@Wrongway1965 if im not mistaking the WW2 model didnt have the drum barrel or the forward grip which correct me if im wrong is the M1A1, though i prefer the regular Tommy Gun cause the grip reduces the recoil/kick and for better handling plus the drum carries more(i think)

Man, seeing this video makes me want a Tommy Gun even more then I already do. Tommy Guns are awesome. I've liked them ever since I saw the movie Dick Tracy years ago. The round magazine was for me the best part. That and the fact that it seemed like this gun was invincible. I've watched this video and other videos of a BAR, and it seems to me that a Thompson is faster firing, is it? My goal is to get a Tommy someday.

you handled the recoil well, and this is what i expect to happen, so why is it that the tommy gun gets a lot of heat for being hard to control? i see you already have the compensator on to help push it down, but i still dont see how it could cause someone to veer off target uncontrollably. same with the ak47...

You're right. .45 ACP is a pretty gentle round as it tends to "push" rather than "snap" like .40 S&W or .357 magnum. The Tommy Gun - especially with the "gangster grip" and Cutts Compensator - has very moderate recoil. M1928 variations weigh nearly 15 pounds loaded, which really helps. However it did have "lots" of recoil compared to the heavy, slow-firing 9mm SMGs of the period like the MP-18. Dumbass filmmakers thought that this meant "impossible to control."
