  • THIS FUCKING SONG IS LIKE A SEXY ASS STEAM ENGINE IN THE NIGHT RUNNING OVER RAPISTS AND CHILDREN WITH NO PREJUDICE

  • @xalener u mad bro? :D

  • @TheDeIirium

    REALLY GODDAMN HAPPY

  • @xalener ohhh yea, you mad.

  • @TheDeIirium

Nah, seriously dude, I love this god damn song.

  • @xalener Excuse accepted. Altho i saw a tear in your eye... and i love the taste of your tears.

  • I hear some thick shades of Led Zeppelin in this. Only makes it sweeter.

  • The original name of this song is, "Wicca". That's why the intro talks about the Rule of Three, one of the most importants wiccan's precepts.

  • This song makes my sorrow more deeper but I can't stop listening because it's awsome

  • @haveyoueverseenmyass u worded my same thoughts perfectly. i could never explain that feeling.

  • The end is the best...silence.

  • banda britânica com intro em português? o.O

  • @rafaeldick7 pelo visto não sabe nada de musica querido;

  • that's how it ends? O....O Mooooooooree

  • Its no question that this song is phenomenal and influencial, but it must be said that that is one badass picture of Beth Gibbons ^_^

  • bon dia

  • Você só ganha o que você merece.

  • Ótima música, adorei esse começo em português o/

  • This music is strong, too strong. It makes you shut everything around and concentrate on the song only. I love it!

  • I think the end is freakin perfect. Completely unexpected the first time you hear it, driving urgent beat then just literal Silence...Leaves you empty wanting more. I think the end does what it was supposed to. AMAZING! And real darkness not that surfacy emo dark or theatrical goth dark, just raw & real.

  • Não esperava ouvir um brasileiro falar no início da música.

  • @dandanchaparral bem dessa, eu achei que era essa publicidade do youtube..

  • Everything is perfect except the end part

  • Fuck i hate the end...

  • Brisol karma is bullshit unlike Portishead .

  • Where is the rest of the song?? Cant end like this can it?

  • @alubitchescrol 'Fraid so! This is how it ends on the album, a cutting and sudden Silence.

  • technically, the time sig of this song is in a slow 15/4, sweet, the bass is prfct, as well as cello/guitar at the ending.

  • love portishead saw them at glastonbury 95 thanks for this post

  • é parcero, é a regra do 3!

  • Wow! Beth Gibbons!

  • @WorshipTheCreature I know, right?!

  • The percussion is fantastic.

  • odd, sad, but compelling

  • @Lizardking270 Everything Portishead stands for :')

  • This music just blows my head off XD it penetrates and crushes my brain, great music )

  • That noise in the background that starts at 2:33... I always thought it was my computer xD No matter how many times I listen to it, or even if I'm listening to it on my PSP, I start thinking "Oh shi- my computer's overheating!"

  • GET IT CAUSE IT ENDS IN SILENCE AHAHAH OH WOW

  • i hate how it cuts out at the end, always makes me think my speakers have broken

  • Like a chase scene from a mindfuck of a film.

  • It's funny, Portuguese isn't such of a worldwide language but I keep hearing demos and samples of it all over the music industry, and it's not Portugal Portuguese, it's Brazilian Portuguese.

  • @pkLipe HAHA we're winning space i guess! xD

  • @pkLipe such as? besides portishead...

  • this song is haunted.

  • Fucking epic!!!

  • @10Ammar AMEN

  • I'm a native speaker of Portuguese. The way he says this sentence sounds so trustful to me.

This is an undeniable truth of our universe.

Did you know when you lost?

Did you know when I wanted?

Did you know what I lost?

Do you know what I wanted?

When we lose something we don't know, we never know when we lose, what we lose or what we really wanted.

Undefined situations causes too much pain.

  • love it...

  • Wow. This is the song to my life.

  • i kinda miss their old hip-hop-ish style

  • @skateNappreciate True, that trip hop thing had this deep meditative quality.

  • karmas a nice idea but clearly bullshit

  • somebody translate the beginning please?

  • @minkaworks

Be alert for the rule of three

what you give, will return to you

    This lesson you must learn

You only get what you deserve

  • Muito interessante.. ;D~

    Great song!

  • Just like in Radioheads latest album the drums have kicked it up into overdrive. I love this direction!

  • @anava84 Yeah, the song Bloom at first listen reminded me this song

  • Thanks!

    I checked it out:

The verse spoken by Claudio Campos (a Capoeira master who teaches in Bristol) is an adaptation of The Threefold Law - 'Heed and beware the Rule of Three: three times thy acts return to thee'. It's an old Wiccan precept about reaping what you sow.

    Interesting, isn't it?

  • that is very cool. thanks for looking it up. Very scary... I've done alot of bad things. The music makes me very aware...

  • no it isn't you kunt

  • @glaubercostabrito AHgh . Wicca bollocks . . I'm a kabbalist . . Notice no capitals . . you quote bollocks . . How can someone from teaching a south american fighting form quote something that i s inherrantly european . . Ithink you are confused. . . . oh by they way just like you I don't believe in god

  • @hyram52

Although the wiccan quotes wrong, have you thought of the idea of Portishead giving him something to read out on the mic?

I mean I know its a mind blowing idea that something like that could happen but It can.....

  • @glaubercostabrito did your homework eh? congrats for the translation! sarava!
