Yeah, but by using some non-flameable gloves, it would be possible- and cool! :D

  • ha! two shells hit the camera.

  • Do you carry that around with you?

  • lol evil roy must die

  • 360 noscope....do it

  • @SuperKnifelover stop talking about mw2 will ya

  • *gets hit in the eye by shell* OW MY EYE

  • Fingerbanging a glock lol.

  • Nice vid, thanks man.. One question, It that your land your shooting on? If not, are you just allowed to go out and shoot where ever you like? And, how do you approach the safety of others around you if that is the case? OK turned out to be more than one.. Thanks again, keep postin bro..

  • 2:02-2:06 Notice how the rain drop hits right as he shoots, haha

  • dude do a drop shot :D

  • 1:12-1:14 haha rofl

  • @mistermateriel I was just about to comment the same thing but scrolled down and saw this

  • @mistermateriel i know

  • lol at 1:14

  • /watch?v=MG8Zp6kmDRQ

Concealed handgun permit holders don't protect people, they kill them.

  • @KillAllGuns guns prevent 3 to 5 times the number of crimes they are used in

  • @BALJIT147 hes right why rob someone if u dont no wheter hes carrying a gun or not

  • @guy4066 your saying the guy who calls himself killallguns is right?

  • @BALJIT147 no im not i shoot im saying tht people should have the right to own guns because people are more reluctant to commit crimes if someone could have a gun

  • OMFG, i could go to sleep to this video, rain and gunshots, so relaxing :)))

  • great vid, I especially like watching the shock wave hit the drops on the camera lens at 2:00and beyond :)

  • what rounds are you using?

  • Comment removed

  • @B00MKamiKAZE well that's not a very nice thing to say :T

  • Coat pocket, weird way to carry a gun.

  • @GavsterBarnham

actually, it's a great way to carry a smaller back up gun. i used to carry a S&W Model 642 or a Keltec P3AT in my coat pocket during the winter. i would go to the range and practice shooting through my pocket, with an old coat i was throwing away anyway. it's faster than having to draw from a belt holster if it's freezing outside.

  • he looks like he lost weight..good job dude!

  • practice, practice ok , but what are you practicing for ?

If you are practicing for when 'that' situation comes and some idiot is drawing a gun/knife at you in a park /parking lot / street/in front of your house ....

then you should practice when stress level is higher imo .

Or if this was practice for another reason , just to get the feel of shooting in rain , then OK :)

but this is not practice for high stress situation.

    keep the vids coming :)

  • haha u fingered the gun jk u rock keep then coming

  • it was kinda funny how u flicked da shell of ur arm lol XD

  • This is sooo not iligal

  • i would love to get into balisongs, i watched most of your reviews on the different type. but im 16...and my parents would KILL me if they found i had one haha.

  • I have a feeling that when rain suddenly falls on you you won't have googles, a coat and sound protection at hand :p

  • lol 1:10 fingerbanging the magwell

  • Thank you for fingering your gun for safety purposes.

  • thats one of the guns in gta 4

  • @pooskie91 #LOL of course a video gamer. I just loveeeeeee video game references..........Not #FAIL

  • Can u do a gun collection update????????

  • @xnickx29 Lol

Bro you really just need to practice in good weather.

You hit your target like 2-3 per clip.

  • you didn't want to take your Rock Island out in the rain? That would be a cool video. Maybe next time.

  • @texastitansyahoocom last gun was my RIA, notice the 8 shots a bit bigger than the other shots

  • thats cool

  • Also need practice to shoot without any protection. Its realy different when shooting rapid fire first time without ears and eyes protection, you will be slower.

  • @RussianVitamines

Shot once without hearing protection, was no slower. I'd recommend against this, the sacrifice of your hearing for such an endeavor is just not worth it.

  • @illogicalmethod Just saying... Saw some peoples get scared after i gave them to shot my gun, even they were going to the shooting range several times before. We never use them outside, becouse its only one legal place to shoot are ranges, and "we need to hear if somebody is coming from behind"... Outside is not that bad as in basement. Once i shot my mak inside abandoned water tover, that was bad idea lol

  • @RussianVitamines

lol, chalk that as a no go in the future? Ha.

There are some good hearing devices out now that will cancel out the shooting, but let you hear other, lower decibel sounds. Might be a better investment...

As for me, the shooting without hearing protection was too much.. I didn't recover full hearing for about 3 days..... The ringing inside my head drowned out phones almost!

  • ahhh, i love how the rain makes cracking sounds

  • Hey,Benchmade realease the new monochrome, looks great, you should check it out.

I know you are a monochrome fan!

  • haha notice the flash on the raindrops on the lens!

  • What glock/caliber are you shooting?

  • 4:02

  • Comment removed

  • Great advise!!! I like shooting in the rain because the range is always less crowded :)

  • Cool how the raindrops on the camera lens vibrate from the shock with every shot..

  • Can you talk about concealed carry jeff? I want to know because of what happened at the Iowa state fair

  • cool stuff, good thinking too. i've shot several times in the rain. on your glock... it appears that the extractor has been polished or replaced with a stainless one. never seen that before.

  • Why do people always use those HUGE ear mufflers? I understand you need to protect your ears, but come on. You won't have those on when you need too use your gun is all I'm saying. Aren't there ear plugs or something for ear protection?

  • gotta love that pennsylvainia summer weather, hot, humid, and rainy!

  • you never give up

  • Nice Video, fun to watch

  • just a thought but wouldn't it be better to not drop a gun in the mud? I understand the reasoning behind the "drop test" but in the mud?

  • @omgublo if your gun cant handle that then get a glock!!!!

  • @Bassman018 Did I say it couldnt handle it? I dont believe I did. I mentioned a simple opinion, not the make, model, quality of any thing.

  • @omgublo I didn't see any mud on the gun and if there was mud he definitely cleans his guns regularly so it wouldn't matter.

  • @Sickshot12 My only point is theres probably a better place to drop the gun then on the wet ground. Thats just my opinion, theres no right or wrong lol

  • asa your shooting, you here a moan and watch an old man fall out the tree. =P hah nice video man, keep them coming

  • 4:03, shell hits tripod

  • im a member of a private range here in my home town thats usually pretty packed when i go but i have a dirty little secret! the damn place is empty when it rains not a soul there! i has a shelter and everything you could ask for but for some odd reason noone goes when its inclimate weather so thats usually when i like to go because im the only one out there

  • holdin ur glock like that ur gonna git a snake bite try a m9 there sick

  • -- If it ain't rainin' -- you ain't trainin'! -- Thanks for sharing!

  • send me a cheap balisong please ^.^

  • Do you have many steel targets?

  • What about practicing without ear protection? That's one thing you could count on not having in a "real" situation.

  • @DavidofThe

Don't need to practice without hearing protection and it'd be stupid to do so........ If you destroy your hearing you might just destroy any chance of actually defending yourself. If you use the right hearing protection it won't get in the way or make that much(if any) difference.

  • trying to hit 1000 vids asap i assume?

  • Really Jeff? It took you THREE flicks to get the shell off? You are slipping man. xD

  • Is a droptest really necessary?

  • 2:34 bug fail XD

  • im wondering i live in australia i have some family in europe there was a really kool zippo over there in europe that i wanted but i couldnt get. can my family member send me it threw the mail to australia from europe

  • @reysaint1 and your barrel pointed in the right direction

  • *flicks hot shell*

no big deal, Jeff is the equivalent to a terminator.

  • Come on Jeff.....How do you miss every shot with a 1911?......I'm just messing with you...lol

  • L&ML

  • @reysaint1 Im glad I dont shoot a musket

  • @cutlerylover lmfao!!!!!! nah jeff you just pour the powder down the barrel with a few stones, instant win!

  • kool vid jeff how would that Glock ride in an iwb holster? too bulky?

  • @TheFirearmsChannel never tried that, maybe some day, haha

  • the sound of rain dropping is soo soothing....

  • This video needs to be in 3D. And retitled "why you should know which side to stand on when someone is shooting"

  • Good call Jeff, I need to take my 19 out next time it's raining.

  • 4:02-4:06 what's the chance that 2 casings in a row would hit the tripod lol

  • a little gun porn on 1:12 lol

  • Ahhh yes.

    The ol'1911 model....love'em

    mmmmmm....1911's *droooool*

  • i wish i knew how to takethat little segment of u fingering ur gun and make it a display picture or something

  • The gun is like "Why are you doing this to me ? I love you !"

  • you should do a stress test with the 1911 (cover in mud, dirt)

  • @aquosman99 Yes I would like to see a video of a stress test also, take the gun to the limit. 1911 would be my preferred weapon of choice as a sidearm. Great take down power. Great vid

  • better clean the gun afterwards

  • Excellent Video! I have been wanting to do this also. Shoot underwater too. Thanks for sharing, very cool to see it still goes BANG!!

  • @thecajunblaze yeah good to know!

  • Jeff i dont mean to hate but why are you wearinf eag muffs and goggles if your praticeing you wont have them in real life if you needed the gun so you should pratice without them just sayin

  • @JPLlewellyn I cannot explain how much of an idiot you sound like.

  • @JPLlewellyn I have taken a few shots without muffs and goggles before when I was new to guns, once case was I was shopotign my 1911 when it was new, had all my gear then found 5 rounds in my pocket so instead of putting it all back on I just loaded up and shot, so I know what its like to shoot without it, the proble,m is its not only loud its painfull and it WILL ruin your hearing for life if you shoot constantly without ear muffs...you will go def, I love guns but I love my hearing more

  • You won't see anyone doing drop tests with 1911's hehe

  • @88arau lol dont make me do more gun videos, hahaa, I ahve seen them from normal heights its safe supposedly it fails after 19 feet or something, I hate to do abuse tests though this was a once in a blue moon thing...

  • Nice vid, you make a good point about shooting in inclement weather. Just because you can shoot on a nice sunny day doesn't mean you will be able to get rounds on target in 100+ degrees with sweat running into your eyes and sweaty hands. Or freezing cold wearing gloves and your breath obscuring your target. You should look into a Kodak Zi8. It has alot of cool features. I'm bugeting to get one for myself.

  • @oyarrito I went shootign on a 98 degree day it was awful, my glasses were all fogged up the sweat literaly poors into your eyes the gun is slick, its not easy at all, have yet to shoot in freezing weather, only got a few days last winter to shoot..

  • @cutlerylover Just going to say last year when I was up in Ohio we went on a night shoot and it was -14 ! with a lot of wind and snow...that was by far the hardest to me because your hands were so numb you couldn't even feel the rifle or pistol much less the trigger...

  • Very good tip! Also try, One handed shooting and drawing(both hands), shooting to cover while running, and more rapid fire because that would you really going to have to do.

  • Hey I really think you should check out Dealextreme the got great lighter prices.

  • Thank you, I never really thought of that...

  • this video is so relaxing :)

  • @SkillerNerd

    Ha funny...

  • Hey Cutlery what size circle target head did you get on the evil roy? 6 8 10 or 12"

  • @patriotsnfl1 12" I plan to shoot it with my AK and mosin when I get more ammo...at 100 yards the plate will be fine, its the upograded 550 armor steel

  • Lol last mag a few of the shells hit the camera

  • What gun r u usein and how many round mages does it hav

  • @dudeweirdo99 1st guhn is a glock 17 it has a 17 round mag I added a +2 baseplate to it so I have 19 rounds or 9mm, the second gun is a RIA 1911 that holds 8 rounds of 45acp

  • Lol 1:11 *fingers gun*

    & 2:31 "Damn Shell" *flicks*

  • lol @ 1:12 i always give that signal to the ladies lol xD JK

  • Jeff. A Man Of No Words.

  • Good video, but the sound of the rain is SO FREAKING IRRITATING!!!!

  • Great Video , You Broke the sites on the drop test ? Were you shooting different bands of ammo .

  • @krazy45cat thias video was posted after but filmed pre concrete test...since the concrete test I fixed the sights they look dead on, but I wont know until I shoot again

  • @cutlerylover Jeff everybody knows about glocks , Not real sure about the trigger you put in . But don't do that again ! You have nothing to prove to anyone . Don't let people get to ya over that crap again . Thats like jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge because some one said you wouldn't :(

  • You are absolutely right Jeff, you don't get to choose when something bad is going to happen, it probably won't be sunny and 70 degrees out with low humidity and no wind like when you go to the range normally. Thanks for the videos!

  • the way you hold your gun is wierder to me cus i hold my dads sig saur with a bend in my arm because i cant lock my arms fully and it is more comfortable it sounds dangerous but its only dangerous if i use a high caliber pistol right...please respond

  • @alexmini123 some will tell you how to hold your gun there are many ways to hold it safety, but it doesnt matetr what vcaliber your using just dont hold it close to your face, whatever is most com fortable for you will be fine

  • @cutlerylover and my dad bought the sig saur for about 500 dollars is that a rip off or a deal in canadian dollars

  • @alexmini123 Sig Sauer....for 500 Canadian? Unless it was in real bad condition, that's actually quite a deal.

  • @illogicalmethod yeah it was quite a deal im guessin sporting goods allwe had to do was replace the spring and trigger cus it was broken but it is perfect

  • @cutlerylover Quick question, do you have a kabar? or a kukri? Their my fav fixed blade ever.

  • @eas26

    he has everything...known to man

  • @Sherb3rts Ummmm, no, he doesent, its entirely possoible that he doesnt have one, or hasnt had one. Dont be retarded

  • rain keeps that ejected brass nice and cool won't stick or burn nylon wind/rain gear very serendipitous ;) you're correct in your practice theory.now if i was only a good enough shot to duck hunt with a pistol.

  • Comment removed

  • @mxf7010g8k is that a verb

  • @nodillinger i hit cancel after noticing the other two comments but youtube failed me again.

  • @mxf7010g8k just goofin sir no chaffing intended :]

  • @nodillinger no problem man.

  • hey jeff just for fun, can you make a video of shooting with the gun pointed sideways with one hand? lol

  • I've shot in the rain it is a pain in the ass though cause all your gear gets wet :(

  • cutlerylover:

How right you are. From time to time I will head out to the range in the rain for the purpose of checking how the conditions affect my firearm, my shooting, etc. I wear glasses and that is an issue. I have learned to use either rainx or a similar product to help with that. My Kahr's aggressive stippling is not liked by some but it is a tight grip in the rain and the rain has no effect on functioning. Likewise, I don't miss a chance to do either hot or cold weather drills.

  • rain sounds like crackling bacon grease

  • why was'nt you at vidcon u have a great channel?

  • Hey I love the sound of the rain.

  • i heard rain is bad for cameras
