Really wish i could go to oregon and idaho, its funny because i was born in oregon and my grandparents live right next to the dunes and i have family in st. anthony. My dad and i go riding every weekend if there was only some way we could get out of el paso
i live in north carolina, but dont have a toy hauler or the money for diesel to get all the way out there, but i often go there and rent trx's or banshee's, still super fun even on a rental

Well I would say Winchester Bay is the best place to go. they have the biggest hills and some awsome trails!! Clean sand and Discovery Point Resort is a great place to stay and you can ride your bikes right from camp to the dunes! The best time is probably to go in June or July but the weather on the coast is unpredictable. If you want more of a desert style riding, head out to christmas valley, its a little dusty but my favorite place to ride in oregon. Tons of open dunes, lots of good jumps!

It blows their shutting down parts of Christmas Valley Oregon Sand Dunes.Winchster bay their shutting down a big area there tooo,Horsefalls in Coosbay same.

we are gonna be going there in two weeks and i had a question. ive never ridden sand like that before and i was wondering if you need a air filter cover designed for sand. on a dirtbike
@Alacoque3030 Well the sand in christmas valley is pretty dusty, so I would recommend putting an outwears pre-filter on your air filter or if you have a nice foam filter that will do just fine. K&N filters don't last long though without a pre-filter on them.. You will have a blast though, great trails, jumps, and scenery are every where out there!

We stay at Moses for that weekend and ride around there then shoot over to the event. Alot of fun, and depending on the conditions, it could be considered for advanced riders or/challenging at the least. Depending on how fast you want to go of course. Eastern washington terain lots of rocks. 2 stroke this year for me so that will be interesting. ktm 380mxc

Thank you! Glad you liked the vid.. well it all depends on the year of the quads. If you are buying new I would go with the YFZ, the new fuel injection is great! 04' and 05 both the TRX and the YFZ are great choices and 06' and 07' the YFZ had some suspension upgrades that beats out the TRX. Stock the YFZ has more power, but the HRC kit will wake up the TRX and give it the power it needs. So both are good quads, but it all depends on the year! any more questions feel free to ask!
True the LTR450 is a great quad. The fuel injection is great and very responsive! The LTR would probably be my pick for all years before the new YFZ450. They finally came out with fuel injection. Honda still does not offer a fuel injected 450 quad yet. So for new quads I would suggest either the YFZ450 or the LTR450!
@supervideo778 Well both in 06 and 07 the TRX450r and the YFZ450 had a lot of design changes and updates. The TRX had the thrust washer problem fixed and the YFZ fixed the electrical problem. Now for look i don't particularly like the new TRX body style, but looks don't affect performance. The YFZ in those years is lighter and has more suspension travel than the TRX and my buddy who has an 06 YFZ has had no major problems. I would choose the YFZ450 in those years!

the raptor 350 is a good bike it all depends if you are going sport or utility and where you will be riding, on the sand you want a light bike with power like a 450. if you want a utility on the sand get somehting like 500 or bigger. let me know if you have any other questions i'll be sure to help you out

If the footage seems choppy it's part of the editing.. those breaks in the video are hitting audio beats most laptop speakers won't pick up on the bass hits though so try external speakers will improve your cinematic experience..

what about the suzuk lt-450? It would stack up for sure against the yzf and trx, especially with the new wider axels and fuel injection!
