There was another gesture separating "us" from "them" which was totally missed by these guys. It is considered really rude to touch somebody on his shoulder like seen at 2:28 and 2:32. (you take some sort of power from them). Athough these white people were interested to interpret gestures they totally failed on that one. Furthermore, these Beami understood and replied in Pidgin (meri, pikinini, I kam) so they couldn't have been so isolated as stated in the video. Nevertheless, very interesting.

Sure, I spent 1/2 year in total among different tribes in Papua Niugini (1994, 1999, 2005), living and eating among them, learing their lingua franca (pidgin), beliefs and habits, while studying the usage of sorcery related plants. It was the most wonderful time of my life and the most exciting one for sure. Greetings, Amontaiyagala ("DreamMan" or diviner in Fore language).
