  • You don't have to apologize for that playing! You nailed it.

  • look like the young reed

  • very good!

  • stupid good. I wish I could!!

  • could you please do a lesson on this ? I haven't been able to find any

  • VERY COOL !!!!! what an album !!

  • wow, this is awesome!! i would really love to learn how to play this song, it's one of my favorites. Do you think you could post the tab for it somewhere?

  • most underrated guitar solo ever, great rendition!

  • I have been playing away at that intro for months and can't do it as well as you, man. Well done.

  • @stiv1973

if a beginner like me wants to play it do you know parheps a way how to learn it?

by ear isnt possible jet :P All i need are some good tabs, time and the strumming pattern of a life time

  • is it DDAGGADDAGGAD?

  • do you have the tabs for this?

  • I agree. You're on the right path and well on your way. Just keep it up.

  • It's fantastic that you're playing real music as opposed to doing what all the idiot "shredders" are doing. For incredible vibrato, check out Paul Kossoff.

  • TABS PLEASE!!! btw you're great!!

  • nice job kid, and you have great taste in music for someone your age - keep on rockin !

  • That was pretty darn good!

  • Cool! what were the amp settings/pedals?

  • Ok, I would like a lesson like your description says. You have truly done a great job considering how young you are and whatnot and I really do think this is the highest quality Sweet Jane on youtube.

  • Please don't cringe, this reflects a fine job on your part back then, better than most. It can be clearly seen you were headed in the right direction and I'm certain you gained even more ground with good habits. Keep going, you show great promise!!

  • Also, I just checked, and you are correct in using C Major Pent Scale in the 5th position. Compliments to your instructor. I would have missed that completely if I hadn't seen your vid. Thx

  • Your technique is on the right track, good job. Lean how to control the length of your vibrato so you can hold it steady nice and long. Go watch a professional guitarist you admire and study what he does with his left hand. By duplicating solos like that, you are definitely on the right track. Keep at it!!

  • @SMart7751 Thanks, i completely agree n i am cringing watching this vid again at some of my bends and me trying to put vibrato on pretty much every note, then sliding down the neck 1893 times...but i hope hearing this and thinking its out of place means my playing n vibrato has improved in the past coupla years..lol

  • @vaialation1232

Great job. I just started playing about 5 months ago and the FIRST thing I wanted to learn was the riff to this song. I would really appreciate if you did a lesson on the intro. There is no info anywhere for it and you play it so well.

  • A SCALE START?

    5TH FRET?

  • your version varies from hunter/wagner a bit, but it sounds GREAT!

  • theres a guitar pro tab of this on ultimate guiitar

  • Just the timing is a bit off, PLAY THE LES PAUL PLEASE :) :P

  • brilliant stuff dude!!! wish i could play like that, did u use tabs on that one?

  • Nice job Check out revival at killemeyers doing the whole song

  • great solo. Anyone know where to get the tab! keep working man its great.

  • awesome man...keep old rock alive......

please post the whole beginning when u get it down...wish i could play as good as you...i just don't have it ...keep up the good work

  • great playing and you still have the best part ahead of you, the one that starts after the main riff sets in and goes on until Lou starts singing. For me that's solo is the textbook of full-throttle rock 'n roll guitar playing.

  • Did you make a .tab file of this? I've searched all over, and you are the only person who has captured the solo I've found.

  • Up in the top 10 favorite guitar solos of all time, and you do it justice.

don't suppose you made a .tab file for this...?

  • great stuff! Did it take you long to work this one out? I love this song..

  • So cool that you play this kind of music. And you're right, there's not enough of this on the tube. You should ask your teacher to teach you all the cool Lou Reed songs, post 'em and I'll learn from watching you! Mabye a nice version of Coney Island Baby....

Anyway keep on rocking! You've got a nice Steve Hunter sound going on.

    Greetz from Holland

  • Thanks!

  • Nice job... When you learn the rest of it, put the complete version on youtube. You'll get alot of positive feedback, and well deserved too. I haven't seen anyone play this with the authenticity that you did.

  • Awsome playing dude...Rock On!!..Thanks for posting this, it's one of my favorite guitar solos.

  • You got it down, Dude! Stay with it, you're very good! I love the sound of your guitar...all that bite! Just stay with it!

  • Super playing of a great song

  • flawles dude !! exellent , you are my freind :)

  • Wow nicely played and i'm surprised a kid your age even knows this music. Check out other great Wagner/Hunter playing on early Alice Cooper albums. Rock on dude!

  • Thanks, yeah my dad and his friends listened to this and thats how i found it

  • Very very well played, mate!!. I'm about to put a video of me playing this intro someday :D.

  • nice!

  • Keep playing and learning and don't think you're above any music style. Stay away from Guitar Hero, you are on your way to becoming a real player. You've got ears to cop stuff, get some formal ed in harmony and theory and composition if you want to go further. Learn how to sing and play piano...helps! Great playing!! good luck.

  • This is one of my favorite pieces of guitarmusic ever and you just played it! And you played it marvellous! Thumbs up man!

  • Thanks!

  • Great. I'm just glad you know that song. I never get tried of it.

  • Good one. Check out my transcription on Ultimate-guitar tab site. It seems Steve's playing is experiencing a comeback in popularity.

  • excellent!

  • Dude when i was 15 i wish i knew what a guitar was , dont give up on your dreams , man you got something there.....

  • Thanks cesarvas!
