Have you ever had a adrenal cortisol saliva test done?
Most people have a underactive thyroid because they are suffering with adrenal exhaustion, fix the adrenals, thyroid will follow!
No point asking a conventional physicians they are not informed about it!
same as why most go to the dr's saying they are suffering with depression or anxiety, or people with bipolar disorder, they simply have adrenal fatigue.
I have had a difficult time with my hypothyroid problems too. People in my life don't understand what all this disease does to us! I have gained so much weight, depression, no energy, problems with my bones, dry skin, etc........ Some people w/ this disease aren't really bad. I too wish that more ppl would know just how bad hypothyroidism can actually feel!!!
hi my name is Stanislav. My tsh is 75.0 and i have a deeeeeeep depresion. The problem is that nobody can understant what "hell" is this problem....everybody is saying that i am a freek and that the depresion is from my head not from the thiroid.
@bostanxxl 75.0? my god! mine is 33.8 and i thought that was insane, i feel for you i really do! i found out about my hypothyroidism about 3 years ago and ive been fighting to get better ever since. don't listen to what people say and dont give up til u find someone who will help you get better
28yo TSH 3.6 10-15 lbs overweight and feel tired and depressed. No headaches though. I am freaking out here. anybody been through this b4? haven't been to the doctor yet i did my own serum at work
... a feeling of being responsible for and in control of my own health. Which is as it should be. Fresh, raw fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds and pure drinking water. It's the way forward. Good luck Brummie!
I admire your honesty. The older I get, the less respect I have for doctors. I have thyroid problems when I eat badly. When I get into juicing fruits and vegetables and eating as much raw stuff as I can (when I can afford it!) everything disappears- the heavy sleepiness, lethargy, depression, the bloateness, lack of energy, snappiness/moodiness and tears. I've even started driving to the coast once a week to pick seaweed to add to the fresh juice. No drugs, no doctors, no being fobbed off and
I was diagnosed 5 years ago. Had the weight gain, tiredness etc... I've taken Levothyroxine & it doesn't work. Use the "brand name" Synthroid & you will see better results. Note: you must take it on an empty stomach early in the morning with a full glass of water. Wait 2 hrs before eating. Do not skip doses & don't eat meals before bed b/c it can interfere with the med the next morning. Avoid dairy, calcium or antacids within 4 hours of taking the med. Regular exercise has definitely helped.
I have this I have just been diagnosed, I am only thirteen and I get killer headaches and I fall asleep really easily. I have just started on thyroxin. Hope I don't get any worse, it must be horrible for you, I feel really bad already, I know what you mean about the tiredness, my friends don't understand why I get really tired. No where near as bad as you, but it's bad for me, still.
Made me cry lol.I understand what your going through, but thing is I aint had a diagnosis yet,i've been getting symptoms for nearly 6 years.I went back to the doctor today and they are sending me for more blood tests next week, but she said sounds like a mild case of depression, how hilarius,i'm upset cos i've been feeling ill for so long.Doctors are a bunch of jack asses.
I really feel for you, I have thyroid cancer and have had a thyroidectomy and now waiting to have my radioiodine treatment so they have taken me off my thyroxine and I feel awfull. Try to relax, go on the sick if you can't cope with work and try to enjoy little things that you used to like. Thinking of you good luck Gwen
dude im verrry sorry 2 hear about ur Thyroid problem. i been having muscle pain, headecs, stress, deppession, tirdness, feeling sleepy, and for some reson high blood prseer. are u having any neck pain and blood prusser?? man doctors are ass holes they dont care. i went and got a blood test and i had low TSH. do u know wat that means?? on the other hand dont warry bro i think i have the same problem. we all feel ur pain!
@syrianguy20yrs TSH is thyroid stimulating hormone, it is from your pituitary gland in the brain. Maybe you should get the pituitary checked out, it seems that the problem is before the thyroid.
a thyroid problem is a horrible problem to have, but what i find worse than thyroid is the doctors they are all terrible. they have bad atitudes and they treat you like crap, and don't tell them you don't want to have surgery they flip and practically throw you out of herir office
i ot thyroid myself. im constantally tired, i been takin medicines for 2 years this comin march. im hyprothyroidisim. ive went from 135 to 178 and have almost all the syptoms. im moody alot sometimes but im on cymbalta and it puts me active and making me want to do stuff and when im not on it, im bitchy etc. ive always thought i was gonna die too so now im used too it, its just that i still have the mood swings and scare people away.
ive got an underactive thyroid and have had it for 8 years now .I'm 37 now and take thyroxine daily. I am a gym freak ! I think your situation is bad and i wish you all the best of luck with your future treatment. I had success, so don't give up.
@TheRealBigDredz hey i was wondering, i am getting tested for this and will probably get this med and wanted to ask u how long it takes before one starts to feel somewhat "normal" again
I didn't mean to be rude to you . I don't know you ,so i shouldn't have commented on your situation . My situation was similar to yours , but now i feel 100 %. I was just wanting viewers to see that treatment does work for some . I don't think you should beat yourself down though , as this will only make you feel worse . I hope you finally find the success with the treatment that i have . Goodluck
i am the same. been that way for 20 years. i have every symptom but they will only go by the blood test results. I have been suicidal over this. I can't even wash my hair at times I am so tired.
You need your FT4 and FT3 tested, and both should test in the high end of the normal range.
You also probably would feel well only if you are switched over to Armour Thyroid or Nature Thyroid (both raw dessicrated.......and NOT the lousy T4 synthetic Levothyroxine drugs).
Find another doctor, outside of your country's NHS. I am serious...YOUR LIFE IS WORTH IT !! (You do NOT have to live as a victim of your thyroid... you can get "natural" medication that works!!
I feel the same way...But I understand you. I look so different now, I just wanna go back. To all the people with the thyroid eye disease, I discovered a guy in India named Dr. Gupta...Google, cure for thyroid eye disease, and you'll find him...But I wanna know if it works before I buy it...It's 400.00 per three month treatment...God Bless to everyone, including me...
I'm new to posting so bear with me. I had to get private treatment due to the nhs prefering me to go away and live with it. I take armour thyroid and did take hydrocortisone to begin with to challenge my adrenals which work and I soon picked up after having 9 years of misery. The gps are in the dark and the endos in the nhs are very anti. watch your back
i have hashimotos thyroiditis and i have to take a pill everyday for the REST f my life! and sometimes i get depressed because JUST 8 MONTHS AGO I HAD A NORMAL LIFE and i just wishhhh i could have that back
same as me but i have hyperthyroidism and i have 2 take three pills a day i only got diognosed 3 weeks ago and im only 16. so on top of my shitty teenage life and the anxiety you get when your a teen is doubled and it effects my phisical apparence coz my eyes come and i get teased alot ;(
understand and it really gets me down, am the same as you when it comes to work an dppl in work , they dont have a clue and its ssooo hard, everything u said in the vid it was like it was me telling the same thing, will you let me know how the new medication goes?
hi the docs discovered i hade an underactive thiriod when i was 9 when i was sleeping all the time and was like a size 14 and never ate. ever since then its been down hill all the way, i hate the way ppl look at me in the street and i know whey are thinking fatty but they dont relise its a medical condition, am not lazy. i think i have learned only people with an underactive thiroid are able to understand what its like, ive been telling my partner for the last 5 years and he still does not
I have had underactive thyroid for 4 years also,i havn't had depression, but i.m 17st,and i am really fatigued, the doctors just don't get it just do they.
All the Docs do is continue upping the levothyroxine dose.
Keep your chin up mate,i am also a West Midlands lad.
I have been fully well on 140mcg of T3 which i got from a sympathetic private doc..then he got my NHS doctor to prescribe it and for 7 yrs i was free of being hypo..then the NHS doc last wk says i don't want you on this, i don't like this medication..I know its expensive because the market has been forcefully dominated with T4, driving T3 prices up..clearly due to it's expense...and the private doc seems to be washing his hands of me..i will commit su.icide if can't get this prescribed.
and yes, the doctors failure to treat us is due to ignorance, myth, arrogance and money driven interest to make T4 ( the biggest money maker for them)the only one stop solution..I think the NHS has destroyed and sent hundreds of thousands to their deaths prematurely/ through ill health or suicide..they abuse us and exploit us, while keeping us ill..50% of hypo's say the T4 which is pushed on them as the 'only' cure works not 1 %...fight these corrupt, ignorant, arrogant torturers.&join thyroiduk
T4's almost exclusively prescribed as the drug companies corruptly influenced mainstream medicine to prescribe this as the "only safe, effective and right thyroid medication"..when the actual truth is that it doesn't work for Most..T4 is the inactive hormone and many people with thyroid problems cant convert T4 to T3, in fact T3 is the active hormone and has been shown through listening to patient results, to be effective and work!yet the drug companies make doc's give T3 bad b-shit bad press!
It's almost like you were speaking for me. I'm on Levothyroxine. I tired most of the time. It is so frustrating that I start the day with big plans then after a few hours I am asleep in a chair.
I understand the heck of what you are going through, I had my thryoid killed off with radioiodine I 131 3 years, then I went from hyperthroid to hyptothyroid. I haven't felt the same since. I wish that I would have just taken drugs to decrease my hyperthyroid problem instead of a thyroid that doesn't work at ALL, ( nothing).
I was given the radioiodine which lowered it a little but my thyroid is still over active. Now they want me to go through another dose of radioiodine. I refused because they seem to intend to make me become hypo. Why do you feel hypothyroidism is worse than hyperthyroidism.
I agree with you 100%. I also suffer from the similar symptoms and I get told by my parents that you have to make yourself do things. It seems like they think we can control it but we can't. Everyone is a complex system like a computer. Things effect us mentally/physically. If thinks aren't right and out of balance, then well behave differently. In the states I wish alternative treatments was covered by insurance and not just western medicine that I don't agree with.
I have the same problems and the docs all said that nothing was wrong...eat less... I was!!! It was so frustrating but I found a natural cure...I went to a chiropractor. I have been going for 5 weeks and I feel soooooo great!!! I have energy and I've even already lost a pant size. I am even taking my son (age 7) and he'll come home from school and tell me how great he feels! As a mom it just makes me so happy to see him feel well! Abundant life chiro - look into it...
hi there ive had thyroid prblems for 14 yrs its now turnd in2 a goiter im waitn to go infor an operation to get it removed it is a very scary thing n nt alot of people understand wats hapening i sympathiz with u n every one else
I have a thyroid problem also and it seems as if no one understand me or what im going though. it is heatbreaking :( btw im a teen with it and it sucks
I understand perfectly where you are coming from. I have suffered with my thyroid for the last 7 years with a lobectomy in 2007. You address your video to guys but more women suffer from hypo/hyper thyroid problems than men. I have tried Thyax, which was good for 15 days and gave me a lot of energy but I gained 41bs with it because apparently, according to a prof in endocrinology, it blots out normal thyroid function.
I'm was worried I had HIV after getting back from Thailand so I have put it off for over nearly 2 years.. I went to the dox and I might have an overactive thyroid..
I suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, depression etc. for years and finally was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I also discovered I have wheat intolerance. It would be a good idea for you to request a food allergy/intolerance test as well. There may be more than one problem. Good luck.
Yep I agree the drs will start you off with the cheapest medication.. "To find out your correct dosage:". I understand about being tired!, and I can sympathize with you. I have added B12 subligual to my diet, it helps!
i get it... i have Hashimoto Thyroid disease - it sucks to have the fatigue. I had a needle biopsy today because I have thyroid nodule - it was hell. Good luck to you. God Bless.
OMG!!! Dis video made me cum to tears!!! I didnt know oder ppl felt like dis too!! I seriously thought i was krazy n was about 2 go c a psycologist!! I soo totaly feel u!! Its a LIVIN HELL!! N ONLY ppl dat have it understand wat its like! Other ppl just say ur lazy u dont care u exaggerate ect!! WOW!! I cudnt agree more w every word u say in dis video!!
I'm there with ya, bro!! Day in, day out for the past 15 years! I take care of myself in every way possible (no drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.. never have, never will.. I haven't even had any caffeine in a year), I work out 3-4 times a week, weights and cardio, I diet like a king (thank you, fitday).. and still tired as *hell* every day, blubbery, irritable, every day.. TSH 3.8 (new normal range 0.3-3.0). looking for a doctor with a clue.
Can't agree more! I was switched to synthroid and I bottomed out! Armour is the real help here! Can't hurt. Talk to your doc...see if you can try it. Maybe even better, CHANGE YOUR DOCTOR!!! There is hope out there.
synthroid and levothyroxine left me with symptoms although my test results were "on target" (since 1990) Just switched to armour a week or so ago, I'm drinking 1 instead of 3 large coffees a day just to stay awake... Time will tell. Thanks for posting!!!
I do understand you. Feeling down is just another symptom of this disease. I have Hashimotos thyroiditis. Autoimmune disease where the thyriod is attacked by your own body. I mirror your feelings and symptoms. The extreme tiredness is all consuming.
I fear my children are only going to remember me as being tired and sleepy all the time. I feel my life is wasted being unable to do what others find natural. Live!! So yes, Im with you here. Im going for my first appointment with a endocrineologist in Feb. Been on a waiting list. I hope she will be able to help. The meds im on, are not doing much for me. All my best to you.
a good endo-doc will test all your thyroxin levels, not just T4's. You will get good info from your tests. I never knew there was more than a t4 test till i researched it myself.
My doctors over the years were always content with making sure my t4 was to level, which kept me in Thyroid Hell... Have hope- your on the right track.
OMG, I worry about the same thing. I don't have the energy to do the simplest things with my kids or otherwise. I just finished 4 years of school and thought I was gonna die all the way through it. I had to literally kick myself to keep going. So much fatigue and depression. So I'm joining the club here. God bless us all
It should be so simple, shouldnt it? Level out the thyroid and get back your quality of life? Since my last post, I've been to the endo, had all my tests and in turn have had my meds increased to the max. Every 6 weeks I have the bloods done and still its eratic. All over the place! Each time she asks the same thing? How are you feeling? Is there an improvement? Oh how I wish I could have a positive answer, but I don't...
Also a week ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. The thing some of the symptoms overlap, which explains the severity of this hell to me!! The other day I took my boys aside and once again told them that its not by choice that I'm always sleeping and inactive, but that my body just does'nt want to function properly:( Its sad and my biggest regret, that I'm unable to do the "fun" things with them. Im only 40 but feel ancient. Good luck to you and God Bless
hey i have the exact same thing that you do! What kind of medication are you taking? I am taking levothyroxine at 150 mg and ellbutrin for depresion at 300 mg daily.

I wait at least 45 minutes before eating. My GP also was not interested and even told me it doesn't matter when you take the tablets.
Its 3 weeks now that I have changed the way I take the tablets. I feel great.
Also do not take iron suppliments or drink coffee for 4 hours after taking the tablets.
I totally sympathise with you I was always so active and then went to sleeping 18 hours a day.
Take care mate x

I have been living in a fog for the 3 years I have been taking Levothyroxine, putting on weight and lethargic howerver all tests said I was ok.
The instructions say,"Take with water before food". That is what I was doing.
I have now found out from the internet that you must take them with water, on an empty stomach, at least 1/2 an hour before food.
At last I am out the fog, loosing weight, better sense of smell and taste and raring to go.
The packet instructions are misleading and dangerous

and yes, the doctors failure to treat us is due to ignorance, myth, arrogance and money driven interest to make T4 ( the biggest money maker for them)the only one stop solution..I think the NHS has destroyed and sent hundreds of thousands to their deaths prematurely/ through ill health or suicide..they abuse us and exploit us, while keeping us ill..50% of hypo's say the T4 which is pushed on them as the 'only' cure works not 1 %...fight these corrupt, ignorant, arrogant torturers.&join thyroiduk
vincent4500 3 years ago

VickyGoss 3 years ago
Hello,
I was given the radioiodine which lowered it a little but my thyroid is still over active. Now they want me to go through another dose of radioiodine. I refused because they seem to intend to make me become hypo. Why do you feel hypothyroidism is worse than hyperthyroidism.
Thanks

There is an iodine supplement called Atomidine that is available from
caycecures . com
you can also look Atomidine up on W i k i, there is a lot of good thyroid info on there about it!

Good Luck!

i totally understand aswell i have been suffering for 2 years now and i feel like noone understands. Thankyou so much for posting this video.

Bungy221089 3 years ago
can you sutrgically remove the thyroid and take thyroxin? Is that an option?

Can you not get signed off on the sick??

I notice this post is from a year ago.
I hope you are feeling better now.

God Bless.

I word..ARMOUR. Synthetic stuff is shit.
SeppLainer 4 years ago
Can't agree more! I was switched to synthroid and I bottomed out! Armour is the real help here! Can't hurt. Talk to your doc...see if you can try it. Maybe even better, CHANGE YOUR DOCTOR!!! There is hope out there.
pollybmc 3 years ago
synthroid and levothyroxine left me with symptoms although my test results were "on target" (since 1990) Just switched to armour a week or so ago, I'm drinking 1 instead of 3 large coffees a day just to stay awake...

Tessietots 4 years ago 2
a good endo-doc will test all your thyroxin levels, not just T4's. You will get good info from your tests. I never knew there was more than a t4 test till i researched it myself.
My doctors over the years were always content with making sure my t4 was to level, which kept me in Thyroid Hell... Have hope- your on the right track.
newton2013 4 years ago
OMG, I worry about the same thing. I don't have the energy to do the simplest things with my kids or otherwise. I just finished 4 years of school and thought I was gonna die all the way through it. I had to literally kick myself to keep going. So much fatigue and depression. So I'm joining the club here. God bless us all
penisesunite 3 years ago
It should be so simple, shouldnt it? Level out the thyroid and get back your quality of life? Since my last post, I've been to the endo, had all my tests and in turn have had my meds increased to the max. Every 6 weeks I have the bloods done and still its eratic. All over the place! Each time she asks the same thing? How are you feeling? Is there an improvement? Oh how I wish I could have a positive answer, but I don't...
Tessietots 3 years ago
Also a week ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. The thing some of the symptoms overlap, which explains the severity of this hell to me!! The other day I took my boys aside and once again told them that its not by choice that I'm always sleeping and inactive, but that my body just does'nt want to function properly:( Its sad and my biggest regret, that I'm unable to do the "fun" things with them. Im only 40 but feel ancient. Good luck to you and God Bless
