nice, since baby they do the things that belongs to older geese, take a look at my geese swimming in the pool, exactly the same !!!! Mother nature teaches
They're pretty darn cute. I'm just now starting to learn that people keep a number of different birds (that I assumed wild) can actually be kept as pets. Geese would make good pets since they follow you around everywhere and are very social. But I think, for now, I'll stick with my two parakeets. :)
Also remember Geese are very social so if you only have one please spend lots of time with it, or it could die of loneliness. My sister is an aviarian and told us that could happen if one of ours died. She said we would know because it would stop eating. Hope this helps.
My wife and I raised two to full maturity and let them go a local college pond, it took a while for them to make friends with the other geese, but once they did it was great, we would go back for weeks to visit before they went away. We fed ours bird seed until they were 10inches tall or so and then duck feed.
Well you can go to any farm supply store..like Atwoods or any of them really...and tell them you have a baby gosling and that you need Chick Feed...that is what they told me to feed them and they love it...they are messy and need to stay warm...use a heat light on one area and leave a cool no light area..hope this helps good luck...poor little guy...hope he gets better.
They're just baby geese, they're a part of nature, they should be outside with other geese, I just feel like by keeping them domestic we're ruining something great.
Wow, I can think of so many more worse things that could happen to these goslings but if that's the biggest thing you have to worry about, you're pretty lucky.
Then you shouldnt've posted your original comment months ago lol. Saying what you did of course is just gonna spark arguments. But okay, i'm not in the mood to either. :)
Baby geese are so beautiful. I loved raising my two babies! One died though =( But the male grew up to be strong and healthy. Now he roams around my yard, constantly honking. I love him ^_^ It's always best to keep Geese outdoors in a open area with bodies of water around so they can swim and relax. I wish I had a farm so that he had more space, but my yard pretty big at least. All my goose is missing is a female companion. Hope your babies are healthy and having a good life =)
There was only 2 of them an YES I did study up on them before we even got them. NO they were not taken from their mother I would never do such a thing. They were boughten from a farm supply store. The water was no that deep. And there were never in there alone. They are out on a farm and are very happy. Thank you for your time and concern but trust me they are well taken care of.
@GooseGoddessS how do you rehabilitate a canadian goose miss goosegadess ? lol. ur a retard iv had 70 of them over the years and they aways come to my house in the country and lay eggs in the spring which i steel 10 of them and hatch them out and raise them as pets. they are the most loving pets. and in the fall they have learned to fly and go off and find a mate and return to my yard in the spring. Its a never ending cycle which i love. Rehabilitate my ass. you must be a peta slim
@GooseGoddessS Hey i got a good idea goose bitch why dont you kiss my ASS. kinda hard to steal whats in my yard dip shit. as far as my spelling who gives a shit. you must of understood it enough to reply right. the world full of crazy crap and i should feel bad about loving geese lol. get a life peta scum
@kncklesandwich here's good idea. How about I give you a REAL knuckle sandwich, maybe turn your brain cells in proper working order. You say you LOVE geese moron? REALLY? let me spell it out SIMPLE for you then. "Wild" geese have a less likely chance to run into stupid "humans" who would like harm them than "tame" ones. You think everyone loves geese? No, STUPID! there are plenty who kill them for FUN, SPORT, and eat them too! If you Love them, why are you shortening their life span MORON?
@GooseGoddessS lol my geese were bought at a feed store. But i do in the country and i have a federal license my male and female canadian if thats makes you feel better miss game warden. isnt there other things you can be doing than policing youtube for goose violaters, get a life MORAN.
@kncklesandwich You need some serious meds for your schizophrenia! First you say you STEAL eggs, now you buy them at the feed store? You need to smack your momma hard for your stupidity. Btw, MORON, YOU started this conversation with me, remember? or is your brain THAT LOW on brain cells? What you need is a visit to my clinic to see the HARM stupid people like you have done to 100's geese -you know, the people who "don't THINK" they are causing any harm with their idiotic behavior and fake love.
@GooseGoddessS Well im going to pull my " MAN CARD" on this 1 and say why dont you be a good little woman and learn to shut ur big mouth. Like most chics you think it makes you look smart to run ur trap and go on and on and get the last word, God must have given 3 more brain cells than a cow that you shit and piss on ur self. Maybe in ur next life you can be reincarnated as a goose and be part of the food chain... lol
@kncklesandwich Wow! That was your "Man Card"??? lol Not much of a "man", are you? Not much of a human being either, with the idiotic comments you make displaying your uneducated behavior and lack of logic which needs some serious meds!
Cheer up though! I think you are a shining example and the perfect advocate for "women's rights to abortion".
So you see? You're not completely useless after all :)

I truly hope you have means of providing for these goslings. I also hope they were not STOLEN from their parents.
These animals are meant to be wild, and have very special needs. They are NOT toys to play with!
NEWS FLASH, they CAN get cold, they can even drown!
They require a special diet and lots of space.
Domesticating them means they can never be released into the wild.
What's gonna happen when they get older??
Will you discard 2 them when they're no longer cute?
This is wrong, and SAD!

@kncklesandwich how nice of you to "steal" wild goose eggs (which is against the law btw)
Learn how to spell, go back to school and earn an education so you can understand the meaning
of "willful harm" along with some morals, ethics and values before you attempt to make a bigger idiot out of yourself with comments like these.
