I will say this...many cats hate getting a bath but many cats also hate: declawing, going to the vet, being picked up when they don't feel like it, not getting fed all day long. Cats are independent but you have to teach them to give a little.

don´t fotget to take out everything close to the bath, like bottles etcone of my cats once hurted himself with one and I had to call the veterinary ... oh, and don´t switch the tap on, a bath itself is scary enough for cats, but taps scare the hell out of them, it´s about getting the cat clean, not creating a traumatic experience, or at least trying to reduce the trauma ;) . You don´t do bad anyways.
