    LFC BABY !!!!

  • Your getting this hit because your owners are in the process of purchasing Liverpool Football Club. Welcome to the family Red Sox!

  • Oh, that looks like fun.

  • @ensignbeedrill Who knows maybe there will be another video when we all get together for the last game of the season next Sunday.

  • @slip39 :) I was just watching a couple of different videos of "Sweet Caroline" at Fenway. Definitely my kind of thing, and I'll have to find a way to catch a game up there some time.

  • their WS titles made everyone a Sox fan

  • wats the green monster???? is it not just a stand

  • no it a part of the stadium were u can sit

  • you lucky bastards !!!!-sittin' that close to the green monster !!! maybe one day I can be there !!

  • i am so going to fenway to sing this song and if they sing Tessie that will make my life

and that dude looks like a blonde johnny pap

  • i want to move to boston, the sox, celts, cheers it has to been the greatest city in the world

    lol

but seriousley you wont have more fun in anyother city. well maybe las vegas but go to a sox game or a celtics game and youll have fun!

    haha only kidding.

  • LOL. That is what i thought! and Pedroia in the hood behind him!

  • I miss Boston. Ms. Las Vegas.

  • God help me, I love the Sox so much.

  • not more than i do... and if it is some how possible that you do ... god help you! i do not think i could possibly ever love anyone as much as i love this team!

the drunken singing in this cracks me up.

  • i love red sox fans

  • this song is basic, i wish u all came to a European football match (soccer-MLS) then u would realise wa a real buz is, like Manchester united vs arsenal, then u would understand. btw i do like watching MLB

  • I wish USA sports had good chants like in Europe. I guess this is as good as it gets in the States :l Maybe one day!

  • i wish i lived in boston, all sports teams are champions, i live in vancouver, where baseball is like a foreign language

  • This isn't a GOOD answer, but it's because it works. If they played it and no one recognized it or sang with it, it would be gone by now. Someday people will get tired of it, and they'll try something else. But, as long as times are good at Fenway, I think people will continue to sing it.

  • @slip39 i think another reason why they play it is because when the song ends, you can't purchase anymore alcohol....i don't know if this is true but i've been told that a few times and i've tried buying alcohol after that and they say no

  • But why this song?

  • This has to be the coolest thing EVER.

They sing it in the 8th or 9th inning? I've tried to listen for it when I watched a Red Sox game on TV.

  • 8th.

  • it is really cool

    the entire stadium sings it

    really fun

  • Hey, they were intermittently in tune. Thumbs up!

  • Nice singing Homie =)

Neil Diamond is the man!!! =0

  • There is one guy in here who looks like a guy near the end of the Red Sox Nation song video. Blessings!

  • Why do Red Sox fans sing Sweet Caroline, whats the story behind that?

  • It's like their unofficial anthem. I guess it's because Neil is a big fan of the Red Sox and that's their way of honoring him. I heard he's performing it at Fenway Park this year! How exciting!

  • I think Neil is a big fan of anyone who plays his music for thousands of people to hear. Still, it's great he's aware of this bizarre tradition, and wants to feed the fever with a concert. I'd gladly pay about half face value for a ticket just to be part of it. He's an excellent songwriter and performer, but not really a favorite.

  • I think the real story is, the person who plays the organs. They always liked Neil Diamond. So one day during a game, that person plays it in between the top and bottom of the 8th. Low and behold, everyone sang along to it and it had a great reaction. Now they play it every single game at that exact time. And they cut the music for the "bom bom bom" and the "So good, so good, so good". And even sometimes for the entire chorus they don't play the music and the entire stadium sings along.

  • GO RED SOX!!!! :)

  • yyyyyyyyyyyyyoooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkk

  • y do they play this song at fenway anyway?

  • They play it because people will sing it and have a good time with it. People who are having a good time will spend more money, and come back often to spend even more money.

Did you want and answer, or were you just here to be annoying? I'm here to be annoying. I delete comments I don't like just for fun because I can.

  • Classic!

  • 18-1

  • that was the pats you tard.. get your sports straight.

  • Oh, I didn't get that. I thought they meant to say 17-1. That was the score the Yankees lost to the Red Sox by TWICE in 2005, home and away. You can look it up.

  • Was that Youk's dad at 00:34 haha

    wicked beard

  • wow the guy right near the camera looks like youk!

  • Seriously, why comment on the vid?

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!

  • RED SOX ROCK MY SOCKS!!!!

  • goooooooooooooooo sox!!!

  • there probly as hammered as can be

  • Let me think...

Nah, most of us could still stand.

On the other hand, the sitting ones may have had less to drink.

Either way, it was early in the season, and there was still plenty of time to get it right.

Enjoy your holiday season, and stay safe, whatever you celebrate. My wife and I are still celebrating a championship, so our Christmas came early.

  • hahaha

  • Nothing is better. :)

  • Boston Red Sox, 2004, and 2007 World Series Champions.

  • i enjoyed the disclaimer, and i love this video regardless.

    "it's like the national anthem"

  • WORLD SERIESS CHAMMPPSSS BABBBYY!!! BOSOX!! <3 My homeee<3

  • this was a fabulous video although i enjoyed the disclaimer

  • Woot! This brings back so many memories. I remember singing this at Fenway during 2004 World Series. I would touch my girlfriend's chest whenever we got to "TOUCHING YOU"

  • Yeah, that Youk look-alike is my boss! Rock on, Ralph! Go Sox!

  • haha it looks like Kevin Youk.

  • hahahaa your so fucking wasted

  • This video makes me feel all fuzzy inside, because I was at opening day this year too. =D

  • Clay Buchholtz, No hitter in his 2nd ever major league game. 23 years old and this guy is the real deal !!! 9 k's no hits GO SOX GO CLAY , I hope Terry has the sense to keep you in the rotation!!!

  • What a strange tradition. But it's a baseball tradition so there's nothing wrong with that. Wish we had some cool traditions here in Detroit but all we get are lame ass trivia contests and that horrible Dunkin' Donuts race--EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Yeech!

  • hahahahaha those guys are beauties

  • hahah nice...that guy looks like Youk

  • im a sox fan from HI and have gone to see several sox games at fenway and dont understand why they do it. can someone fill me in?

  • its a tradion it makes tha difference from Sox fans from all the other teamz

  • Like from teams like o say the Mets?

  • Guy in the red coat to the right looks like Kevin Youkillis.

  • the one with the beard looks like Youk

  • i know right

  • The Red Sox had no 8th-inning song before this, they're trying to emulate the Yankees when they sing "New York, New York". No one does it better like at Yankee Stadium.

  • Jeez, ya blew the most obvious jab a Yankee fan could give. Neil Diamond is from NY. Ah, well, you work at that, and get back to me.

I guess I should expect much from the fan of a team that hasn't won a championship in 7 years.

  • hahah NICE slip!

  • SOX!!

  • must have been awesome time! doesn't matter if you good at singing or not.
